HT1420 Where do I find Store authorize computer?

Notice that I must go to store and authorize computer before I can move a free app to my phone.  Were do I find this?

If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

I try to transfer the music from iTune on my Window7 to iPhone4s. During the process, the phrase "Some of the purchased item on the iPhone 'Admin's iPhone' including 'Dropbox' could not be transferred to your iTunes library because you are not authorized for them on this computer. To authorize this computer for items purchase from the iTunes store.Choose Store>Authorize>This computer." Where can I find the "Store" to authorize my computer? plus I just want to transfer the music from PC to iPhone; not the other way around. Please help. Thank you.

  • HT1848 When I go to the iTunes store "Authorize Computer" doesn't show up. Anyone know where I can find it?

    hello,
i'm trying to authorize my computer but when i go onto the itunes store, I can't find where it says "authorize computer". My apple ID and account are already logged in, I'm trying to just transfer my songs from my iPhone to my mac. Any suggestions for how to do this?

Check in the Store menu at the top of your iTunes application on the computer rather than visiting the iTunes Store..

More On De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:
