HT1459 why is there a picture of a usb cord and itunes logo on my ipod touch screen?I cant access anything on my ipod touch.
why is my ipod touch showing a picture of an usb cord and itunes logo?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

All I get is picture of white USB cable, an arrow and the iTunes Logo. I have turned off and on again as previous posts but all I get is the picture of the USB cable, arrow and iTunes logo. Please help...
I have been relatively patient - 3 hours on charge but all it does is show picture of USB cable and itunes logo. It it were charging you would think that a picture of the charge would come up to indicate status of charge - wouldn't you think?

Screen locked on picture of USB cord and iTunes
I just bought a 3G from someone. The phone worked fine until I plugged it in to the computer to set it up in iTunes. It went through the process of restoring but will never complete it. The error messag is 1015 which I found means I either need to update iTunes or switch USB ports or switch USB cords. I have tried all of these to no avail. The phone no longer does anything. I can't get the picture of the USB cord with the word iTunes above it to go away. I have just had surgery and can't leave my house for about another 3 weeks so going to the Apple Store isn't really an option for me. PLEASE HELP!
There are about 16,000 threads for a Google search of that error. Don't go to the Apple support page for it, go to one of the other ones that talk about Cydia, etc.
Sorry, cannot post a link here regarding a jailbroken iPhone or I would do so. -
ITouch will not come on, only displays picture of USB cord and iTunes
My daughter's iTouch will only display a picture of the USB cord with an arrow pointing to an iTunes icon. I have turned it off (it will give you the bar to turn it off) and reset it, but it will not work. When I plug it into the computer (iTunes) it says the iTouch is passcode protected and can't connect. Any ideas?
Try putting the iPod into recovery mode and then try to restore. See this Apple article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

That screen means the device has entered recovery mode and you must use recovery mode to attach to a computer running iTunes to restore it. See the instructions in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 and in summary:
