HT1476 Is my iPhone charger covered under the warranty if it no longer works?

My iPhone charger recently stopped working & I don't want to pay for another one. Is there any way I can get one for
Free?

If you are using the charger included with the iPhone, it's covered by AppleCare and the warranty

  • Is this covered under the warranty?

A month ago my iPhone was stolen. A teacher just confiscated it from the thief. However the glass on the screen and back were destroyed, but the LCD still worked. The battery was dead and when I tried charging it, it wouldn't. Is repairing this or getting a new one covered under the warranty?

    No. Only manufacturing defects are.

  • Will the Apple Headphones be covered under the warranty?

    Hey,
My left ear bud keeps buzzing. Will it be covered under the warranty? I got my iPod Touch 2 weeks ago and I really don't want to buy new apple headphones. Please help I don't have a JOB and my parents are cheap! And I don't want to call apple for nothing! So are the headphones covered or am I 'SOL'?

They are covered by your warranty.
You can either stop by an Apple Store Genius Bar http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
Or you can order a replacement online http://www.apple.com/support/serviceassistant/overview.html

  • I recently purchased an ipad 2 secondhand and it appears to still be covered under the warranty. Does the warranty extend to me as the new  owner?

I recently purchased an ipad 2 secondhand and it appears to still be covered under the warranty. Does the warranty extend to me as the new owner. The previous owner has not notified Apple that I am the new owner and has now moved away so no contact possible

Warranty is with the device, not the user.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

  • Is the Laptop charger covered in the warranty?

Alrihgt, so I had bought my laptop on the 27th of last month, and now the charger is buzzing and it shocks me whenever I plug in the laptop and have it on my lap. I didn't get it wet or anything to lead up to this, and I can't afford to buy a new charger. Is it covered in the warranty?

    Hi,
Yes absolutely..Just call HP Technical Support and they'll ship you a new one.
The factory warranty in HP Notebooks covers all hardware (battery warranty is only 1 year) except accidental damages. For accidental damages you can purchase a seperate warranty known as Accidental Damage Plan.
    Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

  • Is battery replacement covered under the warranty?

I've got an ipod touch and the battery is really bad now, needs to be replaced. Under the service page it says that it'll cost me £59 for battery replacement. However I still have my 1 year warranty until May 2012. So does the warranty cover the battery replacement or not ?

yes, it's covered by the warranty
    I'm not sure that's correct.
Warranty covers manufacturing defects, including a defective battery, but it does not cover the replacement of a battery that has come to the end of its working life due to use. I suggest thilakshan that you check this page http://www.apple.com/batteries/replacements.html which explains this (although this maybe the page you have already seen).
Another point to consider; there have been several posts in these discussions about poor battery life after updating the iOS. Perhaps you should check out some of those posts and make sure your problem is not that. After all, if you send it in and Apple say there is no problem with the battery (because it's the short-life-after-update problem) you will be no further forward.

  • HT1349 check if my iphone charger is covered under the free 12 mothes warranty

is my charger covered under the free 12 mothes warranty

Yes, together with the Lightning cable.
But if you expect to get a new one for free, the old one better have failed due to defect or design, not cause you dropped it from the 2d. floor, your pet hamster gnawed on it or any other such user-caused damage.

  • Is my Iphone 4 charger covered under warranty through my apple care plan

Is my Iphone charger covered under warranty through my apple care plan?

It depends on the nature of the problem. If the charger is damaged because of the user, it will not be replaced for free, but if it's a manufacturer defect, then it will be replaced

  • HT4528 phone will not charge covered under warranty

Does anyone know what if you have had the Iphone 4S for 6 months and it won't charge, who you go to? Is this covered under the warranty?

    Go to Apple.
If they determine it to be defective, then they will replace it.

  • Iphone is broken under the screen

I dropped my iphone on a hard wood floor, and the screen was not shattered, but beneath the screen i saw cracks and the all of the colors became distorted. Can this be fixed, or do I have to buy a new iphone?

Sounds like your iPhone's LCD is damaged.
Apple offers an out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price, which pays for an exchange at a significantly reduced price from the full retail sales price for the iPhone, which is much more expensive than AT&T's fully subsidized price for the iPhone. This exchange price does not require signing a new two year contract. The cost is $199 plus tax.

I have had my ipad2 for 9 months and the screen is cracked? Is this covered under the 1 year limited warranty?

In the extremely unlikely event that the screen is damaged due to a manufacturing defect, it would be covered under the warranty. You would have to prove that to Apple that it is a manufacturing defect and not accidental damage. You can read this to see what you replacement options are.

  • What is covered under the Apple leather case warranty

Apple cases come with a one year warranty and apparently it covers workmanship and manufacturing defects but for a case, nearly everything could be claimed to be cosmetic damage caused by the user. Will they cover for example if the case goes wonky at the bottom where the gaps for the lightning port and EarPods ports are?

Sorry, dropping your device is not covered:
What type of damages are not covered by my warranty?
Apple's Limited Warranty for iPod excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, liquid damage, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. Please review the warranty for further details. When a service is not covered under the warranty, Apple will return your original iPod to you without providing service, and may hold you responsible for shipping costs, plus any applicable sales tax.

  • Is a cracked screen covered under the one year warranty

Is a cracked screen covered under the first one year warranty on an ipod touch?

    I'm afraid not:
What type of damages are not covered by my warranty?
Apple's Limited Warranty for iPod excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, liquid damage, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. Please review the warranty for further details. When a service is not covered under the warranty, Apple will return your original iPod to you without providing service, and may hold you responsible for shipping costs, plus any applicable sales tax.
An iPod that is ineligible for warranty service may be eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service. For example, an iPod that has failed due to damage or liquid damage is ineligible for warranty service but eligible for OOW service. However, certain damage is ineligible for OOW service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. Please see Apple's Repair Terms And Conditions for further details.
