HT1490 Why are Batteries no longer removable? This option allowed you to just plug in your laptop and save the life of the battery. It also gave the option to have more than one charged battery on hand for camping and back packing trips. Any suggestions?
Also Mountain Lion doesn't have the timer for the the Battery life, only percentage. How can amount of battery time be shown permently?
The removable battery problem is called progress or more accuratety alleged progress. It is cheaper to install a bare battery pack than to provide space for the cased removable variety. More compact and flatter laptop cases need the extra room that a removable battery occupied. It also weighs less with no case. Cooling can be a problem with higher performance options in these crowded environments.
To me the ultra lightness and compactness of the new laptops is of secondary importance compared to performance and reliability.

Query to retrieve the records which have more than one assignment_id

I am trying to write a query to retrieve all the records from the table per_all_assignments_f which has more than one different assignment_id for each person_id. Below is the query i have written but this retrieves the records even if a person_id has duplicate assignment_id's but i need records which have more than one assignement_id with no duplicates for each person_id
select assignment_id ,person_id, assignment_id
From per_all_assignments_f
having count(assignment_id) >1
group by person_id, assignment_id

I have more than one copy of the same song in my iTunes. Some have the icloud symbol next to them and some do not. I need to clean this up but I am afraid to delete the songs for fear I will lose them. Please help! On top of that my Mac keeps telling me my start up disc is full and I am deleting stuff like crazy!

I don't download very much to my tv, I do sometimes if I'm in bed but usually I do it from itunes. However if you have not fully downloaded something to the tv it is possible to start the download from itunes as well, you have likely activated 'check for downloads fin itunes in some way, could be by opening itunes, selecting 'check or downloads' from the advanced menu or that you simply have automatically check for downloads set in your prefs and it has checked coincidentally. -
When I have more than one tab open, if I click on a picture to view/enlarge, say eBay, and I click on the items photo to enlarge it, when the window opens to view the photo, Firefox crashes. I also notice while looking at a web page, the pinned tabs to the left of the bar are constantly reloading for some reason, The green circle starts going round and round for no reason even though the tab is not being viewed. Both problems seem to have started after the last software update.

Can you have more than one apple id on a computer. We are going away and want to facetime from our macpro to the mac computer at home but both are registered under the same apple ID. What should we do ?
I will share with you what I have done to manage this with my family. While the solution isn't without flawes, it seems to do the trick. First, you need to have one person who is managing the synching of everyone's devices. In my family, I have three iphones, about to be four, and five ipads. We all synch to the same apple ID to allow one another to take seemless advantage of our Itunes, which is on our Imac. To synch individual music or video interests, we simply select which playlists we want and manually synch that way. A couple of us use imatch and the cloud to make the entire library accessable as well. With respect to the imessage, mail, contacts, etc. we each have a gmail account for our individual emails, contacts etc. So for instance, my forth grade daughter has a gmail account that we choose to synch her contacts, calendar, etc to and then that is also the account where she receives her imessages from on her ipad and itouch. My son, who has an iphone and ipad, does the same thing, but under settings, he goes to imessage and checks his phone number and his email as his preferred way to receive imessages and texts. My wife and I do the same thing. To avoid having everyone see one anothers contracts etc, we only synch contacts from our individual email accounts. Here is the downfall to this: When you update your phone or add a new device, apple always wants to reset everyone's facetime and imessage settings and then low and behold we are all receiving imessages from one another's friends etc. To work around this, I simply take each of their devices and go to their imessage settings and only check the email and phone numbers relative to their devices. I dont' know is this is the best solution, but it seems to work for us.

The Store will list only the first category and its sub-category at the top of the page. Like the first category, the others will in theory make your podcast available for searching by category. However searching just on the category in the iTunes Store is most unlikely to throw up your podcast. There are thousands of podcasts out there, and it would be quite impossible to display on one page the entire list for any category. What you see are 'featured' podcasts, chosen by Apple as being special; please see this Tech Note:

Cannot have more than one Mobile item for a person
Hi,
I cannot have more than one mobile phone item for a person. In India some of them carry dual SIM card phones and both will be valid. In Lumia 800, I dont see an option to add two mobile items. I can do with a work around by choosing one mobile item with Windows Live Account and another with Google Account. But then that is not the right way to do it. If I need it both on same account, then I cannot do it.
This feature is available in all the Android phones. Also i am facing another issue is that Lumia 800 does not sync any mobile item #2 of Google account, so I have to go to Google and manually add that phone number to my phone, which is painful.
Hope Microsoft is listening.
But I really like the way the facebook, SMS and all other chat are sync'ed in one place.

-Srinivasan.The wierd thing is they have duplicates for Home/Work but not for Cell. I have the odd contact that has two cell phones. Really only two work arounds, use one of the other available types as a secondary cell number or what I do is create two contacts, one in Exchange and one on Live. Since my main account is Exchange, I put the secondary number in the Live contact, then on the phone I link the two together. This way I see two cell numbers for one contact.

Why does Boot Camp Assistant already think I have more than one partition on my hard drive?

I'm surprised I've found no remedy for this problem in my searches so far. My symptom is that when I run the Boot Camp Assistant app, I get the following error message:
"The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition." The instructions that are provided along with the error message are: "Back up the disk and use Disk Utility to format it as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again."
When I try to follow the instructions, I see that Disk Utility shows my drive as having a single partition. Nevertheless, I've backed up my Macintosh HD volume, re-artitioned the drive into a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume (once using the Snow Leopard Installation disk and once using Drive Genius 3), and restored my Macintosh HD volume. After all that, I still get the same error message. I even defragged my hard drive, which seems to have helped some users I've read about, but it hasn't helped me.
Something worth noting is that I recently upgraded to a bigger internal hard drive, and before doing so, I deleted the Boot Camp volume. I innocently thought I'd just do a fresh install sometime after replacing the hard drive, but hindsight tells me that I might have fallen victim to my own ignorance.
Is there a value stored in a register somewhere that's telling my OS that I have more than one partition when I really don't? Can someone out there help me do battle against my ignorance?
I'd be grateful for any help that can be sent my way...I used DG3 to initialize the HD, which essentially erases the disk if I understand correctly. I haven't used Superduper before, so perhaps that's worth looking into.
I did mentioned the use of DG3 to ensure that I had a single disk partition. I guess the restore from a clone or Time Machine was implied...

Also you may want to reassess to see if you really need Windows on your computer. Remember if you install it you have all the issues every Windows users has to deal with. When I switched almost 4 years ago I installed Windows too but now I only turn it on to see if it still works. Of course your situation is different you may have proprietary software only designed for Windows and have to have it installed. -

First of all in SAP sales orgs are assigned to distribution channels and the combination of sales org and distribution channel which is called distribution chain is assigned to plant
There is no direct link between sales org and plant or distribution channel and plant
So sales org and plant combination doesnot exists and
it is only sales org and dist channel combination which is called as distribution chain only exists
Nowhere in SAP we are assigning sales org to plant
It is because sales org alone doesnot make sense and its combination with dist channel only makes sense
because sales org is a selling org and the distribution channel is the route to sell and this combination has only to pick the material from plant to process sales to customers
The relation between sales org and distribution channels is many to many and also vice versa
Multiple sales orgs can be assigned to one distribution channel and
Multiple distribution channels can be assigned to one sales org
Similarly the relation ship between Distribution chain (sales org+dist channel) to plant is also many to many and vice versa
Similarly plants from other company codes can also be assigned to Distribution chain to facilitate intercompany processes
In whatever way look at it the multiple distribution channels can be fit anywhere

I want to know how the financial SAP guys decide which routing to chose when they run the final month calculation. Or can they make a sum of all routings I have?
For example if I have:
- 3 SMT line where I produce one product. So, I want to have dedicate routing for each line and production version.
In this case if we produce:
200 part on the first line wich have machine time equal with 4h/100pcs
800 part on the second line with have machine time equal with 2h/100pcs
on last one we don't produce now but this have machine time equal with 5h/100pcs.
I want also to mention that all operations in all routings are marked CostRelevncy.
So, the production planner will have the perfect planning But how is this for financial SAP specialist? Is easy to manage?
