    The most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company and report the unauthorized charges. Your card company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
    Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:

    and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. 
    If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account in which case it will be up to your bank to handle.

    We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple
    How much is the charge ? Have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

    Call your credit card company immediately and dispute the charges - sounds as though someone has used your credit card especially since there is nothing showing on your account as purchased.

  • I need to speak to a person.  My bank card has been charged over $500 in fees from Itunes that I did not make.  I spoke to someone in India on 7/22 gave them permission to take over my computer and that is what he said.

    I need to speak to a person on the phone.  I talke to someone in India on 7/22 I have him total control of my computer he went into my bank account and could see all the charges.  His name was Amhit something, he said there was over $500 in charges that I did not make since over a year this has been happening.  I tried before to address this with apple but I never get a person and the amounts are always small and then on 7/22 I got a larger charge so I called and somehow got Amhit.  Amhit changed my apple password to he could get into my account but I didn't know what it was and I have not been able to do anything in itunes since 7/22 but yet today 8/1 there is a $6.39 charge on my bank card.  Something is very messed up!!!!  Amhit said he would get me a credit and call me the next day...surprise he never called.  I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I have a charge on my account and on an email that I did not make I wasn't on the app when it went off I was on a complete different site when I recovered the email 

    Nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have made the purchase - also emails are sometimes delalyed in being sent (I sometimes don't get them until the following day).     You should contact Apple. If the purchase is not in your iTunes history should not be difficoult to get reimbursed.
    For maximum safety I whould also change my passowrd.

    You are not addressing Apple here at all.  We are itunes users just like you.
    If your account has been compromised, then change your password, alert your credit card company and discuss reimburement with them and let itunes support know that your account may have been compromised.

  • HT201303 Billing gone Wild!  As of now I have been billed for $200+ for apps from Gameloft that I did not authorize. What in the blazes is going on? Why is it seemingly impossible to contact "Gameloft"?

    I have been billed in excess of $200 for apps from the company 'Gameloft'. I authorized the purchase of a 99 cent game for my son (Six Guns) and it just escalated from there. The purchases continued on through the night, even though no one was on-line. Thankfully I caught the charges in my morning email.  I have tried unsuccessfully to contact Gameloft for the last hour. They literally provide no direct support information on their website for this kind of issue. 
    Likely I will only be able to resolve this with my credit card company as we will fight it when the charges are posted. What an unbelieveably slimy experience this is so far.  Anybody have any insight out there?

    Chargebacks dont' disable your account permanently... you can always contact iTS and after verification it will be re-enabled.
    I guess, if you don't get back to iTS then yes, it could sit permanently in that state..

    There have been a lot of people with similar problems and there are several threads about this.  This is a link to one of them.  After you do what Kurt suggested, you should probably also contact the iTune Store Customer Service and change any information about your bank account and or credit cards which you may have on you iTunes account also.  Good luck in straightening this out.

    It is probably a test charge to see that the account you have established is valid. Apple will not pursue the charge and it will eventually drop out of the system.   It is simply a technical matter.
