airplay no longer works... it was working fine today and all of a sudden it stopped working. I've restarted my apple tv and even restored to its original factory setting and nothing. please help

I have replied to a previous post as I had the exact same problem.
AirPlay there this morning and not this afternoon.
Glad to say its back now AFTER reconnecting Apple TV back to Wifi(well re entered the pass code) and AirPlay icon is back as I type!

Do you have ‘orientation lock’ turned on? This can be found via the quick options (swipe up), it is the icon in the top-right. If so, turn it off.

No longer mirroring with 10.8

So, why can I no longer airplay mirror under Mac OS 10.8? Why would Apple want to force me to upgrade to Mavericks knowing full well it's filled with problems? I upgraded once and it was the only time I had to use Time Machine to go back to 10.8. But now they want to force me to upgrade so I can continue to use all of the services I used to be eligible for. Bull.

IPad update to 4.2 makes iPad no longer compatible with some devices

Very frustrated after purchasing an iPad and a camera connection kit that no longer is compatible with my camera after the update. Is Apple going to have a new update to fix the glitch? Or Am I stuck with having to load my pictures in my computer then to my iPad or purchasing a new camera that will be compatible with the new update? I cannot find a compatibility list does one exist? Please Apple fix the problem or at least tell me I am out of luck

The amount of power that is supplied to the camera connection kit has been reduced in 4.2, which has affected people trying to use compact flash card readers with the kit - are you trying to use a CF reader (powered readers should be ok) or are you trying to connect directly to the camera ? As far as I am aware there is no definitive list of cameras, but those that support Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) or Mass Storage Device protocal should work.

Ipod touch no longer working with isimple device?

I have a 4th gen Ipod touch that was working just fine with my isimple device in my vehicle until I believe I updated the ipod to the latest firmware. I now recieve a message saying device is not compatible with Ipod, Is there anyway I can rollback to the previous version which I believe was 6.1.2? Thanks!!

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.
Sometimes this works:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Go to the devices support site and see if they have anything. Maybe a firmware update is available. Otherwise you will have to wait for a firmware or iOS update.

Calendar entries slow and no longer synchronising with iCloud and devices

I have a MacBook Pro Retina, Maverick IOS 10.9.2 is the master. Why do new calendar entries no longer sync with other devices and why is there a coloured bubble and I have to wait for an entry to be in the the calendar for about 30 seconds time? Before, new items could be put into the calendar very fast. I have this problem since a few days. Everything else (email, contacts etc.) are synchronising well. I habe checked if there is a tick and everthing looks ok to me. Thank you for your help.

I use gmail for my calender so I sync calender to gmail and icloud. Right now, neither are showing up in calender on iphone.
I did have gmail notes syncing as well as Icloud notes, but turned that off last night in case that was causing the confusion. It hasn't resolved the notes problem.
Any ideas? It does seem a bit odd.

I have a Blackberry Q10 with T-Mobile and have had the following error message appear over the weekend:

My Blackberry is trying to connect to Office 365 for its e-mail. I tried to remove the account, then re-add it, but the e-mails seem to not come in as quickly as it should. I have also tried the Delete Prior and Mark Prior message options, but still no luck.
Does anyone have a solution for this issue? Does it have to do more with Office 365 or the BES server?

Have had issues with z10 but try the following: -turn wifi off when activating Active Sync -do not use a double quote character in your password email account -try using Outlook account option in drop down list of email account types in your z10. Works great. Hope one these helps. BlackZ10

Ipod out no longer works with iOS 6.1

As the title suggests, after updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.1 the iPod out function no longer works with connected devices. With the previous version, I could hook up my Kenwood car stereo using the lightning to 30 pin adapter and the stereo would "Read" my iPhone and begin playing the first track of my music collection. I also had song, artist and playlist search support.
Now, all I get is a constant "Reading" indicator and can't get past this point.
Is anyone else having any experiences similar to this and does anyone have any suggestions to fix it?

Try this.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off.
Set the date one year ahead. Try to get email.
If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to get email again.

My macbook said it can no longer connect with my iPhone 5c

I got a pop-up window that said iTunes could no longer connect with my device (iPhone 5c), and now when tethered via USB cable iTunes doesn't recognize my phone as a device. I've restarted my Mac and phone, reinstalled and updated iTunes, and checked for any physical problems with both (of which there are none). I've browsed the various answers other users have given but none have helped.
This phone is less than two months old. I'm hoping this is somehow a mishap on my part but if anyone could offer some advice I'd greatly appreciate it!

IPod touch no longer 'compatible' with dock

Hi all,
I have a Kitsound Boomdock iPod dock. My 3rd generation iPod touch is apparently no longer compatible with this devices. Or no longer supports it. Sometimes it gives an error message along those lines and sometimes doesn't bother.
I know the iPod is old but it still works well and I use Spotify to listen to music via the Kitsound dock.
Why wouldn't it be working? And is there anything I can do to sort it??

Did this happen after an iOS update? Sometimes an iOPS updates breaks compatibility.

TS3367 FaceTime texting no longer mirroring on devices

Just changed my Apple ID password and it has now stopped mirroring text messages on my iPad and iPhone devices. It is one or the other now. It is not a big deal but I am communicating with someone overseas and it is nice to keep the same conversation going independent of what device I am on. It just seemed to have changed since I changed my password - still working ok but no longer mirroring. Any idea why it has it changed - I liked it the way it was?

Try signing out of your Apple ID on all of your devices, then sign back in and see if that works....

Setup Apple TV with iPad

3. Setup Home Sharing on Apple TV

The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Just thought I'd add my solution, I decided to go with WebDAV and I think it actually works better than the iTunes way, the steps are pretty much the same but avoiding the iTunes interface just makes things easier and faster.
I followed this guide but it does have a small mistake in the httpd-dav.conf file, on line 2, where it's WebServer/WebDAV">, it should be <Directory "/Library/WebServer/WebDAV">.
The tricky part is setting permissions which if wrong will give you errors when connecting with the iPad, I opted to set all to Read&Write since my home network has a hardware firewall. Another convenience was to add an alias to the webdav share on the Desktop.
I'm still expecting the call from Apple but even if they fix the iTunes I'm sticking with WebDAV, atleast until I see what's new with iOS5 and iCloud this fall which should bring true sync for documents (I'm hoping that they will offer encryption with my own keys, if not, then I'll probably keep using WebDAV).
