Are you trying to deauthorize the computer from the account and authorize it to another? or you trying to delete the account all together? I don't believe you can delete the actual account but you can disable it from being used. You can contact the itunes store for that.(this will prevent you from accessing any content that was previously purchased on that account). But I reccomend doing this first:
On the phone you can go to settings/itunes and app store/sign out of old account
then sign in with new account
On computer, open itunes application, go to store/sign out of old account and the sign in with new one.

I moved, and cancled my internet provider, losing that associated email (email #1). It was the same email I used for my Apple ID. At some point in the unknown past, the only other email adress I have (email #2) was also signed up for a speerate Apple ID
I spoke to Apple on the phone, they walked me through changing my Apple ID from email #1 to email #2 and deleting any record of email #1. All worked fine.
But now, my iPhone can't do anything iCloud related because it's looking for my original Apple ID with email #1. I can't download apps, I can't download podcasts and most frustrating, I can not DELETE the old Apple ID without a password, which I've tried but am told it doesn't like it - probabbly because that email doesn't exist in the first place.
So, can I do anything before getting back on the phone with Apple?

Hi.
I had a similar problem myself. This is what helped me.
I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID. Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine.

I want to delete an old Apple ID but have forgotton the password. I've gone back to my maiden name and thought I'd delted the old ID but icloud wont sync photostream to my new ID not will my iphone 4 calendar any longer sync to my iPad and I keep getting a box for my old ID but cant remember the password. Photo Stream and Calendar will not sync to your new Apple/iCloud ID. They are tied to the old one. You cannot delete an Apple ID, all you can do is stop using it. However, the iCloud account associated with that ID and all of its contents will not be accessible using that new Apple/iCloud ID - two different accounts.
Also, any purchases you made with the old ID will remain tied to that old ID. They cannot be transferred to a different Apple account.
Your best bet is to go to Manage your Apple ID and change the email address for your existing Apple ID to whatever it is you want it to be (unless it is an Apple Domain email address - @me.com, @mac.com, etc.). However, if you have already used that email address for the new ID you set up, it won't be available to be used for your updated one: Apple - My Apple ID
If you want to use the email address you set up the new Apple ID with, you can contact Apple Support to see if they can delete that new account so you can use the email address you assigned to it:

If you are having issues signing off your old ID because you don't remember the password, you can reset that password by going to the first link listed above and clicking on Reset Password. If you don't remember the answers to your Security Questions, you can contact Apple Support at the second link posted above to have them reset.

One, you cannot delete an Apple ID, all you can do is stop using it and let it fade away.
Two, apps are permanently tied to an aPple ID and can never be transferred to another. You must use that same ID to update an app, or delete the app and repurchase/download under another ID.

If you created a new id instead of updating the old one then any apps etc that you bought/downloaded with the old id will still be tied to that old id, and they can't be copied or transferred to a new one - so only that old id can download updates to its apps.
If you updated the old id then try logging out of the account on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

You cannot delete an Apple ID; just remove any/all personal information and it'll fade into obscurity. Remember that anything you purchased at the app store will need that Apple ID and password to be updated.

To remove the apple id from the device, go to Settings>icloud>delete account. NOTE: this will only remove the account from the iPad. It will not delete the account.

OK that's what Ithought you were talking about.
You can't actually delete an old Apple ID. You just sign into the new ID to use that one. Your old ID must be popping up because you used it in the past to purchase content with it. You cannot transfer purchases from one Apple ID to another Apple ID. You have to continue to use the old ID if you want to update content that was used to purchase with that ID.
Did you sign into your new account in the settings and you can't stay signed in?
