my iphone 5s is not working it shows that it needs to connect to itunes
Hey Linard Michael,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing error 4005 when attempting to restore your iPhone. The following resource provides a potential solution for this error:
Resolve specific iTunes update and restore errors
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694
Check USB connections
Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, thentroubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
- Use another USB cable.
- Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
- Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
- Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
- Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.
Thanks,
Matt M.

ipod touch has stopped working. the screen showes that it need to connect to power.
Hey there our3goldens,
It sounds like you are unable to successfully boot your iPod Touch. I would recommend these steps specifically from the following article, named:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3281
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more aboutrestoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
All the best,

However, I accidentally erased my account,
How did you erase your account? A lot of people would like to know. No one has found a way of erasing an Apple id account.

Ipod touch doesn't turn on, screen shows that it must be connected to itunes.
pod touch doesn't turn on, screen only shows that it must be connected to iTunes. After connecting it and clicking the 'restore', downloaded the software needed to update the device. After all these steps, nothing happened. then the screen suddenly showed the apple logo, then the symbol that shows it must be connected to itunes.. happens again and again.
Maybe here:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

Iphone 4 will not turn on, respond to buttons, or connect to Itunes - HELP
I let my Iphone 4 charge overnight and it was working this morning with a full battery. I picked it up a few hours ago and clicked the home button, and it did not respond. It is completely off and will not charge or display anything on the screen. A hard reset (home/power buttons) did not work, and it cannot be restored because Itunes will not recognize it. The charger works because it works with my ipod, so it has to be my iphone.
- It is a factory refurb
- None of the LCIs are triggered
WHAT IS GOING ON? Please help!I was stupid enough to sign up with Telstra for an iphone4 on Boxing day. The camera shutter would not open so I took the phone back and argued for an hour before they replaced the phone. Almost 24 hours to the minute the replacement phone turned off and I cannot turn it back on. I am furious with both Telstra and the crap product Apple are allowed to sell. Will be going to consumer affairs as soon as the holidays are over.

My iphone 5 will not turn on it goes straight to connect to itunes screen
I connected my phone to my laptop this morning to sync some photos and music and my itunes asked to update the software. The update did not work as the driver device did not install and now my iphone will not turn on. When I press the sleep/wake button the white screen with the apple logo comes on and then I see a black screen with the usb cable pointing to the itunes logo. When I connect to itunes nothing happens. What can I do?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
