I can't connect my Ipad2 to my home wifi it says "unable to join rge network" eventhought my Iphone and MacBook are connected!!!

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I had no problem connecting to my network and now all of a sudden I can't connect my iPad. Instead of prompting me for a password it comes back and says unable to join the network ("name") and then the option is Dismiss. Anyone else have that problem? I've gone thru all my settings and can't seem to find a way to log into my network. Don't get the option to put in my password. Are you refering to a home network or some form of public
if home network ensure your router has latest firmware and try rebooting it -

If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. Contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.

Everytime I try to connect to my wifi it says unable to join network, my iphone did this to but then I had my router firmware upgraded. So it shouldnt be that.
If you are unable to select Forget This Network for the network on your iPad, go to Settings > General > Reset and select Reset Network Settings. This will erase all wi-fi network settings from your iPad for every wi-fi network you have connected your iPad with.
If no change after this, do you connect your iPad to any other wi-fi network besides your own? If so, any problem connecting your iPad with any other wi-fi network? -
When trying to access my wireless network, get a message "unable to join the network". I tried turning everything off and back on, reset phone, etc. (all of the suggestions under troubleshooting guide). It was working until last night - it suddenly wasn't on anymore and then I couldn't get back on. Any suggestions?

My i-phone cannot connect to my wi fi-all of a suddon. My wife's i-phone 4 is connected to the wi-fi network.

Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

IPhone can't connect to internet on my home WiFi, works everywhere else
For a while I would get the "unable to join network" error, but renewing the lease or resetting the router would usually fix it. Now I can sign onto the WiFi, but I get page load errors and timing out on everything until I turn WiFi off on the phone. I have tried resetting network settings, manually inputing my phones Mac address into the router, changing the security mode on the router, resetting the WiFi settings on the router, still, no internet for iPhone.
Other Android phones, an iPad, Apple TV, Laptops and Desktops have all been able to access the internet through WiFi as well. My iPhone has no trouble using the internet on other WiFi networks. Have I somehow black listed myself in my router settings? Or have I somehow blocked the internet in the phone settings for just this network?I looked into that and couldnt' figure out how. I've just now completely disabled "managed devices" and "managed services" under parental controls and that seems to have made it work. My room mate was having trouble with his laptop as well. I'm the only person who ever logged into the router's admin panel and I never added any devices to any parental control that I know of. I just looked at the log and noticed it had some blocked packets, the IP matched the one assigned to my phone, so somehow I got parental blocked :-/

I can't connect my ipad to my home wifi?
I can use my hotspot on my iphone. No problem. But my wireless router isn't even showing up on the ipad settings. Only sometimes it will appear. If it does show up it doesn't allow the password to be accepted. I tried resetting the router and updating the software. After I did that the router doesn't even register on my ipad now. I know my router is working because it is working on my other items throughout the house.

How can i connect my touch to my home wifi?
I currently live in France and can connect my touch to my son's wifi network in England and even in MacDonalds in Poitiers (France) but i am unable to connect to my wifi network at home using the Orange Livebox. Can anyone help?

Try Resetting Network Settings on the iPod touch, tap Settings> General> Reset> Reset Network Settings.
What type of wireless network security is running on the Wi-Fi network? How many characters are in the network password? If you are using WEP, you'll want to use a 5 or 13 character password as shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1344
You can avoid the limitations of WEP by using the newer and more secure WPA2 Personal protocol.

Hi i have been thinking about adding my hifi and sony digital TV to my home network which consist of three mac computers and has a wifi internet connection. What are the advantages of using airport express over bluetooth hardware. Using the male single plug on the airport express what is the sound clarity like from my Iphone. At present it is not very good using earphone jack on my Iphone 4 to Hifi. Will it improve with airport express. What is the difference between airport express and extreem. Re Airport Express. I use one of these to play Apple Lossless files through my hifi. The stereo connector on the Express is capable of both analogue and digital output. To use the analogue output - which is the same from standard stereo equipment like CD Tape players, and iPhone headphone connector, use the standard plug with the appropriate connectors for your amplifier. To use the digital output, you will need to use a toslink cable - AND your amplifier will need to have a digital in port. The toslink will need to have a connector that fits inside the connector on the Express ( it is a bit longer than the usual stereo / headphone jack and allows the laser light inside the Express to shine down the cable to the amp - which may have a slightly different connector and require an attachment to the end of the tosling cable. If your amp does not have a digital connector - my does not - then you could purchase a stand alone DAC that takes the laser light and converts it to analogue output. These can vary in price substantially but MAY givea better sound - depending on the quality of the DAC and the quality of the amp. The Express has a built in DAC that is used if you use the standard stereo cable, and by-passed if you use the toslink cable.
Quality
The difference in quality will depend on the type of files you are using, your amp and your speakers.
MP3 files may not sound any different, but Apple Lossless or FLAC files which are much higher quality MAY - or MAY NOT - sound better using toslink cable and the DAC compared to using the analogue output and standard stereo cable from the Express.
Personally, I use Apple Lossless files from iTunes and the analogue output from the Express into Rega Amp and Royd Speakers and I'm very pleased with the sound. I have considered using an stand alone DAC but feel the extra expense is not worth it in my case. You could start with the same setup and see how it sounds to you. The quality is difinitely very good and you can add the toslink cable and DAC later. The latest Airport Express may contain an even better DAC than earlier versions so may sound even better.
If you have an iPhone, you can use Apples Remote app to control iTunes on your Mac, to choose music,change track, change volume etc. This all works over the wifi network. You can also stream music directly from your iPhone - or your friend's iPhone - to the Express over the wifi network.
I have my MacBook Pro in my office space, 15 metres away in the next room, my Express and stereo in the living room and my iPhone in my hand on the couch and I'm delighted with the flexibility and the sound.
I have no experience with bluetooth for sound.

Error--iTunes could not back up because the iPod disconnected
Today for the first time I am beginning to get an error message every time I attempt to sync my iPod Touch. When I click on Sync, it appears to be going through all the proper sequence of steps. In the window at the top, it says it's starting the syn
