Delete and re-download the Dropbox app. You will have to sign in again and adjust app settings.

There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
Delete ALL your email accounts.
Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON. Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery.

If you've already unsuccessfully tried to resume the download then the previously partial download may no longer be present on you computer. 
What you can do in such a case is:
* Move the old .part partial download and the 0 byte final file without the .part to another location. 
* Start a new download and pause it, don't close Firefox. 
* Copy the two files (.part and 0 byte final) that you moved above back to the download location to replace the new files that were created. 
* Resume the download in Firefox.

No. All GSM iPhones require a valid sim be in the phone in order to activate. Until you get a valid sim, all you'll be able to do is look at it & make emergency calls.

When you get anything that says your network connection timed out it either means you lost internet connection or there is something blocking the connection between the computer and the servers that it is trying to connect to.
If you have a solid internet connection and can browse to websites fine it's either an anti-virus program or a firewall on the computer OR a firewall in the router's settings that you use to connect to the internet.
Reconfigure any security software to allow Apple's servers to pass.
Useful information for configuring your security software:
IMPORTANT: iTunes must be allowed to contact Apple using the following ports and servers:
          ▪          port 80
          ▪          port 443
          ▪          phobos.apple.com, deimos3.apple.com, albert.apple.com, gs.apple.com, itunes.apple.com, ax.itunes.apple.com, ax.init.itunes.apple.com, ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net

Temporarily disable or uninstall your security software

At least I'm not the only one with the issue. I was looking it up so see if others had the same problem and found a bunch of posts about it. I'm assuming it's not the phone then, it's the software. Should I bring it to the Apple Store? Replacing the phone seems stupid, because the phone isn't really the problem. It's the software! Maybe the iOS 5.0.2 will fix it??? If a server supports resuming downloads then the download should continue where it left off. 
You can test that by simple starting a large download and wait a minute or so before pausing it. 
Then you can close and restart Firefox and see if resuming works.
You can set the pref browser.download.manager.quitBehavior to 2 on the about:config page. 
That will make Firefox ask for confirmation if you want to cancel the download if you close Firefox.

The Kindle app is so you do not have to use a Kindle. Yes, he can have a Kindle account and not own an actual Kindle hardware device.

It sounds like either your hard drive or the SATA cable that connects it to the motherboard are failing. This could be heat related in your case, which is why you see it after it runs awhile. You can take it to the Genius Bar for a free evaluation. If you decide to test it yourself, I usually suggest moving the hard drive to an external enclosure. If it works there for awhile, the cable is probably the issue.

If you get a network timeout error, then disabling the computer's security software duirng the download and update usually resovles that error.
If that is not the error what is the wording of the error message.
Note that only a 3G or 4G iPod can go to iOS 5. A 2G iPod can only go to iOS 4.2.1

I Tried Everything I Even Restarted My Settings Just So I Can See if That Would Work Because Someone Sujested It But What They Neglected To Say That Their Probrolem Was With A Ipad ? Anywho To Keep It Short I Went Online Logged A Complaint With Apple Made A Appointment With A Apple Store In My Area To Take The Phone There After Trying Everything (Resetting, changing setting etc..........) Nothin Worked Upon Taking The Phone To The Store They Swapped Out My Phone For A New One Volume On New Phone Is Perfect And I Only Had To Wait 40 Minutes

Does your phone work? If so there is a version of iOS on your phone. The phone cannot work without it because iOS is the operating system your phone uses to run.
To update your iOS to the latest version for your device go to Settings > General > Software Update
That will tell you if there is an update available for your phone. I always suggest making a backup of your phone before updating.
If the update option does not appear in Settings then you have an older version of iOS that requires updating while connected To the computer you normally sync with and running iTunes.
