HT1766 Got a brand new iphone 4s, went to bed with it fully chearged, woke up and the phone is off, can't turn it on!!! Help
I got a brand new Iphone 4s, fully charged as I went to bed. Woke up to see the time and I was expecting a call. The screen was blank, I can not turn it on. Nothing is happening. I 'm in freeze mode. How can I turn it on?
First be sure it's charged. If you're not sure, plug your charger into a wall outlet for at least 15 minutes. If it's still unresponsive, try to reset it: hold the on/off and home buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release.

But you will not be able to tell the difference between new stock and a refurbished unit, and refurbished units generally go through more extensive testing than do new units, so getting a refurb may well be better than getting new stock.

just got a brand new iphone 5 today from apple, and my imessages will not activate with the new phone. I was wondering if i had to wait a while for it to activate or is there a problem. I keep getting the message that says it is unable to activate at this time.
it can take up to 24 hours to activate.

That's not a reset pin. There is no reset hole in which to poke it. Neither is there a reset button. It is the SIM removal tool. If you had it, it would save you the agony of finding a paper clip.

Connect old iPhone to computer and save the pictures on computer.

i am trying to download a movie onto my brand new ipod that has nothing on it. it is a 8gb ipod and the movie is 3.4 gb. halfway through it tells me there is no more space to download the movie. how do i fix this?

When I synched my new iPhone with the newly downloaded iTunes, I registered my iphone and tried to "back it up" to iCloud and the message indicating that "the required file was not found or has a permissions error...." popped up.

Updated my iphone with iOS7.0.3, still dont have the option to reject the call or reject the call with a message when someone call and the phone is in the lock screen? I was of the impression that this issue will be fixed with updates. Please see the screenshot.

This is when the phone is unlocked mode. My snapshot is when the phone is locked.
Remember when you get a call when the phone is locked and you used to have slide to answer in iOS 6 and if you slide up you would have options to reject, reject with a message and reject with a reminder. We dont have that in iOS 7. iOS 7 *****, I cannot get back to iOS6, apple needs to be user friendly. Screen shot 1 when the phone is locked, screenshot 2 when the phone is unlocked. -

how can i verify whether i've received a brand new iphone or not? the salesperson, opened the box and activated behind a high desk, (where i could not see). the phone is making noises (from speaker i believe), when i keep it near my CPU(PC), which also has speakers built in front of the chassis.
And since, iphones can be reseted to factory defaults, an old one will look lik exactly new, unless until we know which serial number was initially sold to whom?
So i want to know whether the serial# i own (iphone i.e.) does actually belong to me as a first user or not? before i go back into the store...
If i send the serial # of my phone to Apple, will they send me the first user name?

RajeevWhen you bought a phone, unless you specifically asked for a refurbished phone, you received a new phone. However, if you returned your phone for warranty work, and your phone was replaced, it was either a new or refurbished phone, dependent on the store's inventory. The fact it could be new or refurbished under warranty is part of the warranty agreement and that is what you get. Refurbished phones are exactly that, one that has been refurbished and inspected by Apple. Those units get more of a quality control inspection than brand new phones.
If you are concerned about your new phone and your warranty, then just enter your serial number at the Apple page and it will tell you your warranty dates. If you get a replacement phone under warraty, your warranty will continue until the original expiration date of your warranty. The refurbished phone is warrantied as well. -
I have a brand new iphone. All of a sudden it will not charge. When i plug the charger to the phone it says that charger its not compadible with my phone and sometimes it will charge up to 4% and then it wont charge any more. Why is this?
If your phone is still under warranty, get it checked by Apple or visit an Authorized Apple Service Provider to find out what the problem might be.
Could be the USB adapter, USB cable or the docking port of the phone.

I got a brand new iPhone 12 days ago, it was faulty from the beginning. New Phone?
So, the day i got my white iPhone 4s 16 GB it already started to turn itself off at all times.
Sometimes every 5 minutes, sometimes every hour.
So, i sent it in since the next Apple Store is a 2 hour car ride from where i live.
The first time it got back to me and the information sheet said that there was nothing wrong with my iPhone and that i probably just synched it wrong.
But the day i got it back it started acting up again. Same Problem as before.
So...i send it in again telling the really nice man at the Apple Support Hotline that i would like to have a replacement for my new but faulty iPhone, he responded that he will see what he can do.
The repair statis quotes that a replacement Phone is pending.. Does that mean i get an all new one??
As the title said my Phone is only 12 years old. Does the 14 days thing from Apple include replacements for Phones which have been sent in for service?

When i got my new iphone 5c i updated it when there was a update and it was fine until i plugged in the headphone that i got with the phone siri goes off every minute?!! Something i dont even use or need goes off every minute
I tried to disable siri but the it did the same thing with voice control please make an option to disable all these things because i never use siri but there it is going off without being called upon please fix sooooon!!!!It sounds as if the button in the headphones is stuck and that is what is doing it. In the one wire of the headphones is a button to activate Siri. It is very possible something is wrong with that. Does the phone activate Siri all the time when the headphones are not plugged in? The headphones have the same warranty as the phone. Take the device with the headphones back to the Apple store and they can replace them.

Got a brand new iphone 4, stuck on activation screen
when i plug into itunes it says wrong sim card inserted however the phone is sim free.
i got the phone off of ebay, the guy was a trusted seller 100% feedback and sold loads of them with no complaints. he said if i go to the apple store because its brand new they would replace it but i am not sure they will. is there any other way to prove that its sim free or on a fixed network?

No, it's not normal.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
Frankly though, considering it's new, take it back to Apple.
