Backups are only used for restoring iPhones via iTunes.
If you desire to go about another method for extracting data from a backup, use google to find out how (if possible) to make that happen.

At first my pages was working fine after I installed it, but just recently it won't let me print, save or export my documents. I went back to the aaplication store and it shows that pages has been installed. I have no idea what to do next.
You need to totally delete the demo version files then reinstall your registered version.

Hey! I downloaded a movie from itunes yesterday. I watched the beginning of it and now i wanna go on, but itunes says that it´s not authorized for this computer. But i watched it on this computer. So, what can i do? thanks!
Log out of the iTunes Store on your device:
Settings>iTunes & App Store...tap your Apple ID, then select "Sign Out"
Reset your device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
After the device has restarted, sign back in to the App Store as above. -

I tried several times to download pages that I already pay for and it says that there was an error in the installation , what can I do

I see v10.7.4 in your profile but make absolutely sure that's correct because the minimum requirements for Pages is v10.7.4 according to the Pages Information panel at the App Store.

Do you have location services turned on? See Settings > Privacy > Location Services
In any event Maps can be used to obtain directions by supplying the start and end locations after touching "Directions" in the upper left corner. -

Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. So I have been restoring my iPhone5 from a backup for about 3 hours now however iTunes still says that it is going to take over 24 hours to complete the restore process and the progress bar hasn't moved much at all. I feel like something has gone wrong somehow and it shouldn't take this long to complete. Is there something I can do to speed up this process or do I just have to try to wait it out? I'm scared to just unplug my phone and try again since it might screw something up.
if u unplug then that could put ur device into recovery mode. i would wait

Either purchase additional iCloud space or turn off iCloud backup and backup you new phone with a computer running iTunes.

Improperly seating memory is the curse of everyone, even experts. No one wants to "break" the memory or the slot by pushing too hard.
So, try again. Push maybe *just a twinge* harder to seat the memory (just a twinge).
As to speed ... memory mainly lets you keep more things active concurrently. Unless you were severely overtaxing your old memory and causing huge "Page Out" counts, only faster HD makes huge speed increases. -
Hi, I need to reinstall Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro, so I made a backup yesterday and today I tried to reinstall everything from that backup.
To my surprise, Time Machine says that the last full backup was made on February!

Thank you very much.Most likely, some folders were inadvertently excluded from your backups, and as a result you can't restore your data in Recovery, Setup Assistant, or Migration Assistant.
Starting from a fresh installation of OS X, set up a new administrator account and log in. Follow the instructions on this page to associate your existing backups with the new installation.
You should now be able to enter Time Machine and restore your user data from a snapshot.* I suggest you do this in two stages. Quit all applications except the Finder before you begin.
Restore all the visible items at the top level of your home folder.
Hold down the option key and select Go ▹ Library from the Finder menu bar. Enter Time Machine and restore all items in the Library folder. Log out and log back in as soon as the restore is complete.
Any other invisible folders or files at the top level of your home folder that you want to preserve will have to be restored separately. For most users, that isn't necessary.
You'll have to reinstall all third-party applications from scratch, or restore them from another kind of backup, if you have one.
