HT1766 how can you back up an iphone 4s when you can not see the screen to enter the apple id password on the phone
I'm looking for some advice please. Ive dropped my iphones 4s in water and its all working except the screen is not visable. I havent backed up my phone before and need to do so as i am getting a replacement. I am trying to connect it to the computer but it keeps asking for me to put in the apple password on the handset which i can not do. Is there any other way i can back up my phone?

I have several contacts in the addressbook of my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1) for which I have entered multiple phone numbers. In the call history the names of my contacts are shown, which is fine. To call someone back based on the history I would like to know which number was used to call me. Is there a way to get to this information?
It will say "mobile" Home", etc under the name.
You can also tap the blue arrow and see the highlighted number.

No I haven't synced my iPhone with the computer I'm currently using. The computer that I normally sync my iPhone with is being repaired.

Now I have a few more questions: If I mail my broken iPhone to Asurion, will I be able to get my data off of my iPhone once Asurion has it? And what will happen to my old iPhone and the data on it if I activate my replacement iPhone? Will my broken iPhone just become de-activated and will the data be erased or lost or something? Could I still sync it (with the computer ir originally synced with) and back up the data?

i lost my iphone and reset it all through find my iphone and after locating it and getting it back i can not turn the phone back on how can i fix this
Unless you had enabled Find My iPhone on it before it was lost then there isn't any way to locate it (it can only be turned on directly on the phone, it can't be done remotely). If you did enable it then you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPhone disabled on it.
If you think that it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc. -
I was trying to get the iOS 8.2 on my iPhone 5 but then it stopped and my phone is now on recovery mode I have pictures I need and they did not all fit on iCloud how can I use the phone again with ALL my pictures and videos without restoring it?
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created. -
My front screen seems to zoom in when I start it now. AND, now I can not see the page fit the screen. It makes me scroll on the borders to move parts of the screen into view. Something changed and I don't know what happened or how to get it back to normal. Please HELP!!! Thx!
it is possible that zoom maybe enabled i think double taping with three fingers should disable it.
or you can go into settings>general> assessability> zoom and turn it off.

There is nothing you can do now. There are apps available from the app store that would give you that information if installed before it was lost/stolen.

The laptop I originally synch'd my iphone 4s with is broken and cannot retrieve any files. How can I sync the phone with a new laptop without losing all my downloaded music and apps already installed on my iphone?
If the answer to the above question is "yes", FIRST, set up a backup of your new computer before you do anything else so the next time your computer breaks you will not be in the same situation. If it has been Disabled after entering the wrong passcode - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.
Unfortunately, you must restore it in iTunes on your computer. There is no way to retrieve a forgotten pass lock code.
You will need to Restore your device from the same computer that you most recently synced to. See - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.

Find My iPhone only keeps a history of locations after you put it in lost mode. It also has to be online to provide an updated location.

As long as you can't get a hold of the device, you can't do anything more than talking to your daughter about it.
Erasing the device could also be an option to keep her from using apps you don't want her to have on her device.

My iphone is gray or black it is functioning but you can not see the screen so I can not call or text or anything, I have a child that is very ill and I have to have access to a phone at all times can someone help me? It happened one other time when I plugged it in to my to listen to music. I know it is working it said something on voice control. Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order -
I tried to send a mail message to too many addees. when the rejection came back "cannot send message using the server..." the window is too long to be able to see the choices at the bottom of it. how can I see the choices at the bottom of that window?

I'm not concerned about sending to the long address list. I just can't get the email and window that says "cannot send emai using the server..." to go away. The default must be "retry", because although I cannot see the choices at the bottom of the window if I hit return it trys again... and then of course comes back with the very long pop up window that I cannot see the bottom of so I can tell it to quit trying...
