Why won't my debit card work? Everything in my account information is correct!
Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same format and spacing as on your credit card bill : iTunes Store: My credit card's security code or zip code does not match my bank's records - Apple Support ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:

Using a debit card in any online service where it stores your card is a bad idea in any case since if someone gains access to your account in the service, they can quickly drain your bank account. Credit cards limit your liability, as do prepaid iTunes cards.

Why my axis debit card is not accepted for downloading apps from from store. I am using I phone 5 ,iPad 3 and MacBook Pro.
The system only accepts VISA and MasterCard debit cards issued by a bank in which you have a savings or checking account tied to the card.

Try to change the credit information from your iphone or other ios device. Tap on settings > store > tap Apple ID > tap view account > tap payment information > change

Change your payment information on a Mac or PC
Click to open your account in iTunes (you may need to sign in with your Apple ID), or follow these steps:
Open iTunes and click iTunes Store.
Click Sign In and enter your Apple ID.
Click your Apple ID and select Account.
From the Account Information page, click Edit to the right of Payment Type.
You can see the payment methods that the iTunes Store accepts in the Payment Type section.
If you want to remove the payment method, select None in the Payment Type section. See what to do if None isn't showing or you can't select it.
Change your information and click Done.

iTunes keeps telling me my debit card is declined, when I am trying to use an iTunes card that I added today. The amount from the iTunes card shows on the account.
You need to fix the issue with the credit card on the iTunes account or you can remove the credit card.

i've put debit card as payment for itunes music.iTunes doesn't not like my debit card. its thinks its a credit card. error massage: credit card was declined. please enter the correct information. i was using the gift cards but i have got a repeat code number. i was hoping to not use a gift card again. i have not used since september.i would not want to get a repeat code number massage. thanks
Debit cards are no longer accepted as a valid payment method in all countries, possibly because they aren't considered as safe as credit cards when using on sites that store the card's details. You've double-checked the debit card's details (it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account, and was issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are) ? Or do you have a credit card that you could use instead ?

This is just a user - to - user support forum so no one can help you with payments.
The Apple Store accepts different forms of payments in different countries. If you do not have the option to pay with a debit card then you must choose another form of payment.
Try calling Apple at the phone number that appears in your Apple Online Store. -
