  • Syncing- Itunes is not recognizing my Iphone

Itunes is not recognizing my Iphone when I open Itunes to Sync recently added information.

I'm having the same issue but the apple solution did not solve the problem. Apple mobile device is started and i reinstalled itunes several times but it still only recognizes the iphone camera but it doesn't show in itunes for sync.
This problem is very recent and everything has been working fine for 6 months with the same configuration.
The cable is not the problem, nor is the iphone as i tested it with different cables and computers.
    Any help is appreciated.

Contacts are NOT part of the iTunes backup.  If you had read the User Guide when you got your phone, you would have learned that Apple recommends you synch your contacts for safekeeping to your computer (Outlook, Address Book) or a cloud service.  Using the phone as your only source of your contacts is foolish as the phone can easily be lost, damaged, stolen, or the data become corrupt.
If you've been using your phone as strongly recommended, your contacts are safe and sound on your computer or cloud service ready to be synched back to your phone.  Of course, you should be backing up your computer regularly as well.
If you haven't been doing this, your contacts are likely gone.

  • Suddenly iTunes is not recognizing my iphone.

It's the newest version of iTunes, latest version of Mac OS (in fact, just installed leopard snow). I tried restarting both iphone and computer. Any advice?

Have you found a way to fix this problem? I have reinstalled iTunes, rebooted my computer and phone, checked for conflicts in msconfig and all to no avail. My phone is not recognized by my computer or by iTunes. The phone still launches iTunes when the phone is placed in the cradle. The phone is also visible , and it is also visible on My Computer, but it can't be opened to view pictures. It is very frustrating. Does anyone have a solution to this?

  • ITunes STILL not recognizing my iPhone 4S after 3 months

I have the latest version of iTunes, and the latest upgrade to iOS 7.  My computer (running Windows 8--I have not upgraded to 8.1 because I hear it has all kinds of even worse problems) recognizes my iPhone 4S as a device, and opens it in "My Computer" right away when I plug it in.  However, since September, no matter how many times I upgrade iTunes, try the various forms of troubleshooting I find online, or reboot my laptop and iPhone, iTunes is fully convinced that no device is plugged in at all.
Here is my diagnostics report in full:

The only fix I haven't tried (because I can't get it to work out) is to open something specifically called the "Device Manager" on my computer.  For some reason this isn't there; I only have something called "Devices," and as you can see above, "Devices" says that my iPhone is connected correctly.
This is bothering me.  I have purchased and ripped autographed CDs in the past 3 months, but I can't put them on my iPhone.  I have PDF files I'd like to read on the go, but I can't put them on my iPhone.  The only kind of file transfer I can do is to move photos from my phone to my computer.  This is all I've been able to do for the past 3 months.  Please, PLEASE, somebody fix this!!
