HT1923 removed itunes after getting error when trying to update. restarted computeer and now i can't download it

I'm trying to re-install i-tunes on my PC but it won't let me. I had an error message when i loaded i-tunes and then uninstalled it as instructed. what do i do now?

After I did that I tried to install and it just tells me "Thank you for using itunes" without actually installing it.
Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

I'm getting this error when trying to update CC apps on my iMac:

Ggallowaycb it would appear that your current User account's file permissions have become compromised and you are unable to write/modify a specific directory. I was charging my IPod and I received a message to update it. Now I can't shut down or turn of my Ipod. It has the ITunes Icon and the adapter plug on it. It states I need to restore my IPod, but I could possibly lose all of my data. I have spent a lot of time and money on itunes and games. I really don't feel like going throught this again. - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

This issue got resolved using the below payload...basically you will need to update the task with all other task details that you will get in response from getTaskDetailsById() or getTaskDetailsByNumber()...

Specific to iPad are the following:
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

Someone sorted out this issue by installing API 1.2 and copying the dll files to the service manager server ,service folder and replacing it with API 2.0 dll files.

Steve, glad that you solved it yourself, but it might be worth taking on board that the steps you mention have not been sufficient for many people which is why Apple and others like myself have been offering somewhat deeper advice. Perhaps reiterating what has often already been suggested in such threads is not really necessary.
Not that you've asked for a critique of your style, but the first sentence of your post above that you are copying elsewhere is appropriate in this thread where you are replying directly to me, anywhere else it perhaps suggests that others should have been able to do likewise and comes over a tad arrogant, though I'm sure that isn't the intention.
