  • How do i restore a previous version of an itunes backup?

how do i restore a previous version of an itunes backup? my iphone backup was overwritten by a newer backup which i don't want. this is urgent because i have lost all my important notes and all my important contacts! i am using windows vista.
thank you for your help, if i can solve this horrible problem!

iTunes only keeps one normal backup per iOS device. As you've found out, its an incremental backup in that only data that has changed is actually backed up or overwritten. You can view available backups under iTunes>Preferences>Devices. Any backups listed that are time/date stamped are backups from restore points. These backups are not overwritten. Do you maintain a backup of your computer data? If so, you might be able to retrieve a prior iPhone backup from your computer backup.

How do i restore the previous version of firefox? I now have firefox 6. AVG Safe Search does not work with 6 and surf the web so much doing research that i need it back. Thanks, Sally

Using the older version of firefox is not recommended.
Try the classic theme Restore for Classic firefox Menu's

Still, you want to restore the older version, download from the below link

  • How can i get the previous version of iTunes back

I have a MacBook with a DVD/CD drive, Mac OS X (10.7.5). I recently updated to iTunes version 12.0.1.26. It seems to be designed for Macs without a DVD/CD drive. How can I get the previous version back? I don't have a back up or use time machine.

Thanks Chris, there a number of problems I'm experiencing. When I insert a CD, despite the preference being ticked, I nolonger get the box that asks me if I want to import. When I did manage to import I couldn't find where the file had gone. Perhaps what I need is a good user guide for the latest version of iTunes because at this point the impression I have is unless I'm buying from iTunes nothing seems to work as it previously did. It is impossible to add anything to my library.
I'd be the first to admit I'm no computer nerd and all the information I've found so far to try and sort out my difficulties don't seem to work. Can someone please tell me where can I get a good user guide for iTune 12.0.1.26 because I find it far from intuitive? At least then I have a chance of working out if it's me or the machine.
    Many thanks in anticipation.

  • How can I revert to previous version of iTunes

How do I revert to a previous version of iTunes.  Just loaded the new one and I don't want to have to learn the software all over again.  From what I see so far I hate it.

Also, if I can do that without destroying my library and files, it would be great!!

Hi.  I'm trying to download itunes on vista 32 bit laptop.  I've uninstalled my previous version of itunes.  Each time I start downloading it stops at 12% - every time.  I've turned off my pop-up blocker.  Any ideas greatly appreciated

After this frustrating event, just wanted to let others know how I solved it.  After fully deleting iTunes 8 - still no success.  Finally went to the Apple store in Perth WA.  Using their in store wireless, it downloaded fully.  I use wireless 3 and obviuosly the signal is not strong enough.  The Apple store is one amzing experience - worth the frustration with getting iTunes 10 downloaded.  Will have to take another visit to the store as my upgrades keep falling over.

  • ITunes automatically download an updated version of an app which I do not want to. How can I restore the previous version of that app?

iTunes automatically download an updated version of an app which I do not want to. Please advise if there is way to restore the previous version of that app, without losing the data in that app.
    Thanks

Move the old file from the trash to /Music/iTunes/iTunes media/Mobile Applications/ folder.

  • How do I install a previous version of iTunes?

I've downloaded iTunes 7.4.2 and it is not working for me - it won't sync my iPod and keeps giving me error messages about my hard drives since I updated. I want to go back to 7.4.1 but can't do it. I tried downloading 7.4 (couldn't find 7.4.1 anywhere) but when I try to install I get the error message saying I already have a newer version of ITunes installed. So, how do I do this, people?! Is there a simple way to just 'roll back'?
    Thanks in advance.

Try using Pacifist for the installation, and then removing the iTunes 7.42 receipt from /Library/Receipts/.

  • HT2729 How do i get a previous version of itunes?

version 11.1 (i think, no way of knowing). does not allow adding of a folder, also does not display size of a playlist! How can I create a playlist for a 700Mb CD if I cannot see the size??
How do I install an older version?

Use CTRL+B to turn on the display of the menu bar. On there, is Help/About iTunes, which will confirm the version number. It will also have File/Add Folder to Library on it.
Playlists sizes can be seen by using CTRL+/ to turn on the display at the bottom of the window, as before.
No need to install an older version.

  • We have multiple devices among 4 family members (1 computer, 1 laptop, 4'ipods, 4 iPads , 2 apple tvs.  We currently have 1 apple I'.d.  How do I set up my daughters laptop so that she has access to all apps and music, but I don't want her contacts, photo

Is there any way of creating separate I.d.'s under 1 apple I.d.?  My kids are too young to have there own apple I.d. And then they wouldn't be able to access all the music and apps we have purchased .....or would they.  I'm am finding this confusing with the numerous devices we have in the family.  When they sync I don't want all of their friends contact info nor do I want them to have mine. I also don't want their goofy photos.  I am the only one with the password for the iTunes account. I had to take them off of iCloud for this reason.  I am not tech savvy but I can figure things out when pointed in the right direction.  Please help!  Thanks and merry Christmas!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can use different ID's for iTunes and iCloud.
Just delete the account in settings > iCloud and create them their own account.
if the children are minors, you wiil need to create and be responsible for each account yourself.

  • HT4910 Feeling a bit frustrated that my contacts, mail, notes & calendar do not appear to be either backing up at all or only partially to iCloud when that was the purpose for using it to begin with. Anyone have suggestions or instructions how to get this

Feeling a bit frustrated with iCloud as it has either not backed up my contacts, mail, notes, & calendar on my phone or only partially. How helpful is that?? It has already resulted in "losing" data for me in my calendar & contacts since I've owned it at the beginning of this year. Would really appreciate any instructions or suggestions others have used successfully to "fix" this problem. Thanks so much in advance for your time & information!

Apple used to strive for smarter solutions but that has changed.
After "upgrading" to Mavericks you can no longer sync device to device with USB or WiFi.
This is so stupid! First, when you travel there are long periods of no WiFi or 3G/4G. Second, cloud-based services are still pretty worthless because it's slow. Third, cloud-based services are still pretty worthless because of low security. Fourth, cloud-based services are still pretty worthless because of low capacity (I have a calendar from my first Newton of 1996 and iCloud can't handle the amount of data).
Why would you prohibit safe and fast syncing via USB??? It's just plain stupid!
Do NOT upgrade to Mavericks if you want to keep your safe and fast sync for Calendars and Contacts.

  • How can I get a previous version of itunes?

the latest verison of itunes is not comparable with my older mac OS. Where can I find version 10.7?

I tunes 10.7 will not be compatible if iTunes 11 is incompatible.
Try http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1575 which gives you 10.6.3.
