I've been trying to purchase some things from a game app latley
and every time I type my password it says that
"The apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password is incorrect.
Please try again." Its been like this for 3 days now. I even changed my
password to see if that would work, but it didn't. So how do i fix this?

Go to https://iforgot.apple.com and reset your account password.

The "CHAP" puzzles me, but after converting the 0X388, we have the PID 904:

Could RADIUS be be the responsible? Why RADIUS will send so many attempts to the AD/DCs?

Hi Kay,
Since user passwords got changed recently, the account lockouts should be caused by stored expired credentials. Credentials can be stored within services, programs, scheduled tasks, scripts, RDP sessions or even mobile phones.
I suggest you try to locate the machine where bad password attempts are generated through event messages, or by using network monitor to capture real-time network traffic. After that, find the source which is sending the bad password, then clear stored credentials
on it.
If the source cannot be located, you may rename those problematic accounts to avoid subsequent lockouts.

I need a little help accessing my mail on my mac and my iphone 4s after changing my password on Yahoo as someone hacked my account. I can't get mail, I just get Password error every time :(

A little stumped for what to do here... I had my Yahoo hacked, changed my yahoo password (Yahoo is the account configured to 'mail' on both my mac and iphone)... however since changing my password I have found I can't access my mail on either with out it asking me to enter my password. When I do, it say's 'Password error'. Sometimes it re-directs me to the actual 'Yahoo' browser saying I need to verify my account, but basically I can't use the mail function on either device now! I know you may suggest deleting the account and re-installing it to each device and I feel this would probably work as well but (and this is the tricky bit)... all my NOTES are configured through Yahoo, only some are through icloud (which is odd). All notes are about 201, icloud about 77 and the rest on Yahoo and when I go to delete the account it says it will also delete all my notes :/ Now, I am a bit of a writer, and these notes are pretty sacred to me so losing them isn't an option. I don't want to lose them. Is there anything any one of you lovely peeps can suggest. It would be much appreciated.

Yes, you have encountered Activation Lock (Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support). The only way that phone will ever be usable is if the owner the phone is locked to releases it (see: Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account - Apple Support). If you are lucky the phone is locked to the seller, so you can ask them to unlock it. If the seller is merely a middleman and the previous owner is not the seller it gets much more complicated. It's even possible that you bought a stolen phone, in which case you will never be able to use it and you should return it for a refund.

"pdf. protected by a password" error for a few users only

Lately I have had complaints that some of the users of my website are getting "pdf. protected by a password" errors when trying to open PDF files from our website. The files are created using abdpdf (abcpdf3.dll). For 99% of our userbase there seems to be no problem but for some we are now encountering this error. There is no password required to open the file (although there is an encryption owner password set), and the only other settings we have are that the ability to change, copy and edit are all set to false.
There doesn't seem to be a common denominator in regards to environments that the users encountering the problem are using.
Mac or PC users, Windows XP/7 etc, IE, Firefox, Chrome etc.
Just for clarification, the users are only trying to open the pdf, not edit it.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?

It appears that this may be an issue with Firefox 25 (it seems I was misinformed about the other browsers).
Info I got from a user:
The error only happens in Firefox Ver 25 I tried ver 24 and it worked OK an it also works on Internet Explorer or saving the link and opening the document with Adobe reader.
System info Windows 8.1
Firefox Ver 25
If this is the case is this the forum that I should be looking for answers on or should I go to Firefox for answers?

Ow do I resolve an incorrect name or password error?

I have two comps. All were connected to FirefoxSync. After last update to v.19, the second computer stoped sync - incorrect name or password error.
I have set new password on the main computer and copyed recovery Key.
Then I have done the next on my second computer:
At the top of the Firefox window, click the Tools menu and select Set Up Sync. The Firefox Sync Setup window will open.
Click I Have an Account.
Since you're not near the device with Sync already set up, click the I don't have the device with me link.
Sign in to your Sync account:
Enter your account email address
Enter your password
Enter your Recovery Key
Then click Next
All the time I have error - incorrect name or password error?
What should I do else?

Getting invalid password error while logging onto application from frontend

Hi Guys
I am trying to login to one of our clones and i am getting invalid password error.
I ran fndcpass and change my username's password which got changed successfully
But still when i login to application using my username i am getting invalid password error
I am getting the same error if i login as sysadmin
Please suggest to resolve this

Malformed Password error retured by AAA on password reset

I have setup AAA with LDAP on my Windows 2003 AD servers. Normal authentication seems to be working fine, however if I set a user to require a password change, I get a Malformed Password error in the logs.
I am using this with the Clientless SSL portal, the error on the portal page indicates that the password did not meet our complexity requirments, however that is not correct. I have tried numerus passwords and they always fail.
Any ideas?

Just in case anyone has encountered a similar problem I'm posting the solution, which was arrived at by the hard-working guys at my ISP, Eclipse Internet in the UK.
My N96 works beautifully with the Exchange server now that I've changed my username in Profiles > Credentials from my email address to a username beginning with "EM" followed by seven digits. According to my ISP:
The EM username is the original username that the account is setup against and is used during the provisioning of the address, in all most all cases you won't have to use it but obviously we had to be more selective with the Nokia.
We're not sure exactly why the handset works with this username, but it does, and I hope the information can provide an angle of attack for anyone experiencing this problem.

Reset/change password error - cannot log in to builder - HELP!

I'm encountering the same problem I described some time ago here: Reset/change password error - cannot log in to builder
Briefly, the builder tells me I must change my password. When I attempt to do so, the password change page displays a null username, and tells me that my existing password is invalid. The same password failure occurs using the new password emailed to me by the "Rest password" function.
I've cleared my browser cache, closed the browser, rebooted my client (WinXP), to no avail.
Anyone able to help?

My icloud e-mail won't come online. Keeps telling me there's a user/password error

I'm trying to bring my email online but I keep getting the same messge that icloud can't connect. When I run online doctor, it says the connection to the internet is good but all the red dots have a user/password error. I've gone through every password/user combo i've ever used and no dice. All of this didnt' start happening until I installed mountain lion. How do I fix this?

Your talking about the network preferences? Delete all those red dots.. (minus sign) then just put what you need back (plus sign). If you are wireless... then choose wifi. If you have an eithernet cable connected to your computer choose eithernet. Also to the right of those "red lights" There is something that says Location. Select Edit locations then press the plus sign and call it Automatic 2. Then delete all the other locations including the one that says Automatic. Then just rename the Automatic 2 back to Automatic.

Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

1) I changed passwords few time. (through using forgot password options)
2) Cleaned-up memmory and cash using ccleaner.

Probably because you neighbor has no security on his network. Does his network show a lock like

I was having a similar problem before I realised that the reset password page was for US iTunes Store rather than the Australian one (the one I actually use). Changed it by clicking on the little flag in the bottom right hand corner and it suddenly stopped giving me the timed out message. Hope this helps.
