When you have kernel panics, the pertinent information is in the panic report.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.

How can I restore the previous ios version on my IPad?

In the previous version of the os, I frequently used the tool "maps".
It was very helpfull to find b&b around a place.
Now the new tool is **** !
No more metadata...
So I lost the major interest of my IPad when I go abroad...
I'm so surprised to see the evolution! What a progress... 3D indeed but a major regression in the usability !
So how can I roll back to the previous IOS ?

Problems with music app after upgrading to iOS 5

i'm very particular with the organization of my ipod stuff. it has to have album art and it has to be properly sorted out by artist and album. after upgrading to iOS 5 i found several problems with the music app:
1. some artists dont show on the artist section. i've tried fixing the album artist info, sorting info etc and nothing.
2. some albums duplicate themselves in the albums section and it only gets cured if you delete a certain song in the album. if you try putting the song back the albums duplicate again.
3. some album art dont show. i've tried plugging in the album cover directly to the song/s in the ipod, and deleting the song and recopying the song from itunes and still nothing.
anyone care to weigh in?

I just spent hours trying to solve same (I have a iPod Touch 4th Gen) and I am very picky about its organization too. What I can tell you:
1- The artists suddenly not showing in the artist section: Double-check that their albums are not marked as "part of a compilation"... because I had 8 artists disappearing after the upgrade and all their albums were marked as "part of...". After removing that "compilation" tag, all 8 artists reappeared where they had been all along under the previous iOS, namely under the Artists category.
2- I had an album that did not want the artwork to show. And each time I was able to transfer it back with the art, it would duplicate tracks on the iPod Touch. I finally was able to solve it by deleting manually from the iPod the album (by slowing dragging my finger to the right on the album title and click on the delete button when it appeared) then by deleting it also from the iTunes library and syncing. Then I reloaded the album in iTunes and resynced on the iPod Touch and the album reappeared without duplicates and with the artwork.
3- Finally, one album was correct (track-wise) but no artwork. I double-checked everything and manually check the info for each track and 2 tracks had not artwork attached to it and a 3rd had 2 artworks. I manually attached the correct artwork to each track THEN to the whole album. Then I resynced and everything FINALLY worked fine.

Updated to iOS 6 and am now having problems with wifi

Recently- I am having trouble with the wifi in multiple locations. Initially I thought it had to do with my own house internet- but my fiance has no trouble with his wifi on his iphone. We have both updated to iOS 6 and 4G tends to work fine but when connected to wifi both at work and my home it is extremely slow or does not load.

That sounds like a data system issue, call your carrier about it.
Try resetting network settings on the iPhone.

I am just trying to cleanup my phone and already have iOS 6.1.3 on it. I DO NOT want to upgrade to the new iOS 7. Is there a way to do that? Thanks.

I'm still on iOS 6. I'm just ignoring the messaging to update. I use a Mac, and do my phone clean-up using Mac tools. Can still backup, sync, clean-up, move purchases, etc. in iTunes - in other words, you do NOT have to upgrade immediately.

Why is my Mozilla Version 6.0.1 having problems with Bookmark Export and Import (html) ?

I have used this feature numerous times with no problems. Starting yesterday, when I export html bookmark file, I get a delay - and then the html file is extraordinarily large (16,400 KB versus 782 KB normal file size).
Also, when I attempt to import a saved html file, the new file will not save. Again, when I hit the "Export" or "Import"button, there is a prolonged delay.
Should I delete Mozilla and reinstall ?

Thanks for the insight. I seem to have solved the problem and can now sync iCal with my phone's calander as I used to without using iCloud. I am running the same setup as you (iTunes 11.0.1, osx 10.6.8, iOS 6.0.1) so, if you want, I'm sure you can do this too (although it seems you now hae found a good solution yourself). Anyway, here it is for the archives:
When my phone was connected to iTunes, iTunes was showing that my Calander was being updated over the air by iCloud. It was not giving me any other options to choose which calanders to sync etc. So...
On your iPhone, go to settings>>iCloud and turn calandars OFF.
Now when you connect it to iTunes you can see all the old options under calandars and syncing between the two devices is back to 'normal'.
I don't know when this iCloud setting got switched on my phone (I didn't even know it existed before this episode), probably when I updated iOS/iTunes recently.

New version of Itunes is having problems with crossfading songs, it doesn´t work. How do I fix that?

I installed the new version of Itunes (10.5.2.11) and I have a party playlist in wich I need the songs to crossfade for the music to continue playing non-stop. The problem is that even when the crossfade option is activated, it doesn´t crossfade songs. And when it does, the last song played, keeds playing in backgroung from star, so you hear 2 songs at the same time.
Also, I uninstalled the current version an installed an older version, but it won´t let me open the program, becouse "the iTunes Library was created in a newer vewrsion"

It seems that this is a MAJOR issue with MANY end users experiencing the exact same problem - iTunes 10.5.2.11 Crossfade is completely buggy. Apple, get it together, seriously...your QA department should all be fired for this.

One thing to keep in mind, at least what has worked for me: After you make a change to the crossfade timing, you must close out of iTunes and re-open before the new settings take place.
Crossfade timing = 12 seconds actually equates to about 50 seconds.
Click the slider, then use your arrow key to tick over about 20 times - this should crossfade your songs approximately 6 seconds before ending.
Apply, then close out and re-open iTunes...
Peruse through the link above, there are different approaches. Maybe one will work for you.

Can't set up email on Note 4. anyone else having problems with this?

Just got the Note 4 today and have been unable to set up an email acct using the email client. Keep getting the msg "Unable to set up acct. Authentication failed." I have used the same settings to set up the acct on other devices. Any help much appreciated.

We definitely want to help resolve this for you. However, the security settings are dependant on how your EDU accounts are set up. You can of course change them using trial and error and test for successful set up. Otherwise you may need to reach out to the Network Administrator to confirm settings and compatibility. Q. I have an IPAD air having problems with my email deleting after a short while without command.

I've had issues like this before.
I ended up having to call my provide to reset the connection, which worked for a while, then quit. i then took it into my provider for a new sim card and had the connection re-established again. I haven't had issues since.
hopefully for you resetting the connection with your provider will do the trick and a new SIM card wont be nessesary.

I am having problems with downloading files, what is wrong and what can I do?

When I try to download a file (ex: file from mediafire) when it gets the windows that lets me choose where to save the file, the window closes and FF automatically downloads the file to a certain place...(last place file was save too)
