I am trying to download and install the newest OS update for my iPhone4. The install fails and I get an error message saying that my firmware is incompatible. What do I do to resolve this?

Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
Restart the PC first.
If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", and click "Change". Select "Repair" and click "Next" as per the following screenshot:

Same - with latest Itunes version 10, iphone 3gs, ipad 2 and new ipad all on iOS6. I was thinking that some of the songs in your library may have been purchased under a different apple id. You have already done the first thing I would have done by de authorizing and re authorizing. To verify this, highlight one of the songs that will not sync over and use File>Get Info. In the Summary section there will be an Apple ID entry. If it shows something different than what you are currently using then I recommend signing into the Apple ID it shows and authorizing the computer for that one as well.

You might want to try deleting your old backup. That could be the source of the problem.
Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>Your backup name. Click on your backup to select it, and then click on Delete. Click on OK.
Connect your iPad to your computer and try again.

Hi Everyone, I get a error message from itunes saying a song could not be copied to my iPod because it could not be found but the song is still on my iPod. Has anyone else had this problem and what can I do to Fix it. I am using the latest version of iTunes.

If you click on your iPod's name in the source area of iTunes, and click on the "Music" tab, what syncing option are you currently set for?
If you're set for "Sync Music" with selected playlists in iTunes, be sure to double-check that the playlist(s) that are being synced to your iPod currenlty contain that song(s) that are having failure to sync to your iPod.
If that isn't the case, go to your iTunes library, and click on the song that isn't syncing to your iPod.
If there's no exclamation point next to it's name when selected, try playing the song and see if it plays; also, right-click on that song, click on "Get Info".
Check and see if the source of the song on your computer is correct or not. (i.e., see if there's even that song title in the "iTunes" folder, or if it is corrupt).
I hope that all makes sense.

- Try another cable
- Try on another computer

If it is asking for the screen-lock passcode then:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

It sounds like your iPhoto Advanced preferences are set to not copy photos during import, i.e. a Referenced library:
Check your Advanced preferences to see if that's the case. If it is the best solution would be to select the checkbox to copy the photos and reimport the photos from the flash drive. Then check the new import. It it was OK you can delete the previous event with the "missing" photos.

Thank you for responding. So I essentially will never be able to use that button in lightroom 5? do I need to get LR 6? Will there ever be an update for LR 5 that will enable me to use it?
Does DNG Converter work within LR or do I have to upload pictures to my computer and then make a second copy in DNG format. and then go into LR and use them?

The update file is around 700 megs so if you're on a slow connection it does time out. You can also look into your anti virus software or firewall, it might be blocking the file. Also if you're trying to download it over 3G it won't work. There's a 20 meg cap on all 3G downloads.
