2nd > I purchased 21 new tunes yesterday on the new computer> worked great> but when I made a disc to transfer the playlist. I get the music but no album info just 1,2,3,etc. So I have signup both computers to share thinking that would work. But no to that also.
Please advise.
Thanks,

wow ... I get a headache just trying to read what you just said. I went and read how to migrate my library and found that you can only migrate purchased media.
No, you can easily migrate your entire library from one working compter to another.
If you fail to backup or migrate your library and find yourself with nothing but a new empty computer and a device full of content iTunes is designed to only recover the iTunes purchased content, however third party tools can help recover everything if needed.

  • I have my new music which i downloaded in my itunes library but when i go to move it to my iphone music folder it wont move and a red circle appears?

i have my new music which i downloaded in my itunes library but when i go to move it to my iphone music folder it wont move and a red circle appears? i have tried all different copy and paste but it still doesnt work

Drag and drop only works if "Manually manage music" is selected on the summary tab in iTunes.
Instead, use the Music tab and playlists to manage what content is on the device as described in the User's Guide.

have tried several times to clear my browsing history and every time I do firefox freezes and stops responding, then I have to "force quit" from the main menu
    running 28.1

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

  • Is there an easier way to transfer your iTunes library on windows to a mac than copying the library to a usb and plugging the usb into the mac and put the library in the iTunes file

is there an easier way to transfer your iTunes library on windows to a mac than copying the library to a usb and plugging the usb into the mac and put the library in the iTunes file? I recently swapped to Mac and this is how i moved the library from windows to mac and library is in tact but is there an easier way? My cousin just imported her cd's again, but it was harder for me as i have an ipod with over 150 apps and i needed to move them. i think it would be helpful if i knew of an easier way so i can help a friend move his. Thanks

The general method of use is to download a script (double-click or right-click and use Download or Save As...) to a folder of your choice, e.g. your Desktop, Downloads folder or create a folder at ...\iTunes\Scripts. Select a playlist or highlight some tracks in iTunes and then double-click on the script to execute it. If no specific tracks are selected the script will try to work with all tracks in the current playlist or sometimes the entire library.

  • I downloaded some apps for my ipho in the apptrackr site, the apps are shown in my itunes library but when i try to sync those apps at first it works and then it says an error occur (0xE8008001). How can I sync them without the error?

If your phone is jailbroken, we can't help you, as already stated.
If you're new to this and you're trying to download apps to put on your phone and it is NOT jailbroken, you can't do that.
You must go through the iTunes app store.

As Ocean20 say, your only shot at recovering the photos and data is to restore from a backup (with iTunes if you took the backup with iTunes, through iCloud if you took the backup through iCloud).
The erasure is to prevent your data from falling into the hands of somebody who takes your phone and eventually guesses your password. If you feel that the inconvenience caused by this feature and your friend outweighs the trouble that somebody could cause if they got possession of your contacts and other data, you can change this behaviour.

  • What's the best way to transfer my itunes library?

I just upgraded from a PPC G5 to a Mac Pro and I want to transfer my iTunes library from PPC.
    Thank you.

Use Migration Assistant (Applications >Utilities folder) to copy all your user data from old computer to new computer.

  • I cannot find way to transfer my iTunes library to an SD card.  Is there a way to do it?

Using iMac with OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and iTunes 12.0.1.26.  Trying to find a way to copy my ITunes Library to an SD card.  I found some instructions on Apple Support that deal with "Back coupon your iTunes library by copying to an external drive".  I am wondering if an SD card would qualify as an external drive and, if I follow these instructions, I should be successful in copying the music.  Thanks for any help.

    1. Yes, it does.
    2. It will if the drive has enough capacity to hold the library and Mac OS X is able to write to it.

  • My partner deleted my itunes (10) library. I use a WD external back-up and retrieved my itunes library, but when i try to play a song i get the message 'could not be used because the original file could not be found Would you like to locate it?'

My partner deleted, by accident my itunes library. I have an iMac 10.6.7, Itunes 10. I use an WD passport as an external back up and retrieved my itunes library but now get the message "could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" so itunes is not recognised the exclamation marked songs, how do i get the retrieved files recognised. At times I get fed-up with Apple blocking files being used, although I like the product its restrictions are so silly!

You not only have to retrieve the library file from the backup drive but the actual music files (usually stored within the "iTunes Media" folder) as well.

  • I have tried several ways to delete the cookies listed in options and nothing works to get rid of them.

I have tried all of the methods to delete the cookies that are suggested on your support site. I have tried them if the selection in Options is for cookies allowed and with cookies not allowed. Also with 3rd party cookies allowed and not allowed. Normally, I have it set at cookies allowed but 3rd party cookies not allowed.
I have tried CCleaner, Euslings Cleaner, Auglogics Cleaner, Wise Cleaner, SuperAntiSpyware, Spybot, and WinPatrol, plus deleting the temp files in Windows. All that software cleans out cookies. I also have Spyblaster set to protect against hundreds of tracking cookies. It was SuperAntiSpyware that brought the problem to my attention in the first place. It just started doing it approximately a few weeks ago but only the passed several days have I been working hard to get those cookies deleted. There must be a couple hundred of them. I did manage to delete about 5 or 6 of them but the others won't budge. I want to clean them all at and start from scratch and monitor them on a daily basis. I don't want most of them. SuperAntiSpyware claims it deletes them but when I go to Options in the browser they are still there. SuperAntiSpyware claims the cookies are there every time I run the program before shutting down the computer.
I just added that Troubleshooter and looked at information. I'm sorry but I'm not understanding anything. I'm not that computer savvy.

You may have installed an extension that adds so called opt-out cookies to Firefox.<br />
Such opt-out cookies are send instead of the normal cookies and you can't remove such opt-out cookies unless you disable or uninstall the extension.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

  • HT1414 I got an iPhone 4, at the store they transferred all my stuff from my iPhone 3GS. Everything came back but my music; so I hooked up to iTunes on my computer and hit 'restore' to last backup to get my music. But then all my recent stuff disappeared!

.... everything came through when they transferred my stuff exept my music.
So I hooked up to iTunes at home and restored to get my music. The problem is,
it restored to last backup which was April 2012, now I lost all the stuff from then to now!!!
Very frustrated! Can this be undone??  All I wanted to do was put my music on.

You restored to a backup. Backups do not contain music since it is presumed to be saved in your iTunes library. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946
You should have synced rather than doing a restore.
Presuming that your music is in your iTunes library you can put it back on your iPhone by syncing with the proper music selected in the iTunes Music tab.
