HT201317 If I accidentally delete a video from my Ipad, can I find it somewhere else?

I am new to the ipad/iphone world and I accidentally deleted a video from my ipad. Can I retrieve it from anywhere?
Why don't photos show up on my icloud.com?
Why do some of my videos/photos stream to alternate device and some don't?
What do I need to do to make my music in itunes stream to all devices?
Thank you!

If you have your ipad backed up, you can restore it (You'd need to make sure your backup predated your deletion).

They aren't supposed to.

Photostream when enabled will only add photos from the camera roll that were taken post photostream activation. (Photostream does not currently share video)
Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

If I accidentially delete a vuideo from my iphone, can I recover it in photo stream or elsewhere on my iphone or icloud account?

If the video was in your camera roll when you last backed up your phone, it would be contained in the backup.  Restoring the entire backup should recover the video.

If your with AT&T you can hit the phone app - voicemail - deleted message - check there to see if your message is still there.
If your not with AT&T try calling your carrier.

Then you will have to pay and purchase the recovery software.  Data recovery software is never free - how would the campanies that develop those tools ever make any money if they just gave it away?
They let you run a demo so you can at least see if they find any potentially recoverable files in the first place, before you buy the full software package.  If it found something, and you'd like to try and recover it, you will now have to purchase the full progam.
If you do not have a backup of the file somewhere, then a for-fee data recovery program or service is your only real option.

  • How do I delete music videos from my ipad?

    I have itunes match.
I am trying to get rid of music videos from my ipad.
i have gone to settings > "itunes & app store" -> "show all", and turned off "videos".
I have gone to videos > music videos. There is no edit button, and holding the item doesn't give me wiggle mode.
I have gone to the ipad settings in itunes and unchecked every possible setting to remove everything from the ipad. the music videos still stay.
the music videos are still playing even if I put the device in airplane mode. so they are ON the ipad.
How can I get rid of them
    (ios 8.2, ipad2, itunes 12.1, yosemite)

If the numbers appear to add up properly when you look in your settings as suggested by drsailer, the incorrect storage reading might be due to corruption on your iPad that will show as a very, very high "other" storage amount in iTunes. Unfortunately, you can only see this figure in the capacity bar of iTunes when your iPad is connected to your computer and with iTunes running and the iPad selected under devices.
"Other" includes things like email messages, text messages, notes, Safari Bookmarks, Safari History, contacts, cached app data, etc. it should not take up more than a few GB at most and if you see something higher than 6,7, or more GB of "other", something got corrupted. Sometimes that can be dosed by restoring form a backup, sometimes you have to restore as brand new and start all over again. There is a wealth of "what to do about 'other," information a available if you do some searching with Google. Here is a start for you.

  • My daughter has accidentally deleted all videos from her ipod nano - is there a way of retreiving them?

my daughter has accidentally deleted all her videos on her ipod nano - is there any way of retreiving them?

If your daughter owns a 5G Nano (the one with the camera built-in) and she deleted her recorded videos, I'm afraid you are out of luck. There is a small chance that some expensive data recovery solutions can recover some of that, but again the chances are slim.

  • HT201272 I have accidentally deleted an Audiobook from my iPad. It was purchased from iTunes (not Audible - though it is an Audible product). It does not appear in the list of previous purchases. How do I 'find' it to re-download it?

I have accidentally deleted an Audiobook purchased from iTunes. (Purchased from iTunes, not Audible, but it is an Audible product). It does not appear anywhere on a lost of previously purchased items.  How can I 'find' it and re-download it? Thanks!

Sorry, but audiobooks cannot be downloaded more than once without charge, so if you don't have a viable backup, you may be out of luck. You can, however, contact the iTunes Store, explain the situation, and see if they can make an exception for you.

  • I deleted some videos from my iPad mini. Can I restore them with my icloud backup

Please help. I deleted some videos I need. If i reset my iPad mini will I be able to restore with my icloud backup.

If they were in your camera roll when you last backed up, restoring the backup should recover them.  The backup will, of course, overwrite any newer data on your iPad so if you want to keep it you'll need to save it before restoring the backup.

  • I deleted a video from my ipad to the iCloud, but it still shows up in storage under my settings as taking up space. Why?

I Deleted a movie. It shows that it is not on my ipad, but in the iCloud. Why is that movie title still listed as,taking up memory in the storage under my settings?

If the film shows in Settings > General > Usage > Videos then try deleting it from there, either via the Edit button at the top right of that screen, or by swiping/dragging across the film from right-to-left (that should reveal a Delete button to its right). If it doesn't show there then try a soft-reset and see if that frees the space : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How do I delete photos on my iPAD?

To delete photos, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Delete.  To delete albums, to delete an album, tap Edit, then tap the black "x" on the corner of the album.
Note: this will not delete photos or albums (folders) synced to your iPad from your computer.  Those can only be deleted by deselecting them on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.

  • Mistakenly deleted 3 files from iTunes, how can i find out which?

My iTunes library is manually managed.
I accidently deleted 3 files in my iTunes library: my iTunes library has 8921 songs. My music folder in the finder has 8924. So I basically 3 files on my finder are not in iTunes.
I don't want to empty my iTunes library and repopulate it with my music folder, because that would remove all my ratings, and disturb the real date added thing.
    Thanks for any suggestions
    Nick

Why not simply use the "Add to library" line in the file menu and target your music folder? Should just add back the 3 songs without changing anything else.

  • Accidentally deleted a video

please help! i accidentally deleted a video from my ipad! is there an app available for me to recover it? too bad i wasnt able to sync it to itunes!

No, there is no undelete app or undelete feature on the iPad.
If it was a video taken with the iPad and you'd synced the iPad with your computer since it was taken (and before you deleted it), then even if you hadn't copied it over to your computer during the sync you might still be able to get it back by restoring to that backup.
    Otherwise it can't be undeleted
