HT201317 where are my photos on icloud

My phoitos are not on icloud and I do not know how to find them please help I have already lost a large number of photos because I thought they were backed up on icloud.

Photo Stream photos can not be accessed from iCloud.com.
Photo Stream is not a backup solution. It is meant as a sync tool to sync your photos across your devices.
My Photo Stream only holds 30 days of photos on the server and a rolling 1000 photos on your iOS device. Your Camera Roll photos will stay until you delete them and should be transfered to your computer to be backed up.
iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
To access your Photo Stream photos you need an iOS device running iOS 5 or later, a Mac running OS X 10.7.5 or later or a Windows PC (via iCloud Control Panel) running Windows Vista or later.
iCloud: My Photo Stream FAQ
Backing up your iOS device either via iCloud or iTunes will also back up your Camera Roll however these photos can not be accessed directly. You would need to restore the entire devices to recover them.

  • HT201317 where are the photo's in icloud?

I am in my icloud on a pc
    signed in etc.
Where are the photo's that are supposed to be in icloud

You can't view photo stream photos on icloud.com.  They can only be viewed on an iOS device or computer that is signed into your account with photo stream enabled.  To set this up on your PC, see http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.  Note: when you first enable photo stream on your PC you will only get photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud.

  • Where are my photos in icloud

Went on iCloud.com but cannot find my photos. Have 1000 photos in the cloud via my iPod, but can only see 500 on my apple TV and NOT the latest one. On iCloud.com I see not a single one - where are my photos?

Sorry I am too stupid for this.
Via Apple TV I see photos from March this year and they have been in the cloud since then!
Via iPod and iMac I see photos from April should they not disappear after 30 days as they will only be "stored" for 30 days. And why such chaos, different devices with different photos but the same cloud. If pictures will only be stored for 30 days everything should be easy. This is the reason why I tried to see what is going on my cloud.

  • HT4890 where are my photos on iCloud?

I've been backing up photos from my iphone 4 to iCloud (previously Moblle Me) and now I can't find them. Where are they? Thanks

Photos in the camera roll are backed up to an icloud backup (IF backup is turned on in an iOS device and Camera Roll is turned on - this does not pertain to a mac  [this is the icloud on my mac forum]).  However, you can't look into a backup to view your photos.
iCloud does not have a gallery like the former MobileMe.

  • Where are my photos on icloud

I lost my photos when i restored or synced my phone cant exactly remember which but i had icloud and lost my photos is there anyway to find those photos or how to i find my photos on icloud, thanks.

You photos are not automatically backed up to iCloud and there is no way to view your photos at icloud.com from a browser.

  • HT201317 where are my photos?

I have photo stream turned on and photos are being pushed to all my devises but I cant find any photos on icloud.com?

You know a photo has made it as far as Photo Stream if it appears in the Photo Stream collection, on that device or any other. (Test: Stick device in airplane mode and press the home & power buttons for a screencap. Image appears in Photos but not Photo Stream until it makes the round trip via Wi-Fi after coming out of airplane mode.)
    From the article...
"You can delete photos from your Photo Stream the same way you delete other photos from your device. Just select the photo you want to remove and tap or click Delete. When you delete a photo from Photo Stream on one device, iCloud will automatically delete it from the Photo Stream album or view on your other devices."
Once they are in Photo Stream I guess you can delete the copy from the main Camera Roll, but they only way you can be certain your computer has a copy would be to check with a remote control tool. Again only an issue if you expect to be away for an extended period. Note extracting photos from anywhere other than the Camera Roll on the device is not a trivial task.
The article also says that devices hold the last 1000 images but "Since your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, they automatically download and keep every photo from your Photo Stream by default." The earlier text implies that deleting from Photo Stream also deletes any copy successfully delivered to your computer, but that is a slight contradiction with "keep every"  I think it probably deletes on demand but I will check when I'm at home. (Windows 7 box in receipt of Photo Stream collection.)
As it stands it seems you need to leave at least one copy in either the Camera Roll (Photos) or Photo Stream to be certain that you can access it from your computer when you get back.

  • HT201317 where are my photos stored on icloude

how do i access my photos on icloude

Photo Stream "pushes" image files (not videos) to your other devices for 30 days. Maximum of 1,000 files.
If you've enabled an iCloud backup of your iPhone and included your image files, you can restore the files using that backup.

  • Where are my photos on the PC after sync with an iphone?  I know nobody out there is stupid enough to suggest to me that they are encrypted and inaccessible, right?  Seriously?  How stupid would Apple corporation have to be to do something like this?

That would be just as foolish as making my music unusable on the PC...
Okay, Let's assume that Apple is indeed THAT foolish.......How does one get the photos from the phone to the PC and still use them?

The photos are still on your phone, and if enabled in your Photo Stream. They are not automatically transferred to your computer when syncing.

  • Where are my photos i backed up on i cloud

Where are the photos i backed up on I cloud?

I was not aware that transferring photographs from MM to iCloud was ever offered, are you sure. I ask because if your photographs were still in the MM Gallery when MM closed, they are gone.

  • Where are my photos saved on the i cloud?

where are my photos stored on icloud or why can I not see them in icloud?

Camera roll photos are stored in your iCloud backup, but cannot be seen without restoring the entire backup to your device.  Photo stream photos can only be seen in the photo stream album on a device signed into your account with photo stream enabled.  Photos cannot be seen on icloud.com.

The iPhoto library should be in your user folder/Pictures unless it was moved.

  • Switched from iphone 4 to iphone 5 - where are my photos?

I switched from iphone 4 to iphone 5 - where are my photos?

Did you have them backed up anywhere? If not, they are most likely still on your iPhone 4. If you back them up to the cloud or to your computer, you could then place them on your new phone if you wanted.

  • Where are my photos saved, how to archive photos

    Hello,
currently I had imported photos from a camera to my MAC by using iPhoto import and event functionality. Now I would like to backup my photos by using rsync. But I can not find my photos as files on the disk.
    Where are my photos saved?
I am a new MAC user with some expirience in Unix qnd Linux.
    Thank you in advance
    Bernhard

    Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store

  • Where are my photos located?

Where are my photos from PSE 9 located; in what file can I find them.  I am making a slide show using ProShow Gold 4 and I need to access my photos from PSE and move or copy and paste them into the slide show, but I cannot find what file they are located in.
    Thanks,
    Craig

Your pictures could be anywhere, some might even be on a remote disk. Right-click on a thumbnail in the Organiser and select Properties at the bottom of the Popup Menu. In the popup window that appears the file location will be shown, clicking on the folder will open it in the Explorer.
Alternatively: in the Organiser make a selection of all the photo's you want to include in your slideshow. Then select File => Export and save to a convenient (temporary) location. This way you'll have all the photos in 1 location ready for import into your slideshow.
