Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

There are two separate things you can do.
You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account, and if it has @mac.com or @me.com versions these cannot be reinstated once deleted.

Are those emails in the server? If you've already downloaded them to your computer they might be gone, you'd have to check the settings for mail. Your iPad can only download that which is there.

Problem setting up pop3 email account on my blackberry

I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice on a problem I am having. On my blackberry 8520 curve, I cannot seem to link my pop 3 account on my blackberry. It keeps saying invalid username or password. I have checked the username and password and both are correct. Today I phoned vodacom customer care and they were very helpful, and went through all the possible ways to try set it up, but she still got the same error - invalid username or password. I am using my own domain, but the guys who host my website say everything is fine. Here is the weird thing, it was working, but i deleted the account (mistakingly) and now cant get it to work again. Does anyone have any other possible solutions, because ive run out of ideas. Ive tried setting it up on a friends blackberry and get the same problem. The only thing I can think of is when I set up my email on my pc linking it to outlook express, it said it could not detect the settings searching by encrypted and had to use unencrypted search to find them, but even when I put the settings manually into my blackberry, it still wont work. All settings seem correct.
Any help will be much appreciated.

I'm not certain that this is the problem, but you may want to check with your Email provider to see if they require SPA (Secure Password Authentication) in order to access your e-mail. If anything, it'll be one problem to eliminate from the list of possibilities.
Disclaimer: I'm just a regular user like the rest of you. I have spent a lot of time learning the limitations of the Blackberries to know how to fix most problems. If I have suggested a fix, please give a kudo and mark as a solution!

Sign in with your Apple ID in System Preferences>iCloud and check Mail in the checklist there. You will be asked to create an @icloud.com address. You can't make this address your Apple ID.

If you aren't getting that then you could try closing the Mail app via the multitasking bar - press the home button to go back to the iPad's homescreen ; double-click the home button to the multitasking list ; swipe or drag the Mail app from there up and off the top of the screen ; click the home button to close the bar. E52 - How to set the edefault email account used w...

Had my E52 for a few days and it;s a great phone. I've had the same issues as others with email setup but have worked my way through it.
At the moment I have a GMail private account working all OK and a mail for exchange account configured for Gmail so my calendar items will sync, that works fine too.
The issue I have is when I hold down the messaging key on the keypad to start a new email I get the error "unable to complete command".
By testing I have found that this occurs because the phone is trying to open up a new email from within the exchange account, but I want it to default to my gmail account which works fine for sending.
How can I make the default account for sending my Gmail and not exchange, the options for the shortcut key only specificy "email" and does not allow you to specify which account.

Email key works fine now.

How do I sync multiple email accounts on ipad

So I'm now, dubiously, the lucky owner of iPad mini with up to date software and iMac with latest software.
It now seems apple have decided they don't want me to use more than one email account and so have stopped me being able to sync them ? Even for apple this is breathtaking in its arrogance and fascistic nature...
Anyone any ideas?

By synchronize, I suspect you mean that reading or deleting a message on one device will result it its being read or deleted on the other device. If so, this is only possible for IMAP accounts or exchange accounts. This is not an iPad limitation but a limitation in the email system protocols. iCloud mail is an IMAP system; so, iCloud email will synchronize automatically. There could be a slight delay in this, but it works.
Many email systems (Comcast may be one of the more common) are POP accounts. Those won't sychronize at all regardless of device used.
If by synchronize you mean that you can have the account on multiple devices and that's all; no problem regardless of the system. But, remember that you will download all your POP messages even if you have read and deleted them on another device. That can be a pain.
