    The single download means that you won't be able to redownload it from the store without paying, either on a computer's iTunes or an iOS device - it doesn't stop you from copying the audiobook to your other computers or syncing it to your iOS devices, you just can't redownload it. (I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them requiring the one-time download.)
    You can download audiobooks on your computer's iTunes and sync them to iOS devices, you do not have to buy them directly on the device (if you do then you can copy them back to your computer's iTunes library by connecting the device and using the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option on your computer's iTunes).
    What you are doing to sync them should work i.e.
    - connecting the iPad to your Mac
    - selecting the iPad on your Mac's iTunes
    - selecting its Books tab and selecting the audiobooks that you want to sync to the iPad and syncing/applying that selection.
    You should then get an audiobooks option in the Music app on your iPad. If they aren't appearing there  then do they show in Settings > General > Usage > Music on the device - if you have audiobooks on the iPad then they should be listed there under an 'audiobooks' heading.
    By 'restart the iPad' do you mean a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
    You could also try closing its Music app via the iPad's taskbar : Force an app to close in iOS.
    And do a soft-reset and retry syncing.
    I assume that music and other items sync ok ?

    You must have Office 2004 which is a PPC-only suite and will not work in Lion. You need to upgrade to Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion.

    2) Security Options / Make it a local trusted site

    Whether you can re-download music depends upon what country that you are in (and whether it remains in the store). If you don't have a Music section in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone for re-downloading it, then do you not have you library on your computer's iTunes or on your backup of your downloads ? If not then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download

    Select your iDevice in the iTunes.
    Choose the Summary screen (tab) and scroll to the bottom of the screen.
    Then un-select Encrypt iPhone backup.
    iTunes will then prompt you to “Enter the password to unlock your iPhone backup”, enter the password you set originally.

    What exactly did you change, your account's password and/or the primary email address on the account ? If you are using the same account for the stores and the cloud then changing the account's password will change it for both places.
    If you are trying to sign out of Settings > iCloud on your iPad and are being asked for your previous id's password then : If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud.

    It sounds like you might need to contact Yahoo! if you aren't able to setup your email account as a new account after deleting it.

  • I have changed my Thgunderbird password but still can't post from one of my mailboxes.

    I recently had to change my BT password for one of my email addresses due to someone sending spam from that address. I followed the instructions for removing the old password from Thunderbird, (here: https://kb.wisc.edu/page.php?id=19006) but it didn't give me the option to add the new one.
    All my other mailboxes are collecting and sending just fine, but that particular mailbox still collects mail but I can't send from it. I'm pretty sure its because it doesn't have the correct password. I haven't changed any other settings.
    When I check my saved passowrds (tools / options / saved passwords / show passwords) the password for that mailbox is missing. I don't seem to be able to find any 'enter password' instruction anywhere. Please, can anyone tell me... How do I get the mailbox to ask me for a new password?

    Thunderbird treats incoming and outgoing as two separate tasks. Did you also delete the password for your outgoing ("SMTP") settings?
    '''Tools|Account Settings''' will tell you which smtp server is being used with each incoming account to send messages; it can be a different smtp server set-up for each incoming account (this is particularly relevant with gmail), or one smtp server may be used by several incoming accounts.
    If Thunderbird doesn't know a password for the smtp connection, it should ask you for one when you try to send. Since it hasn't asked, it seems likely you haven't delete the password associated with an smtp server.

    Have you got 'Find My iPad' enabled? This has to be turned off using the original ID address.
    Try going back to http://appleid.apple.com and changing the ID back to the original address. If you can get this accepted, then go to the iCloud preferences/settings pane, stop 'Find My ....', and then sign out. Do the same on any other devices or computers.
    Then go back to http://appleid.apple.com and change the ID to the new one. Sign in with that on all your devices.
    However if the address which forms the original ID is now not working it can't be validated and it's possible that you won't be able to revert to it. In this situation only Support can help you.

    A few days ago, I changed my appleid password.  This morning I had occasion to try to use the AT&T cellular data network on my ipad and it keeps being unable to find it, coming back saying "No Service".  I do not believe there is truly an outage on that network.  I am using iOS 7.0.6.  I can access everything via my wireless network with no problem, using the new appleid password.  I have tried resetting the network settings on my ipad, turning off Find my Ipad, and restarting the ipad with no effect.  I just successfully backed up my ipad to Icloud and am about to do so to my computer as well, prior to trying a reset to factory settings.  Before I do the reset to factory settings, I thought I would ask if there are any other ideas or if this is some sort of known bug?  Thanks.

    Remove the SIM card and verify that it's a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it isn't damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
    Check for a carrier-settings update. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Then tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, iOS will ask you if you want to install it. If Wi-Fi isn't available, connect your device to iTunes.
    Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
    Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
    Restore the iPhone.
