HT201322 I unhide all my songs, but they never show up in purchased?
I just got a new MacBook Pro and I was trying to tranfer all my iTunes songs over to it. Not all of my songs were bought, so I copied all my songs (including my bought ones) from my Mini Mac and put them on my MacBook with my external hard drive. But then I had doubles...I wasn't really paying attention to things and I deleted all of my music to start over. But then I couldn't even find my music on iCloud! So I did a ton of research and I found out that I had accidently hidden them all, so I went onto "My Account" and unhide all my music. I went back to "Puchased" to download them all, but they still weren't there. So I went back to my hidden music and all the songs were still there. It shows will let me unhide them, but then never really does.
Any ideas? Because I don't know if its something I'm doing or a glitch in the new "hidden" songs thing. I've tried unhidding my music over 10 times and it never works. I've logged out, restarted, etc already. And I've been looking at other questions on this forum and other websites for two days now and nothing has helped.

This is happening to quite a few people right now including myself. I started a thread yesterday morning and contacted apple support. So far, nobody that I can tell, knows what's going on. Every hour more people are experiencing this. It started happening to me on June 17th and it's still not corrected.

I upload songs, but they dont show up on my ipod?
i have used itunes to upload my CDs and downloaded songs onto my ipod, i click the update ipod button and itunes SAYS its importing them to the ipod, but i disconnect and there is still nothing on it. Does anyone know what im doing wrong?

I try to add files from my computer, but they never show up.
I've tried the copying thing too. usually, all I have to do is click file>add file to library>(chose a file) and everything's fine. but lately, I would go through the process and there'd be absolutely no change in my library, not even a notice.

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

A couple of months ago, I went to the Apple Store to try and sort this problem out. I was told that I was not playing my songs out of an actual music library. I created a library and loaded all of my songs, movies, etc. onto it. I had found that when I synced my songs from the new library onto my itouch, the songs no longer stopped in odd spots or bled into each other. To ensure that most of my songs had been fixed, I played the ones that were the most problematic. Fortunately, the songs play all the way through without any interruption. So far, I have not encountered the same problems that I had posted in my question. I apologize for not knowing the fellow's name who helped me with my iTouch at the Apple Store, but I would like to say how thankful and happy I am now that my iTouch no longer skips to the next song.
I know that other people have had this same issue with their iPods. If you encounter your music not playing correctly, I would suggest that making a new library and loading all of your music into the new one may help correct the problem. I hope that this helps. -

The information below may be able to answer your questions about how to delete songs from your iPhone:
Deleting songs downloaded to your device
Tap the Music app.
Tap More > Songs at the bottom.
Scroll or search for the song you would like to delete from your device.
Swipe right to left on the song, and then tap Delete.
Note: You must be in Artists, Songs, or Albums view to delete songs from your device. Deleting from a playlist won't remove a song from your iOS device.

Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
If you have iOS 7, this will delete the song from local storage, but the song will still appear with a cloud symbol in the Music app, as you've noticed. To hide the iTunes in the Cloud purchases, navigate to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and disable "Show All: Music”
There may be a few orphaned songs on your iPhone that were partially downloaded or corrupted in some way. If that is the case, you can erase all of the music from your phone. Follow the instructions below and select the Music app under Usage:

So I keep trying to sync music to my iPhone from iTunes, and whenever I select the album the sync goes by really fast and nothing goes onto my phone. Then when I click "On this iPhone" it shows the songs, but they're grey, and I can't click on them. Help?
Ok, sorry. And yes, I just restored my iPhone as new and tried to put all the songs on there before I even restored with my previous backup, but it still does the same thing... even when I just checked the option to sync only "selected music or videos". How's that possible?
P.S. After I tried syncing with checked songs only, nothing showed up under Music on my phone and this message popped up in iTunes: "The iPhone "..." could not be synced because the sync session failed to finish." If you could, please tell me what that means, thanks. -

I can't get some song on my iphone they work off of the computer but they wont show up on my phone they are in the "on my iphone" section but they gray and have a gray dotted circle next to them i have tried every thing I just want them on my phone HELP!!!
You have posted to the iTunes Match forum, which your question does not seem to be related to. Is your question concerning iTunes Match or syncing with iTunes via USB?

I bought a second hand G4 iBook with iLife 09 on it. I have copied iLife to my new Macbook Pro. The applications would not open, so I did a software update and update all three applications, but they will still not open. Can anyone help?
The seller should have given you the original disk so that you can reinstall as needed. But it likely was a single-user license (which really means single computer) so you can only have a copy on one computer at a time. If the seller didn't give you the disk he is probably still using the software on his new Mac. Your best option to get any of the iWork apps to use in OS X 10.6.6 or later is through the Mac App Store. You can then install them on any Mac you have that has access to the Mac App Store using your Apple ID.

Downloaded iBooks on my Macbook Pro but when I tried to sync it on my iPhone, this appeared: "Are you sure you want to sync books? All existing songs, movies and TV shows on the iPhone “My iPhone” will be removed". Love the iBooks as well as music. I really don't want to loose my music. HELP!!!
From the message you are receiving, it sounds like you either, 1) haven't synced your iPhone with that computer before, 2) are using two different iTunes accounts, or 3) both. If you have purchased music or movies through your iPhone with a certain iTunes account and purchased books through iBooks on your MacBook through a different iTunes account then there is no having both on the phone.
Apple doesn't allow content from two different accounts on a device at the same time. Also if two "libraries" have been created, one on the iPhone and one on the Macbook then syncing will erase data that is not associated with that particular library.
If you are using the same iTunes account for both, then you should be able to redownload any purchased items (music, books, etc.) from iCloud, assuming you have set that up.

Yes, to restore the iPod and reload the songs with whatever program you use to put songs on the iPod.
How do you manage to use iPod Agent to transfer songs to the iPod since this is what it says in the iPod Agent FAQ?
"iPod Agent is not a music manager. It does not provide the ability to organize your music and transfer it to your iPod. Apple's own iTunes does a great job of this and thus we don't see a reason to try to duplicate it's functionality. iPod Agent is meant to work hand-in-hand with iTunes."
If you don't use iTunes, what "library" do you use? -
My computer failed and the main drive had to be formatted but all my music was on a separate internal hard drive. So I downloaded the latest iTunes , problem is it has found all my songs but seems to not recognize half of the album data, half of the artists, all of the dates and all ratings data.
I had a large part of it backed up on DVD's but it does not want to recognise them either?

I created a website with iWeb but use GoDady for hosting it rather than MobileMe. The images on my Gallery page do not show at all on the external domain but they DO show when seen on MobileMe. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Many thanks!Just create a new page (or use the existing photo page) on your external site and use html to add an iframe sized to the page and link it to the mobilme gallery page. Works for me just fine when showing my gallery from a yahoo site.
