HT201365 I just downloaded IOS 7. In my old software if I wanted to get to spotlight to find something I just scrolled from left to right from my home screen. That doesn't work now...so how the heck to I get to spotlight with this new system???
I just upgraded to IOS 7. Prior to that upgrade if I wanted to get to spotlight search I just scrolled left to right from my home page and got it. Now...that doesn't work. How do I get to spotlight/search with IOS 7? Sheesh...why change such an easy basic thing anyway??? Can someone let me know please.
Now, you get to Spotlight by swiping down from the home screen, but do not start the swipe at the top of the screen. Start it in the middle somewhere.

Before I upgraded my iPad mini, you could turn off apps to save battery power by double clicking the control button and then holding your finger on the app button until the minus sign appeared. That doesn't work anymore. How do you turn off the apps with ios7
Now you swipe downward, the app will appear and you delete, keep scolling to the right as in the past. With the new operating system you also swipe downward to get the search bar to find an app

I downloaded a facebook update that doesn't work on my iPhone OS. Can I get the previous version of facebook back? I have a 3G phone that doesn't upgrade to OS 4.3 which the newest facebook update needs to run. Now I can't use facebook on my iPhone at all. Is there a place to downgrade or to download the older version of the app?

great, but my MBA did not come with an installion disc, only a tiny jump drive that is not recognized by windows; and I can't get the contents of that burned to a DVD either. So how the heck do I get the drivers into Windows 7? My MBA has bootcamp 3.0.4.

how the heck do i get more ring tones on my phone i purchase them and they go into my music but not ring tones any one no how i can put more on my ringtones plz n ty
Make sure your own music files are saved in the proper folder (Digital sounds) whether in your memory card or the phone memory, the location should still be:
Sound Clips > Digital Sounds.
If your songs/mp3s are saved anywhere else, it will not show up as a selectable ringing tone.
You can move your songs through File Manager on your phone if they are in the wrong location (Options > Move to folder).

No. The warranty does not cover damage.
You can only get a replacement if you can talk Apple into selling you and out of warranty replacement.

My touch screen fell victim to the same issue many people have with this phone - the touch screen has become only effective for very limited items - mostly just Contacts. I've tried bluetooth and plugging in the phone, shutting it down and repowering a million times. Nothing will let me access any memory that wasn't already stored on the SD card. Help!

Have altered the screen resolution,(don't ask why). and am now getting a no signal message on the LG HDMI tv I use a monitor. Have tried going through an old CRT monitor, but no luck. it all worked perfectly before I meddled. Cannot see a screen to reset to a resolution that works. Am new to Macs, and not exactly overburdened with tech know how. Help please.
thanks for your reply Stefan. have reset the pram, but no luck. still getting unsupported signal message. also tried connecting to the tv via an HDMI cable, then get the tv to detect the display. managed to get a picture of a screen saver ( purple galaxy) but this was competely static, could not get any further response, would really appreciate anything further you could add.

How the heck do I get my "My Book" USB hard drive discovered on my network?
Most everything on the Mac has been EASY but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get my usb drive to be seen my my imac let alone any other device on my network. I really need to do a backup via Time Machine but the imac doesn't see the hard drive.
What am I doing wrong? I have it connected to the only USB port on the Airport Extreme. Windows PC doesn't see it either and the drive IS powered on.

I work on Bay listing items, I have to go back and forth on sites. The new firefox dosn`t allow this. It has back arrows, but pop up asking request are very annoying, and take much more time, The older version would allow me to drop down to the previous pages..I want my old version back. This new version has a whole lotta extra unneeded crap that just takes L O N G E R to load.. It sucks..How can I restore the older version

How the heck do i get a firmware upgrade from my computer to the router?
I went to this site here to try and make my router work. It is a WRT54GS wireless router, and I saw where i could download some firmware upgrade, so I clicked on it and saved it to my desktop. It is a .bin file. Now how do I get that file to the router?????
The router was working until today and now it isn't sending out a wireless signal. However, it is still connecting my computer to the internet through its wire (modem to router, router to computer with cable). But when I open the Easylink software, it says that the internet connection is not working, even though the little green light is on for "wireless" on the front of the router.
But anyway, how do I get this downloaded file onto the router??? There isn't any usb ports on the router to connect to it. There isn't anything in the Easylink software that gives me that option, or if there is they hid it pretty good. They really should explain how to do this, or do they expect everyone to have a degree in networking or computers or something?
