My iphone 3GS keeps freezing and showing the apple logo during phone calls.  Can anybody help plese ? Bja

Hiya thankyou for the answer.
Trying to set it up as a new device but can't find the backup to save it.
I have no "mediasync" folder in my library/application support. Did these folders get moved around with Lion?
Thankyou again,

  • My Ipod keeps restarting and showing the Apple Logo over and over....

PLEASE HELP ME!!!! My Ipod keeps restarting, or turning off, I'm not sure which, but when it does that then it shows the Apple Logo, it will go to the main screen for maybe 1 second, but then it does this cycle over again. It has been doing this for a while now. It is also unresponsive, I and tried the R things but they didn't work either. I have tried plugging it up and it hasnt helped, I have no idea what to do. Oh and I havn't dropped it or anything, I have taken very good care of it. The only thing I can think of that ould be wrong with it is that my Dad had it plugged into his car radio, he says it started doing this action while it was plugged up to that, but I have no proof of that. He also plugged it into his computer, which has none of the Itunes software on it, to try to download my songs onto his computer, he says all the songs copied to his computer just fine. I plugged the Ipod into my Ihome and it froze up, when it unfroze I saw that I had all of my songs, but then it started to Turn off and show the Apple Logo. If you have any suggestions please contact me!!!!

nach 3 Wochen funktioniert es wieder-I fixed it, after 3 weeks
sorry, but I am not able to tell you what the problem was
I did not change anything with Vista but it works now. Though I think the failure occured because of one of the Apple products.
Schritt für Schritt / step by step
    1. iPod auswerfen / diconnect your iPod
    2. holen Sie sich alle wichtigen Windowsupdates/
    update your windows
download iTunes again, but don't install it.
    deinstall all Apple-software
(I use only the software wich comes together with iTunes. I don't use safari. You might deinstall it as well, if you use it on a PC)
    Connect your iPod.
Without iTunes the struggle between windows and iTunes was over.
As long as iTunes was installed and a iPod was connected I got a notice of a failure from iTunes and windows. both of them disconnected the iPod. Now windows kept the iPod an I was able to format it, then I disconnected it.
I drove down the computer and turned it on again after a few hours. (Is it necessary to wait a few hours? I don't know. I mention it only)
    7. Installieren Sie iTunes / install iTunes
    8. starten Sie iTunes / start iTunes
    9. verbinden Sie den iPod mit dem Computer / connect your iPod with your PC
In my case there were no further messages of a failure. I got music, movies and audiobooks on my daughters iPod.
Interessieren würde mich schon, warum ein System plötzlich spinnt, obwohl ich "außer" updates nichts verändert hatte.
    Why happened it???

  • My iphone 4s got wet and shows the apple logo when charging but nothing else?

When i hold the home button in and its on charge the apple logo will appear for 5 seconds then go but nothing else, with out being connected for charge nothing happens.

It's water damaged. It is not in warranty. The warranty was voided when it got wet.
The replacement phone will inherit the balance of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is longer.

  • I dont know how to get my iphone 3g to work. it will turn on and show the apple logo then it goes black. itunes will not recognize it and it wont reset

I've tried charging it for days. it doesnt do anything. I'll hold the home and power button for 10 seconds and it just shows the apple logo and then goes black. and when i plug it into my computer it wont recognize it.

Does it charge when you connect it to the adapter? If yes, make sure it is charged for about 10min, then connect in recovery mode, shown here: iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore
If still not recognized, try the troubleshooting here: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

  • Will only show the apple logo thats it I can do noithing else

my ipod only shows the apple logo and willl not do anything else how do i fix it?

    Try to Reset your device.
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears (ignore the Slide to Power Off that shows up first).

  • Iphone 3GS keeps crashing and wont hang up after out & incoming calls after repairs

I have had my iphone 3GS back to vodafone after I could not make calls, kept saying call failed!. I did all the troubleshooting tips, was okay for a short time, then shortly started doing same thing.I took it back to the store and on that occasion the assistant took the phone out of the protective cover i always had it in  to replace the simcard in case it was this that was causing the problem ,then he dropped it onto the shops wooden floor and it bounced, he picked it up & went bright red & kept apologising , I then said if I have any more problems with it then I will come back & see him & he said yes. Shortly after I noticed the sim cover on top of phone was missing but i could see the simcard inside, so I returned to the store & informed them of this, i was advised by the earlier assistant 'Craig' that he thought that the sim tray was underneath the simcard which he then removed the simcard, then advised me he didn't want to go poking about in it in case it was inside and he would send the phone to be repaired & gave me a replacement phone until mine was back. I waited approx 2 weeks before receiving a call from Vodafone saying they would repair it if I payed over £100! as it was not covered under my insurance,  I informed them the assistant dropped the phone in store and then i noticed the problem & was then told they would investigate this and call back, 10 minutes later they called back to say it would be a free repair. Since the repair I have had nothing but trouble with the phone crashing when I access apps , sticking on the hangup screen with in & out going calls for approx 10 minutes or more, when I turn phone on the Apple logo stays on the screen for long periods off time. When I access my music the track will change part way through to another track & also sometimes refusing to charge. I am fed up with going back & forth to the store which is quite a distance from my home & the phone has more problems since it was ''dropped'' & then ''repaired'' & I am at a loss of what to do. I feel I have been treated unfairly and gone along with all Vodafone asked of me. Please could someone from Apple help me!!!

The steps you already took were the correct ones - reset, restore from backup, restore as new phone. You could always try them again, but a Restore with set up as new is the 'ulitmate' troubleshooter - if that doesn't correct the issue, it's usually time for a replacement phone. Unfortunately, you've learned a hard lesson there, although I don't see how Apple screwed you - it's no secret that the iPhone warranty is valid only in the country of original purchase (as a little research on your part would have shown).
See how much money you saved with your eBay purchase? Next time buy the phone from Apple or an authorized UK carrier.

  • My ipad3 keeps on restarting, showing the apple logo then restarts again. please help m

It keeps on restarting everytime it is charge and then when unplug to power. just off.. seems like the battery is drained but coudn't charge it properly since it keeps on restarting..

This will probably not help, but try it first.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that fails, you probably need to restore your iPad and you may will probably need recovery mode. Read this all the way through before you try anything. Read the part at the end about using recovery mode.

  • My iPhone 4s will boot up and show the apple logo, but will then go to the loading circle and freeze.

I have tried multiple hard resets. What do I do?

Restoring via recovery mode (or DFU) is your only way out...
    1. Make sure your iPhone is connected and turned off
    2. when connecting your phone hold the honme button until you see the iTunes icon with a usb on it
iTunes may (or may not) show up and click the restore button
Your iPhone will hopefully fixed then

  • HT4061 iTunes will not open when my iPhone 4S is attached to my Mac Book Pro. iTunes will start up but as soon as my iPhone appears in the list of devices the program then quits and displays the message 'iTune Quit Unexpectedly'? Can anybody help?

    The Problem/s
    1. I am unable to sync my iPhone 4S with my Mac Book Pro, either by cable, wifi or bluetooth
    2. iTunes will initiall open and briefly identifies the iPhone in the Device section in iTunes.
    3. When iTunes starts to read the iPhone (displaying the spinning wheel), it immediately then quits and
    4. Opens a 'dialogue box' which displays the message "iTunes Quit Unexpectedly"
5 The dialoge box offers the following button options to:-
    'Show Details'
The 'Show Details' button will open and display a list of the 'Problem Details and System Configeration'. To the average user the information is useless, as one doesn't know what to look for to solve the problem. This is a long and detailed report (too long to include in this message), which includes information such as:-
    Crashed Thread:  20
    Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
    Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x00000000000006f0
    'OK'
The 'Ok' button simply quits and closes the dialogue box
    'Reopen'
The 'Reopen' button will again reopen iTunes, briefly showing that it is trying to read the iPhone in the Devices section, but then returns again to display the same dialogue box.
    Other Information
    1. iTunes will still start normally once the USB cable is removed from the Mac book Pro, but crashes again once the USB cable is reattached to the computer
Any advice or help offered would be greatly appreciated.
    Sincerely
    Rob

  • My mac keeps freezing and showing the color wheel how can that be fixed

my mac is soooo slow.  It is very frustrating.  Has been noticeable worse since downloading Lion.  Any suggestions

Your machine is 4 years old, it's too dated to run the fat cow Lion.
Revert to Snow Leopard as it's faster and better for that model.

  • HT4061 I was software updating of my iphone when the updating complete and start installing the wi fi connection suddenly disconnected and it couldn't be completed. Now my phone doesnot display anything its like empty. it only shows  the apple logo. help

    Hi all,
i was upgrading my iphone to ios6.1.2; the upgrading had been completed and starting to install but suddenly the wi fi connection lost and the installation couldn't be completed. Now my phone is dead....it only shows the apple logo....can't do anything..help me out..

Press the button at the top right and the home button together for 30 seconds, when you see the apple logo, let  them go.
if you see a picture of the itunes symbol and a whitye usb chord then connect the device to a computer and perform a restore.

  • My iPod keeps showing the apple logo + a blank screen and the lock screen keeps freezing when trying to unlock it.

Last night I turned my iPod touch 4g off randomly and then when I went to turn it back on and went to unlock the screen it froze up right there and will not unlock to the home screen to where all my apps and all that are. Ever since that happened the iPod keeps showing the apple logo repeatedly, as well as a screen being completely blank when still turned on. Also when i plug in the iPod to the computer it recognizes it for a second but the iPod does nothing and shuts off and repeats in showing the apple logo and blank black screen. I can get it to the home screen where the slide to lock button is but every time i even attempt to slide it, it freezes up and doesn't do it.
I also having been trying to restore it by plugging in the cord and pressing the home button to get the screen with the usb cord to pop up but no matter what i do, it will not let me turn the iPod off period because every time i keep trying to do that it just shows the apple logo and all of what i said up above again. I have also seen it get a white screen to show a few times , which i assume means the white screen of death. I have never seen that screen before this happened.
I know this is not making any sense whatsoever but this is very hard to put into words in explaining. I have searched the internet but i can't find a single problem that sounds like this one in solving to fix it. The iPod is on right now as i'm typing this. I haven't attemtped to push the buttons down again to fix as i would assume maybe to just leave it alone as i sleep through the night in hopes of it maybe working or even dying. I've only had this iPod for 4 months now and i just don't understand why it won't let me turn it off completely or work properly for me to restore it.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My iPhone 3GS keeps rebooting and won't stop.

I recently updated my iPhone 3GS 16GB to the latest iOS 6.0.0 version and I am experiencing some problems. I turned off the device before replacing sim-card. After the repacement of the sim card, I booted the iphone. It showed the apple logo, then to the "Slide to unlock" page. I tried to unlock the thing but the phone was frozen, then it rebooted completely by it self. Again it turned on, showed the apple logo, showed the slide to unlock page, then turned off, then started. This repeated and couldn't stop. I did try the DFU method, Restore iPhone (I didn't install much apps after updating). At some times it reboots right after the apple logo.

Try restoring the iPhone and setting it up as a new device.
If that doesn't take care of it, head over to the iPhone Service Answer Center.
