Full Error is
"Activation Failed
This iPad is not able to complete the activation process. Please press Home and start over. If the issue persists, please visit your nearest Apple Store or Authorized service provider for more information or replacement."
The device has not been jail broken nor has my computer jail broken any devices. The device was working fine on wednesday and I did a restore and wipe, to switch from one user in the family to another. When I went to restore, I received this error. I have been through the restore and update process (says updating firmware, etc.) but at the end of the process I get the same message.
My big concern is this is an iPad 2 I bought new years ago and I'll be upset if the Apple Store folks say, "sorry, hardware issue."

How can I turn off the laptop after restoring it to factory settings?

Hello everyone
I am selling my Portege R830-10Q so I want to restore it to factory settings (out-of-box state) AND THEN TURN IT OFF.
I have successfully brought the laptop to factory settings by using the _TOSHIBA Recovery Wizard_ and choosing *Recovery of Factory Default Software (Recover to out-of-box state)*. However, at the end of the recovery process and after everything is re-installed I was not able to TURN OFF the laptop. I was only given the option of restarting it. After restating it, the Windows set-up process starts.
I don't want to set-up Windows, i.e. language, keyboard, user account, etc. I want to leave the Windows set-up for the person who buys the laptop from me. How can I switch off the laptop after the system recovery without having to set up Windows?
I'd really appreciate your help.

When recovery procedure is finished and you are asked for restart just press power button and switch it off. I think it only thing you can do.
Anyway, why not to start Windows and go through setup option. New owner can change this basic settings anyway. As username put Admin and language and keyboard can be set as default.
For instance, if you have German recovery image set everything to German. New owner can change it anyway.

If your media is in the iTunes library on your computer, just sync your iPod with your computer using iTunes. Everything will be restored.

Apple cannot unlock iPhones themselves. You must contact the cell carrier to whom the iPhone is locked and ask about their requirements for unlocking and if you qualify arrange the unlocking through the carrier. You will need a valid SIM, either from the original carrier or another carrier, to complete the unlock.

Hello, my iPhone 5 was unplugged accidentally while downloading and uprgrading the newest iOS software, causing it to reactivate. When it turned back on eventually it won't unlock unless I enter my Apple ID and password, which now also won't work. What I found was that the Activation Lock is on, cutting off my Apple ID's accessibility to my phone. Anything to help get my phone to turn on again would be more than imaginably appreciated. On top of everything being erased I'm also a college student who doesn't have easy access to a verizon store.

Activation lock through Find My iPhone is enabled by an Apple ID. What needs to be confirmed is what Apple ID was used to enable this and that the password is correct.

I have an issue working with USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAK, which affects transactions VA01, VA02 and VA03.
I have written the logic to validate the combination of Sold-To and Ship-To, against the Partner Table KNVP, under USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAK. And, if a user enters wrong combination of Sold-To and Ship-To, say in transaction VA01, USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAK will be triggered and the validation error message will be displayed. So, once the error is displayed, all the fields available on the screen are getting inactive. The requirement I have is that, after the error message is displayed, both the Sold-To and Ship-To fields should be ready for input again by the user, and the error should be displayed each time user enters wrong combination, but the fields should always be ready for input.
I have tried working with USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION, to no avail.
Could anyone help on this, or give me an idea on how this requirement could be achieved.

You can try it with warning message instead of error message.
Or else have a lok at below link which gives the details of VA01 exits so that u can find out the corresponding exit where you can make the changes.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page under advance and check contact, it will say something like
Put the information on this computer, then do apply

Hi, I recently tried to update to the new 3.2.1 update, but something happened and it restored my iPad back to factory settings, the good thing was that I backed all my apps before I tried to update, but now I can't figure out how to get them back. Do you have all the songs contained in your iPod also in iTunes?
If the songs/content of your iPod all show up in iTunes under Library and the various subcategories (music, videos, ...) when you launch it, then they are "backed up" already. Then you can just restore your iPod and re-sync.
If the only existing copy of the files is on your iPod, then you need to move them from the iPod to another disk drive. I'm not sure how to do that, except for iTunes store purchases, you need to use some other procedure/program outside of iTunes.

But now I want to be able to "mount" to my old Time Machine backup "stream". I tried the control-click on Time Machine in the dock to connect to a previous backup, but when I enter Time Machine I can't find any history. I should have like 2 years worth of backups.
Any hints on how to "get back on" an old time machine sequence after a restore?

TM keeps the backups for each Mac separate, and normally only shows the ones for the Mac it's running on, even if there are other Macs' backups on the same disk/partition.
Also, sometimes TM will start a new "sequence" of backups, as if they were from a different Mac.
To see these "other" backups, you need the (badly named) +Browse Other Time Machine Disks+ option. It's available by holding down the Option key while selecting the TM icon in your Menubar, or by control-clicking (right-clicking) the TM icon in your Dock.
You'll see a selection screen showing all the disks/partitions that have TM backups on them. Select the one you want, and you'll be taken to the normal TM "Star Wars" interface, where you should see all the backups on that disk/partition.

How to stop icloud sync/log in after restore from back up

I recently lost my contacts and when i restored from back up they reappeared, however they synced with my icloud automatically, erasing my wanted contacts with old ones. So when i restored from back up and then set-up my phone, there's just an infinite loop occuring as icloud continously deletes the contacts from the back up with the contcats stored in icloud
How do i stop this from happening?
