Try:

Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Brightness and volume keys not working after switch to Yosemite
Once Yosemite was installed, the brightness (F1, F2) and volume (F10, F11, F12) keys on my macbook pro stopped working. I have already checked the System Pref>Keyboard and unchecked the "standard function" box, done an SMC and PRAM reset, to no avail. My sound in and out are both set to built-in. Any suggestions?

Power button and volume rocker not working
I have bought new Microsoft Lumia 535 yesterday night. There was an update available when I brought it Home. I left it alone for half an hour for update to complete. When I returned it was blank, even if I try to switch it on it did not respond. I took the privilege of plunging it to charger and resetting it and still the result is same. By the way the volume rocker is also not responding. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

Drag and drop feature not working after updating to iPhoto 6
I just purchased the new iMac with the dual core processor. I transfered files from my old iMac using firewire as prompted. But in iPhoto 6 I can't drag photos which prevents me from creating photo albums, books, etc.
I have read through the postings about this issue which say the problem is because of the helvetica font. However, I do have Helvetica in my system and have made sure Helvetica is used on all photos.
I don't know what to try next. Any other suggestions?biggsbdavis:
Try disabling and then re-enabling the Helvetica font. Sometimes that's all it takes.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance. -
Adobe reader and exchange email not working after update
I updated to Safari 5.1.1 and Security Update 2011-006 via Software Updates today.
This rendered my .PDF plugin completely useless so I uninstalled that and tried the built in version, which works for all form input but will not allow me to submit the form!
Also my exchange email quite working.
I have deadlines I NEED to get done using in browser .PDF support w/ the ability to submit.

I came across this issue today. Email appears to be sent but nothing shows up in the sent items or the recipient mailbox. I powered off and on the iphone and tried to send again and this time got a message sending error and it kept retrying. I went into the advanced settings of the exchange email account and turned S/MIME on and the email got sent. I then turned S/MIME off again and emails continued to be sent normally. -
All button and touch pad not working except power button
I face the problems that all button and touch pad not working after power on or wake up from sleep state except power button. And i have make the system sleep and wake again so that the mac book air can working as normal( mouse can move and button got response).
Sometimes electrical components needs to have all power sources removed and reintroduced to work properly. Try performing a hard reset first, if it doesn't work then we'll move to the next step.
To Perform A Hard Reset
Shut down the computer by going to the Start menu and selecting shut down. (If you have no display, hold the power button down for 5 seconds); (if the computer doesn't power on, move to the next step)
Disconnect the AC Adapter from the notebook.
Remove the battery from the bottom of the notebook. There will be a switch/button to eject the battery.
Wait at least 1 minute with all power sources disconnected.
Re-insert the battery and reconnect the AC Adapter and then attempt to power on the notebook. -

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

For no apparent reason, the on/off button and volume buttons stopped working. iPod touch 4th gen with 4.3.3 installed.
You can try a couple of things.
First a hard reboot: hold the sleep/wake and home button down until the unit shuts off and boots back up to the Apple screen.
Second restore the device py plugging it into iTunes and under the device summary screen click restore. You want to restore from backup to make sure all your info is synced back to the iPod at the end. Depending on how much stuff is on there this can take a while.
Thrid, take it to the Apple Store and have a Genius look at it. Depending you how bussy your local Apple store is you probably want to make a reservation first. -

iPhone 3GS.. The sleep/wake button and volume buttons aren't working.. Can't shut my phone off, can't put it in sleep mode, can't higher or lower volume or can't put phone on vibrate. Does anyone know how to fix this? It just stop working out of the blue.. I tried to reset my phone to network setting but that doesn't do anything for my problem and I am not able to restart phone by hold sleep/wake button and home button.. My 32GB 4G itouch's lock button AND volume button won't work.
I got my 4G 32GB on Christmas and about two weeks later the lock button and volume button just stopped working. My hands weren't even wet. How do I fix it and how can I restart it without the lock button?
You may need to make a trip to an Apple Store or other authorized place to have it repaired, assuming it's a hardware issue. If it's a software issue, you can try going to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will force the iPod to reboot and restore it to factory settings, but you will be able to get your data back from a backup. If it is a hardware issue, then it's time for a trip to the store.

The device is locked to the carrier it was purchased through unless you specifically purchased it as unlocked directly from Apple.
Only the carrier to whom it is locked can authorize it's unlocking. To do so, the user much contact them to start the unlock process.
