My iPhone is frozen. It was working find about a hour ago and then for no reason the screen went to the apple logo. I have tried to reset it and that doesnt work. When I press the power/lock button and the center key it turns off but then it comes right back to the apple logo screen and wont go any further. First without using the backup, in case it contains corrupt data.

I tried updating my iPod touch to the newest update. But my iPod was unable to complete the update. Now my iPod doesn't turn on completely. The apple logo appears but then the screen goes blank. I've tried charging it, letting it discharge, I've tried things I found on the internet but nothing seems to be working. What can I do?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

I have a iphone3GS. It could not be boot up. When i press the sleep/wake button, the apple logo appear and then disappear. The password login screen didnt' come on. When i tried to connect my phone to the itune on my laptop, there isnt this button that i can sync my phone with the laptop.
Sounds like your iPhones software may be corrupt. Try placing the iPhone into recovery mode. To do this, follow the steps in this article:

I have an iphone 4 . It's had a new front and back screen fitted after a bit of a bang . Now when turned on the apple logo appears on the screen and then goes off. Then appears again etc etc etc .
It won't go any further . Any ideas as to what else may be an issue or has anyone else had the same problem and what was the outcome . If I back up to iTunes will I be able to back up my information without any activity showing on the screen !! I'm lost without all my information . Take it to whoever replaced the screen and see if they can help you.
iPhones are not user servicable and Apple does not sell iPhone parts at all. I'd be surprised if you were actually able to back it up at this point. It sounds like it's completely borked. -
Hello, i have a question on my iphone 4s. I went to a party a few days ago and it had gotten stolen. The next day my friend said that he had found it and it was jaibroken? The phone was on 1 % when i had recieved it. It then died and i plugged it in to the charger. When i plugged it in the apple logo appeared as if it was starting but, it wasnt. The apple logo appeared for about ten seconds and then the screen went black. After that, the connect to itunes screen popped up and will not go away. So now when i take it off of the charger the screen just stays black and wont turn on? I tried connecting it to itunes and restoring it. But it wont even show my phone any more on the side of itunes. I tried restoring it and an error had occured (2001). I have looked up on youtube how to fix this problem and non of them have helped or worked. Its my only phone and i cant even text my girlfriend which bothers me terribly!! Please help me ASAP!!

my phone was showing the apple pic when i eraseed all content and settings so i did Pressed both home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appeared, then released the sleep/wake button and continued pressing the home button alone until iTunes detected the phone in Recovery Mode but an error is coming (1015) plz help me!!!!

Having resent my iPad using the Settings route, the Apple logo appeared onscreen and a line below it filled from left to right. When full, the device did nothing. I was able to switch it off and back on, only to see the same Apple logo and filled line. Even pressing the ON botton for a few seconds did nothing. The device is now inert, and I cannot access it. Try this first.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that does not help, you may have to restore your iPad.
iTunes: Backing up, updating and restoring iOS software.
If that doesn't work - You will have to use recovery mode

Macbook Pro BIOS requires at least 1 minute before the Apple logo appears and Chime sounds.
When I cold-boot my MacBook Pro, it takes a least 1 minute before I get the chime and Apple logo.
Some background on the problem:
After purchase I almost immediately installed Windows 7 on BootCamp and had no problems.
Around 8 months ago I bought a SSD drive and CD-bay kit, put the original HD into the CD bay and the SSD in place of the original HD, installed OSX on the SSD and formatted the original OSX partition, this broke the Windows install.
I tried in vain for around 2 months to repair the Windows partition without having to reinstall it to no avail, so I swapped the positions of the drives.
Since then the Windows & OSX partitions work fine, however from a cold boot it takes upwards of 1 minute before the Apple logo appears and Chime sounds, after that it behaves as expected (maybe 20-30 seconds and I'm fully booted).
Performing a soft restart behaves as expected too (Chime/Logo appear almost immediately and boot time is lightening fast!).
When I close the lid, it exhibits a similar problem in that it takes about 1 minute before it has gone to sleep and I can't do anything to wake it until that time has past.
It's not the end of the world, but it is slightly annoying, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
My guess is some kind of EFI/BIOS problem, but I can't find any other examples of this problem and have no idea how I might fix.When in OS X go into System Preferences and Select Startup Disk. Then select the OS X entry, even though you are in OS X, and reboot.
Some times the hardware gets confused as to which OS to boot and figuring it out can take some time. Once you select the OS X partition as the OS to boot to it should startup faster.
If not then you have some other problem that I am not familiar with.
You might also want to do a SMC reset, Google for the instructions found on the Apple KB site. -
when i clicked on erase all content and setting in my iphone3, it first shut down and next the apple logo appears and then nothing happens, its been 12hrs since like that. i tried force restart by clicking the home and sleep/wake button, and still same issue.
I believe with the 3G and the older iOS, erase all content and settings acts differently than the newer iOS. You can use this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 to place the phone in recovery mode and restore it.

I have got a 13 inch MacBook Pro and it got stuck in a loop so I switched it off by holding the power button down and now when I switch it on the apple logo appears then I get a blank slot at the bottom of the screen then the circle appears and rotates and then it switches off again, I have tried starting it again with the system disc that came with it when it was new but it makes no difference. Is there a sequence that I can use to force it to start.
