Did you change the ID you are using for iCoud?  If so, did you delete the account, then sign back in with your new ID on your device?

  • I keep having request for ITunes to log in, that is not my account name. I have never used that account. It pops up all the time, and it stops everything that I am working on. How can I get rid of that prompt?

I am having trouble with an ITunes I'd request to log in that is not my ITunes ID. E request pops up all the time. It stops the app or net site every time. Like I said it is not my ID. How can I stop or delete this ID?

Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID. What ID is in the settings. Tap on that ID to change it. Sign Out. Sign in with your own ID. After you sign out with the incorrect ID, restart the iPad before you sign into your correct account.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go to Settings>Store and sign in.

If you are having an immediate problem with ads popping up see The Safe Mac » Adware Removal Guide and AdwareMedic. If you require anti-virus protection Thomas Reed recommends using ClamXAV. (Thank you to Thomas Reed for this recommendation.)
Open Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu. Click on Extensions icon in the toolbar. Disable all Extensions. If this stops your problem, then re-enable them one by one until the problem returns. Now remove that extension as it is causing the problem.

Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.
Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
    Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
    Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. In these circumstances, after force quitting Safari, turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then relaunch Safari normally. It will try to reload the malicious webpage, but without a connection, it won't be able to. Navigate away from that page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com, and trying to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet, and the page you entered will appear rather than the malicious one.

  • I have a Time Capsule on which I back up 2 MacBooks and on my wife's machine she keeps having Airport Utility popping up all the time with a yellow button flashing on the left and a Red button on the right side with a "1" in the middle of it.

I have a Time Capsule on which I back up 2 MacBooks and on my wife's machine she keeps having Airport Utility popping up all the time with a yellow button flashing on the left and a Red button on the right side with a "1" in the middle of it. Can any one tell me what is wrong. I read where when the yellow light was flashing there was a problem, but I am a novice at this and have no idea where to turn. It seems to be backing up on a regular basis.

    On the Mac......
Open up Macintosh HD > Applicatons > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the small window that appears
Click the Network tab at the top of the next window
Change the setting for Router Mode from the current DHCP and NAT to read Off (Bridge Mode), then click Update at the lower right of the window, and wait a full minute for the Time Capsule to restart to a green light.
    Then.....very important
Power off the Time Capsule and your Arris modem/router for a few minutes
Start up the Arris first, and let it run a few minutes by itself
Start up the Time Capsule next the same way
Your network will now be correct, and your printing capabilities will improve.
If Time Machine backups do not occur now, post back and we will tackle that next.

My word gives a message of "The disk is full trying to write to Macintosh HD. Free some space on this drive, or save the document on another disk."
what do I do to stop the message from popping up all the time? I have only had my mac for 7 months and haven't saved a ton of stuff.

    Kathryn,
Is MS Word the only app that is causing this issue, if so then it's probably a problem with Word. If I'm correct about it only occuring with Word then please re-post to:

When you do please let them know the version of Office installed on your computer, it will be either Office 2004, 2008 or 2011!

From user Joe Bailey comes this equally useful advice:
    The facts are:
    1. There is no anti-malware software that can detect 100% of the malware out there.
    2. There is no anti-malware that can detect everything targeting the Mac.
    3. The very best way to prevent the most attacks is for you as the user to be aware that
the most successful malware attacks rely on very sophisticated social engineering
techniques preying on human avarice, ****, and fear.
    4. Internet popups saying the FBI, NSA, Microsoft, your ISP has detected malware on
your computer is intended to entice you to install their malware thinking it is a
        protection against malware.
    5. Some of the anti-malware products on the market are worse than the malware
from which they purport to protect you.
    6. Be cautious where you go on the internet.
    7. Only download anything from sites you know are safe.
    8. Avoid links you receive in email, always be suspicious even if you get something
you think is from a friend, but you were not expecting.
    9. If there is any question in your mind, then assume it is malware.

    Hello.
I have the same problem, and the error message is exactly what you have written.
    My model is:  A300 - 1MC.
I also have a problem with the Web Cam which I think is linked, it hasn't been loading and turning on.  we have tried the repair function in the drivers and it will then work, but once I move the lid down the camera fails again, at the same time that the error message concerning the USB appears.
Any help would be much appreciated.

You don't tell us what year model MBP you have. Also, there is no such thing as iOS 10.9.5, but there is Mac OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks. In addition to that, tell what you mean exactly by "... locking up all the time..." and What you Did exactly when you "... undid it once before..."

    Marc,
Here's my story.  Received iphone 5.... went to verizon and had them turn it on to my account. On to apple store to buy apple care. Put on Zagg sheild cover in the mall. Returned home. Played with phone.. no service. Tried to call myself via house phone.. no luck. No mail box set up. Can't set it up if I cant use the phone. Bummed. Called Verizon. He (David) suggested I return the phone to Apple store. Made an appt at the genius bar for the next day. In the store I had two bars, gal next to me had 4 bars on Iphone 4s with Sprint, Guy across had ATT with 3 bars. Now I had a new phone. New one was great - now had 4 bars in the apple store. Left... went to ZAGG, reinstall cover sheild then to Verizon and had them set it up with my phone number. Worked great while out and about.
Get home -- no service. Bummed again.... I checked the Verizon map and I was on the cusp of G4/G3.  My phone was reading --  "o" and flipping to no service. David had told me he would call me back later that day, after I made a swap of my phone.  David did call and suggest I get a signal booster. I placed an order for one. It arrived in two days, set it up - easy - and waited for all the lights to turn blue.... WALAA! Called the special number and the phone works great from home.
I get G3 service at home and when I am out LTE service.  Funny  - the LTE service light comes on right when I am exiting my driveway to the road.  But I am glad that I have service from home. David called me again to check on how things worked out.  So far I am good with my phone and service.
Signal booster from Verizon was my fix.  Hope my story helps someone in the same situation.

  • Mac is running very slow rainbow wheel is popping up all the time

mac is running very slow rainbow wheel is popping up all the time

This happened to my iMac a few months ago. Back-up your data then RUN, don't walk to your local Apple repair store, your internal hard drive is failing. They were not able to retrieve any data from the original hard drive; the fix was a new hard drive. I was told the hard drives are made to last 2-5 years. Mine was about 3 years. Good luck!

  • Strange warning message pop up all the time

This warning pop up on my screen all the time. [This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone.]

That indicates there is, most likely, something wrong with your dock connector. Make an appointment at any Apple store & have the genius bar check things out.
