Hi you can take to Apple Store they may Replace with a Refurbished, one but you will need to pay part of cost. Make an Appointment, if you do get Another iphone when you set it up Just use the same Apple, id & password then you will get all your Apps & Data back. Cheers Brian

The iPhone doesn't save contacts to the SIM card so I don't know what good knowing the SIM card number would do you. If you have no back up of the contacts, they are lost.

Unfortunately no. The only way the phone backs up is if you make it back up. You either connect to iTunes and backup and sync, or you set it up for a wifi sync to iCloud. But you have to setup iCloud to start with. You have learned a hard lesson on how to make sure you import pictures on a regular basis like you would the digital camera. When things happen to the phone, this is the media that is lost the most (pictures in camera roll). After taking a number of pictures, and especially ones you consider important, you should connect the phone to the computer and import them, so there is a backup copy on the computer.
Contacts are saved in the backup as well, however they are really designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer, or backed up to iCloud or other cloud service. And, the only way to go back in time on the phone is to restore from a backup, but you also have to remember, you would lose everything on the phone that you had done since that backup, so it is a double edged sword.

If you have been previously using iCloud with your old phone, then when you login to your iCloud account with your new phone all the data from the services you were using will be added to your new phone.

Connect to the computer the last backup is on, right click on its name in iTunes, and choose "Restore from backup". If the latest backup is in iCloud make sure you have a WiFi connection, then go to Settings/General/Reset and tap Erase all content and settings. After erasing you will be prompted to restore the iCloud backup.

How can I sync my contacts and calendars from my iPhone?

I know it seems like it should be a simple thing to do but I just got my iPad today and was trying to get my contacts and calendar that I have on my iPhone over to the iPad. I then realized that none of my contacts and calendars that I have created on my phone are on my computer... So I went to iTunes>Devices>Info and checked to sync my calendars and contacts and also made sure the replaceinfo my my iphone with content on this computer was UNchecked... but nothing has shown up in my iCal or Contacts on the computer... I am unsure of what to do!

I don't mean to sound silly, but after you checked to sync the info, did you do a sync?
you do have the option to sync between devices via iCloud. however you may wish to back up the info if you can because iCloud ate all my contacts.
Another more tedious way is to e-mail your contacts, one at a time, and open the e-mail on your iPad and computer and save it.

Just to give you a bit more detail. I upgraded my iphone 4 to an iphone 5 today. Last night I backed up and synced all my messages, photos and contacts on itunes and icloud. When I connected the new iphone 5 to itunes today, it somehow reverted back to my old phone settings from 2011 :S So now, I have apps, particularly games, that are incomplete. My contacts have numbers that are out of date and I have none of the photos that were taken in the past year. My 2012 messages are gone and old messages from 2011 are there. Now, all my phone data had been regularly stored and synced with itunes and icloud. So why did it revert back to 2011 phone settings and how can I get it to change to the settings that existed last night? Also all my information on icloud, how do I get that onto my new iphone? If I go on www.icloud.com and sign in, all my photos, contacts, mail and messages are there, but I have no idea how to transfer that to my new iphone 5. Any help on all of these issues would be appreciated, thanks.

In Regards to this, You possibly wont be able to get the contacts from the iPhone 4 unless there is a back up file on your computer.
The original phone would be disabled due to alot of attempts of the wrong passcode. If all your contacts are on the cloud at the moment, you would be able to just set the iPhone 4S up with iCloud on it then Turn On "Contacts".
This would be bring all the contacts down from your iCloud onto your 4S.
But you will only be able to merge your contacts with the cloud when your original iPhone either has been enabled or the passcode was entered.
If you have previously already had iCloud on that device and have contacts Turned on, you will be able to just enter the same Apple ID you used for iCLoud on your original phone and use it on your new one.
Your able to check what content your iCloud holds via www.icloud.com
If you are unable to get past the disabled screen, then unfortunately the device will have to be put into recovery mode and then restored via iTunes NOTE: This will delete all data.

You'll have to resync using your own computer. It should restore from your backup.

How can I recover my contacts and photos?

Last night I synced my boyfriends iphone4 to my computer. He had no media so basically he just wanted some music on his phone. Everything went smoothly, music, tones & apps all synced successfully. When I gave him his phone he requested that I update his phone to the newest software (ios6) but when I did that an error occurred and the phone went into "standby" mode and i couldnt even turn it on. I disconnected the phone because i had no idea what i did but then reconnected it because i thought it would come back on.. To make a long story short, when the phone turned back on i got a message saying that I had to restore the phone due to the error. Well, I guess i misunderstood what "restore" meant and it was like i had to start from scratch (apple id & password etc) so basically my question is, why when the phone was done restoring did I lose all his personal info? Contacts, photos, calendar dates etc ALL GONE!! And how can I get them back? Also, he now says that he cant access any of his apps like he used to even though theyre all there. It says his password is incorrect but it's exactly the same as before. what's going on? im lost!!! Can someone please please please help me! Im in big trouble!

How can I retrieve specific bits of data from iCloud?

Some of my notes that I have saved before were deleted and so I want to retrieve them from an iCloud backup that was saved a week ago. Is there any way to retrieve specific bits of data like this from iCloud?

Is there absolutely any way I can get the information back at all, even calling an Apple tech guy could maybe help to solve this problem since my info was stored in iCloud.
