make sure Windows will also have the room for updates, cache, page, hibernation, and growth with 20% free space; and Mac should also have 20% or more after accounting for growth.
Spend the $19 and save the headaches with CampTune but backup both - CampTune should help with that chore also but also TimeMachne and clone OS X.

Minimally you need Snow Leopard or greater:

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6. You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google), or try accessing it via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

Installing Windows 7 on the new 27-inch I-Mac

I have tried to instal windows 7 using the parallels desktop onto my new imac. but every time i get towards the end of the installation, i get a message telling me i need a device driver. i can't find the device driver, so i have no option but to stop the installation. does anyone know what i should do ? where do i get the driver from ? is it a mac driver or a windows driver ? PLEASE HELP !!Ah... I don't see anything 'wrong' with using a VM to try it out and take it for a drive.
Parallels has their own forums. Sun's VM is free and works with 7. (include version of Parallels or assume you have the latest available?)
I know there are some glitches with 7 and the P55 based board, and with i5/i7 (Hardmac shows how they are 2x faster than the old cpus and blow them out of the water).
Was this an upgrade or system builder or full home premium?
But it really helps to say WHAT and other little things like detail. And first time... always a dry run and figure things out for a better attempt next go round.
Oh, and of course it is a Windows driver. -

The Mac doesnt have a disk drive and Apple USB Super Drive connects via USB which the Mac will not read well trying to install windows.

When I try to download (and especially renew) a page with my rss-feed that I read with Yandex service, the browser freezes, and then the whole system freezes. It typically takes about 5-7 minutes to load a very minimalistic page, and I can't use my browser or my system during that time.
This started with the release of Firefox 5. I use it on Ubuntu. I haven't experienced similar problems with any other websites.
I have already contacted the Yandex team about the matter.
I guess it's just a little weird that one of the Yandex services won't work in Firefox, as Firefox comes with a built-in yandex-bar in many cases. And it sure is frustrating.

Re-installing i-tunes software so i can sync my i-phone without losing existing i-tune files
I need to re-install i-tunes as the software has mysteriously disappeared, so can't sync my i-phone 4 any more, however I don't want to lose files already stored in i-tunes on my computer.
Can anyone help please?Well, unfortunately, the external hard drive only stores the music files. The playlists will have been on the old machine, easily recoverable, or on the iPod, possibly recoverable.
As it is, you may just have to rebuild your library, foregoing your playlists, ratings, etc.
To do this, go to edit\prefs\advanced, and make sure the following settings are selected:
DO NOT copy to iTunes folder when adding to library
DO NOT keep iTunes folder organized
Now, go to the external, and drag the entire music folder into iTunes.
Then, go back to edit\prefs\advanced, and change the folder back to the external.

In the future, consider occasionally saving the two library files (.xml, .itl) from My Music\iTunes to the external.

I have usb driver in may macbook pro 15 retina. When I installed windows 7 and try to download windows support into a CD, boot camp always said it couldn't find my usb driver. My mac version is 10.8.3
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Install the Windows support software from the USB drive. Note that Boot Camp Assistant, in OS X 10.8.3, doesn't support the option to burn the Windows support software into a disc.
Instead, you can try a different thing. Start in Windows and download the Windows support software in it > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638 Then, decompress the file and run the Boot Camp drivers installer.
If you can't access to the Internet in Windows, start in OS X and download the Windows support software from the same link. Decompress the file, right-click the folder which will show up after decompressing the file and select "Burn". Finally, start in Windows and install the Boot Camp drivers -
Just switching from CS4 & LR5 on Windows desktops to CS+LR monthly subcription for Mac, with catalogues, files etc residing on external HDD (due to multi-location living & lots of travel). The switch should be straight forward but I would start by uninstalling LR 5. This is because there is no specific CC version of Lightroom and you can’t run the creative cloud version and the perpetual version on the same machine. Your catalog and images will be safe and will not be affected by uninstalling. CS4 will not be affected and will still work independently.
Then launch CC desktop and go to the Apps tab. I would recommend installing in this order:
Photoshop CC 2014
Photoshop CC (if you need this to run old plug-ins)
Lightroom 5
If you install in that order LR will automatically recognize Photoshop for external editing from the LR Library. -

Apple provides their framework for Windows to run on a Mac, a piece of software called a Hybrid MBR that bridges the gap between how Windows reads the drive partition table (MBR) and EFI/GUID partition table that Mac's use.
It doesn't mean Windows can't run on your Mac, a third party solution called rEFIt will also bridge the gap and allow booting of more that just Windows, Linux as well for a triple booting computer.
Your hardware has to meet the other requirements the second and third operating system needs as as being able to install drivers that will work for your hardware, especially the fans or they will run loud and fast by default.

This above is a advanced procedure which requires knowledge how computers and various operating systems, drive formats and so forth work.
I even admit I don't know everything myself, but I experiment on a separate piece of Mac hardware (out of warranty/AppleCare) designed for this purpose so in case something screws up I'm not taking down my only machine and can use the other to get online and find solutions.
There is a very high potential for losing your data if your using advanced/non-Apple methods to install Windows on your only Mac where Apple doesn't support it. Also one shouldn't be doing this on Mac hardware that is under AppleCare or warranty as it might be voided. Proceed at your own risk and education.
