I have my son's ipod on my laptop and when he plugged it in it auto sync and made all the changes to music, games, etc. I recently purchased an ipod for myself and went and purchased some songs. However it downloaded the songs into my son's playlist. How do I set up my own account so when I plug in my ipod it does the same as his plus allow me to download my own music.

I am installing itunes to a laptop and have not sync device to this lap. It is saying that it must first restore device. The problem is I have over 2000 pictures and don't want to lose them. Now my phone is in restore mode and I don't know what to do. I don't want to proceed and loose these very important photos of family. What do I do to get it out of restore mode? My phone will not allow me to do anything to it at this point. I have the itunes downloaded on the laptop now. When I push the button for the phone it just shows Itunes and plug. I can't even call or open phone up.

Using a computer, other than the one you have regularily been Syncing and Backing up to, was the begining of your issue. -

You may be able to redownload your iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
BTW, did you sync to the laptop before? Yu can only sync to one iTunes library. If you sync to to another library the iPod will be eerased and it contents replace with what is in the iTunes library on the computer. -

However, when I create an event on my iPhone, I have to pick which calendar it goes in, and it shows up only in that calendar, not in both. How do I get the calendars to actually sync with each other?

Install the Google Sync plugin for Outlook on your computer, and sync the iPhone calendar to Google. Of course, this means that your computer must always be on. -
Trying to instll iCloud on a new Toshiba laptop so I can sync contacts, calendars, email with my iPhone and iPad. Get error message HRRESULT:OX8007OBC9, says installer encountered errors before iCloud Control Panel 2.0 could be configured. Have the same problem trying to istall iTunes.

If you want, you could also use Hiren's BootCD to make a bootable CD with many options and programs on it (I keep one, just for certain situations) that will allow you to do the same things.

Although I have synced my ipad to only one PC computer I now get the message that it is synced to another computer and only one computer sync is permitted. I have lots of apps on the ipad and do not want to loose everything by starting fresh with the ipad. How can I get the ipad to again accept my computer and sync successfully?

I had a 5th gen 60gb ipod video that died and was switched out for a new one at the apple store. now when i plug it into my powerbook G4(667) it keep coming up with a window stating (can not update , error code -208) I've taken my ipod to apple store and it was working fine on thier machine. but can not get it working on mine. reinstalled itune, ipod up to date. it will not sync up with my photos and will not load some of my mp3 files. tech support hasn't helped much. tried few options with preference but still not working.

I have been loading vinyls onto iTunes using EZ Vinyl Tape converter. I have sync'd OK until recently when problems encountered with EZ. However there are some tunes on laptop to sync. After using the iPod touch as a camera I now cannot sync. Why does my Ipod touch 5th generation 32GB have problems syncing with the latest version of itunes?
lately My ipod touch, 5th generastion 32gb has difficulty whenever i try to sync it with tht latest version of iTunes. When i go to sync it immediately claims that over 10gb has dissipated into this "Other" section. to fix that i have to do a factory reset, however after the reset has finished and while i am trying to re-sync my music on to my device the sync gets stopped toward the end saying "Waiting for changes to be applied" for hours on end. even then it does not sync. So currently i am unable to use the ipod tough for what it was built as in the first place, a music player. currently i am ratherdissapointed and i would like to find some answers to this problem because this problem is extremely irritating and it has kept me from using the ipod for what i mainly use it for in the first place, music. Ever scince the latest version of iTunes, where the icon became red, i have bee having this major problem. I suggest you work to find an answer to this Problem and fix it ASAP so i can get back to enjoying my portable music player.

How can I get 20 different movies onto one dvd and have them play consecutively?
I am having a hard time converting all of the videos I've taken of my kids from my iphone onto a dvd. I would like the videos to play consecutively as if we were watching home movies from our regular video recorder. How can I convert my videos to one dvd?
If the total playing time for all of the videos is less than 120 minutes create a slideshow in iDVD and add the movies to it in the order you want them to play. Select any slide duration time except manual. Do not add any music to the slideshow as it will override the audio in the video files and do not add any transition as it won't be a smooth transition.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
