HT204053 Hi, my husband has downloaded ios7 and now he is receiving my iMessages/facetime calls. Obviously we both use the same apple Id. How do i keep using the same apple id on both devices, but disable my iMessages etc from his phone??

My husband has upgraded ios7. His iphone and mine have the same apple id. he has activated "icloud" which i have never activated before. He is receiving my imessages and facetime calls. How do i disable this yet still continue using our shared apple id on both devices????

Short term solution, do this on both devices
Settings > iCloud > Shut off anything you don't want shared
Long term solution (actual solution)
You need seperate Apple IDs for iCloud. iTunes and iCloud are not the same.
Create a new Apple ID > https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
On one of the devices go Settings > iCloud > Delete Account > Sign in with the new Apple ID
This will seperate your Contacts, Calendars, Messages etc.
You both can continue to use the same Apple ID for iTunes and share apps and music

Forgotten RESTRICTIONS Passcode
- Restore from a backup that was make before you added the Restrictions passcode. If you restore from a backup made with the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode is also restored.

All yo can do is either find a compatible app that works for your 3G iPod (iOS 5.1.1) or purchase a new model iPod.

I used Mpeg Streamclip last night to take the .mov files to DV, but same thing I put into iDVD and made a disk image. Once all done i opened the image and the videos were there, but no audio.
This first dvd had 2 of the videos in it the totaled about 90mins. I will try using the higher format. Also with having MPEG streamclip now, I guess I should go back to the .WMV files and try to converting form them? instead of the .mov files.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I downloaded iOS7 and now my lock screen photo is blurred.

It was fine in iOS 6. I tried using one of the Apple photos for the lock screen and it blurs also.
I'm not having that problem with the home screen.

Apple clearly desinged the lockscreen to blur, whenever anything other than the TIME has to display there.
Took me a long time to realize that, for me, the problem was audio playback. For others, it is notifications, texts, etc.
Whenever you use AUDIO, the iOS displays the "playback control buttons" on the lockscreen, which causes the blurred background [presumably in order to better see the displayed info]. But, as soon as I PAUSE, the screen clears right up.
If your issue is notifications, this should be fixable; because you should be able to NOT DISPLAY notifications on the lockscreen.
I will be checking to see if there is an option to NOT display the "playback control buttons" on the lockscreen - given new control center, those buttons are no longer even necessary, especially when I can access the control center from the lockscreen.
We need to request that apple add option to STOP blur effect on the lockscreen.
You will NOT see this effect on the home screen; because, in theory, the iOS does not "display info" there - only icons.

Downloaded iOS7 and now I can't get my music?

So I "upgraded" the iOS system yesterday and in order to do that it said it need almost 3MB to do so...which most of my stuff is music. So I had to delete it, know that I could always redownload it...or so I thought. I have almost 400 songs that I can NOT download back on to my phone and nothing works...I tried doing it through iTunes on my phone and my computer. I just don't know what to do. This update is a joke considering I can't get to the player without playing a song (dumb) and I don't have songs so it is hard for me to see if something I did,

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
