How do I transfer music from my itunes located on my hp laptop to my ipad

Connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you have the new iTunes on your computer then you can re-enable the left-hand sidebar via View > Show Sidebar (option-command-S on a Mac, control-S I think no a PC) and on the right-hand side select the Music tab and use that to select which of your library to sync to the iPad's Music app

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
First, when you are going to turn off or restart your Mac, you will see a box called "Reopen windows when logging back in" in the shutdown or restart window. Untick this box and see if the App Store opens automatically in the next startup.
If it starts, open System Preferences > Users and Groups > Login Items, and see if the App Store shows up. If so, remove it from this list

OS X Mavericks and HAP Music Transfer | HAP-Z1ES

After a week or so of frustration, I discovered that the HAP Music Transfer program for Mac frequently crashes when used on Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. (It does say compatible with Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7 or 10.8 in the manual.)
I am now successfully transferring my music files to the HAP-Z1ES using Mac OS 10.8 in a Parallels VM window.
When will an updated version of the HAP Music Transfer program be available that is compatible with Mavericks (10.9)??

Hap music transfer

I had to re-install Hap music transfer software. Is there a text file somewhere that shows all the music that had been transferred to the HAPZ-1ES? The new file only shows the newest transfers since re-install. Doe's the software make a backup file out of the old file? Does anyone know where the transfer list reside and when it is cleared does it leave a backup file?John

You may try backing up the files before you reload your Windows. If this doesn't work, then there's no way to avoid the standard procedure of the system.

Migration Assistant- Why didn't my pictures&music transfer?

I don't own an ethernet cable, so I decided that I would use my high-speed internet to transfer my documents, photos, and music from my (3-year)old Macbook to my new one. However, it took exactly 24 hours. Apparently, it took 24 hours to only transfer my documents folder (which only has about 100 text files that don't contain that much)
Besides the fact that it took so long, I found out that the user from my old computer was locked. I dragged the user into MY documents, and I was able to view my old documents. However, NONE of my pictures (I have around 11,000...) or my music (900 songs) were to be found, despite the insane amount of time it took to transfer.
*Why didn't my pictures and music transfer?*
*Is there and easier way to migrate your information that DOESN'T take a full day?*
Also, *how do I unlock the files* without doing the whole copying process again? For some reason the copying to MY documents allowed me to open them, but its going to be a hassle re-copying all my photos etc. once they've been transferred next time.

Get one. Better yet, if both Macs have FireWire ports, get a FireWire cable.
Or, if you have Time Machine backups or a "clone" of the old Mac on an external drive, transfer from it instead.
Then start over, but use +Setup Assistant+ this time. The problem with using the +Migration Assistant+ is that you end up with an extra user account. And sometimes the accounts transferred that way aren't recognized as the same ones, thus the permissions problems.

Hi Demo, thanks for the reply but I've solved it. Heres whet happened in case it can help some one else, when I was sinc'ing with my iPad mini through iTunes it wasn't putting my music on the device, everything else was good. After trying 5-6 times I reset the iPad and set it up as new. Originally I set it up from a phone back up.

Music Transfer ?

I've bought about $150 worth of media for my iPod from iTunes. I also bought a new computer, so to transfer my music I burned the media onto cds. I can play it on my computer, but it says I cannot import the cd because the songs are protected. So how can I transfer my music from one computer to another without rebuying all my media?

You can't transfer from one iPod to another. If your songs are in iTunes connect your new iPod and it will update from there. When you are adding a second iPod for your own use, just connect it to your computer and it will update from your existing library. Depending on the size of your library and the type of iPod you choose you can have it update the whole library, selected playlists or you can manage it manually.

Looking for a free iPod to iTunes music transfer utility, any suggestions

Looking for a FREE utility that will allow me to transfer music from my iPod to my iTunes. I recently purchased a new notebook PC that I recently download a fgresh installation of iTunes. Now I need to transfer my music stored in my iPod to iTunes. I find many free transfer utilities on the internet that allow you to only transfer a couple of songs, not your whole iPod. Any suggested freeware utilities would be appreciated.

If you enable your iPod for disk use, you should be able to do this without utilities (unless iTunes checks for this kind of thing). See, all of your music is stored (with garbled filenames) under <D:/iPod_Control/Music/> (where "D" is your iPod). So if you use iTunes's "Add Folder to Library" on the "iPod_Control/Music" folder, it should import your iPod files.
So do this,
1. Set Windows to show hidden files and folders, if it isn't already. There are plenty of guides for this on Google.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Enable disk use on your iPod, if you haven't already.
4. Go to File > Add Folder to Library....
5. In the Open Folder dialog box, navigate to your iPod.
6. Go into the iPod_Control folder.
7. Select the Music folder. Click OK.
Note that on Windows, the iPod_Control folder (and its contents) are hidden, so you need to set Windows to show hidden files and folders.

I have a 1st generation iPod touch and I want to trade it in and purchase a 5th generation iPod touch. My computer completely died a few days ago, so I do not have access to my iTunes to sync my music to my new iPod touch. Hi, how do I transfer my music from my iTunes library to my new iPad mini? I feel I have tried everything they user guide/online help suggests and it's still not working. I have synced it with my iTunes, tried to manage my music manually, used I cloud, synced it manually and over wifi? Also when I buy music on my iPad it doesn't store on there, it goes straight to my phone and laptop? It says my iPad music has "no music". I have had my iPad for over a week now and everything else on it works fine, getting very frustrated now about the music though, please help.

Have you quit the music app completely and rebooted the iPad? I get that now and the "No Music" message and I know damm well there is music on the iPad. If I quit the music app and reboot it will show up. Not saying it will work, but since nothing else's is working, try it.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the music app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
