There is no problem about using one ID for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match, and another for iCloud and its email and syncing facilities. This way you can all use the same iTunes account but have separate emails and calendars etc.

Currently, one windows 7 pc is upstairs in common area and is used most frequently. Father's (me) windows 7 pc is downstairs and has 200gb music collection on internal hardrive. PCs are networked together. Wife and kids would like to buy and listen to itunes music upstairs. They would be ok sharing a music library and it would not need to be huge. They generally, but not exclusively don't care for my music. I am eclectic and like their music as well as mine and would like access to it to be able to easily put it on my devices for family trips, etc and update playlists.
Ideally, I would like to be able to keep all of the music together on the same hard drive for managament purposes (organizing, replacing a computer, etc). I don't trust them not to screw up my library (too many hours invovled in it already), so I'm assuming that they should have their own libraries. These they would access upstairs and would also sync their devices on the upstairs computer. I think both their libraries could be pointed to the harddrive on the downstairs computer where the music files currently reside. When they played music from the upstairs computer, it would play from the downstairs computer across the network. If they purchase music on the upstairs computer, I would like it to get downloaded on the downstairs computer with the other music files and not be downloaded onto the upstairs computer. I would like to be able to rely on my library and the music files not getting messed up. If friends and babysitters come over, they use the upstairs computer. We've had a disaster before when it was just one computer, but the music was on an external hard drive and my wife launched itunes without turning on the external hard drive first and fried my library.
The best I can come up with is their having their own libraries, on the upstairs computer, that reference all music files on the downstairs computer over the network. Am I on the right track here? How do I make sure their purchases go into and only into the music file downstairs? Is there some other better option of having a separate itunes on the upstairs computer and storing their music separately upstairs? How would I make sure to get copies of their music files from the upstairs computer also into my large music file downstairs, so I can keep one comprehensive collection of music all in one file. This seems like it shouldn't be so very difficult in the 21st century. I ought to be able to keep one comprehensive music file and one comprehensive library, even though my wife and child, who are less computer literate than me would like smaller, more personalized libraries and to purchase music on the convenient upstairs computer and even store their music on the upstairs computer accross a network. I the old days, you could just dupe some of the CDs. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My wife is tired of waiting on me to resolve.

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID.

Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. 2 SSD / 2 OS - Without access to each other

I have a MacBook Pro (Mid 2009) with two SSD, Samsung SSD 256GB 840 PRO and Samsung SSD 250GB 840 EVO. An SSD in place of the original HDD and the other in place of SuperDrive.
I want to install OS X Mavericks on the SSD 840 PRO 256GB and OS X Snow Leopard on SSD 840 EVO 250GB, I know do this
What I need is when i'm on OS X Mavericks cannot access the disk/data where is installed OS X Snow Leopard and the same on OS X Mavericks.
How I do I do it?

I apologize, I didn't explain myself in the best way.
The protection was not because of other people access to my MacBook Pro, I am the only one using the laptop.
Due to my profession i need to have OS X Mavericks (SSD 840 PRO) clean, and only with the required software and files to work. The other disk (SSD 840 EVO) would be for personal use.
If the disks (OS X) have access to each other, will create problems and incompatibility. I've tested and had some problems with the software folder locations.
With FileVault active, don't have a big difference in reading and writing to disk. Uses lots of CPU.
Due to use much CPU I'm not very interested in using FileVault.
The method mentioned by Network 23 seems like a good solution. Beyond that, there is any more similar?

There is also no need to shout, apart from anything else it makes posts difficult to read, and may also mean that people don't reply to your posts.
iOS devices (iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches) don't need authorising/deauthorising, that only applies to your iTunes account on computers. Can I set up sub-accounts under my id and deposit their gift cards into them (like a bank account)? If I can't, it seems that I will have to keep track of each of their purchases until they reach the limit of their gift cards, before they go over. This makes no sense. If I have to create new ids, will they lose access to all the content purchased under my id?

- You can't create subaccounts.
- You can create new account(s). The media on the iPod is still usable. It does create more work when updating apps since yo have to sign into the account that purchased them to update them. If you have apps purchased from more than one account that need update you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased with one account.
- To change accounts for purchasing go to Settings> Store (or Settings.iTunes and App store depending upon the iOS) and sign out and sign in with different account.

So first I'd say that it's not a good idea to start a new apple id if you have a large purchase history. You may not transfer purchases between apple IDs. You should consider some other options listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/HE37 Primarily the option where you or your children have seperate icloud accounts/email accounts that sync their contacts apart from yours. You may use your apple ID for purchases and use a different one for icloud/email/etc.

I will share with you what I have done to manage this with my family. While the solution isn't without flawes, it seems to do the trick. First, you need to have one person who is managing the synching of everyone's devices. In my family, I have three iphones, about to be four, and five ipads. We all synch to the same apple ID to allow one another to take seemless advantage of our Itunes, which is on our Imac. To synch individual music or video interests, we simply select which playlists we want and manually synch that way. A couple of us use imatch and the cloud to make the entire library accessable as well. With respect to the imessage, mail, contacts, etc. we each have a gmail account for our individual emails, contacts etc. So for instance, my forth grade daughter has a gmail account that we choose to synch her contacts, calendar, etc to and then that is also the account where she receives her imessages from on her ipad and itouch. My son, who has an iphone and ipad, does the same thing, but under settings, he goes to imessage and checks his phone number and his email as his preferred way to receive imessages and texts. My wife and I do the same thing. To avoid having everyone see one anothers contracts etc, we only synch contacts from our individual email accounts. Here is the downfall to this: When you update your phone or add a new device, apple always wants to reset everyone's facetime and imessage settings and then low and behold we are all receiving imessages from one another's friends etc. To work around this, I simply take each of their devices and go to their imessage settings and only check the email and phone numbers relative to their devices. I dont' know is this is the best solution, but it seems to work for us.

Get a second Apple ID. Perhaps you should have two different Apple IDs for each iPhone and iPod Touch.
