HT204053 What is a DS vetting client

I was purchasing an app on the app store and I it prompted me to verify my payment information which then stated that my appleIDand payment information was incorrect. I reset my appleiID password.
When I finished changing the password, it asked for me to return to my appleID or return to DS Vetting Client.. I have not found any information on what a DS Vetting Client is. Could anyone explain?

The info in this link may be of help: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312.

One is for the base version of the Mac OS, the other is for the Server version. You can only install the one that matches your system.

• How can I determine what dns server the wifi client use within airport

How can I determine what dns server the wifi client use within airport
I want to use dns servers other then the one that airport extreme is using. For example I got the 172.16.1.1 (the default gateway - airport extreme), but I want to use the office dns servers, that are in a 10.x.x.x range.
Is there a possibility?
Thanks and happy eastern

The Airport Extreme uses the DNS servers assigned by the network that it connects to. Is you Airport Extreme on the 10.x.x.x network? if it is then you are already using the 10.x.x.x DNS servers. Check your Airport Extreme with the Airport Utility and you will see in the Internet tab, the DNS servers used. The devices connecting to the Airport Extreme are assigned a DNS address of the Airport Extremes IP, In your case 172.16.1.1 but all DNS searches and resolution are done with the DNS servers you see in the Airport Extreme.
If you want to use some other DNS then you can override in the Airport Extreme which will be used by all devices connecting too the Airport Extreme, Or you can edit the DNS address in each devices wireless settings.

• Can someone explain what is the Database Instant Client

Download 10.2.0.4 Database Instant Client for Apple Mac OS X on Intel x86
What does the Database Instant Client contain?
What functionality does it have?
Does it include a 'lite' version of the database to run locally? Or is it only a set of tools that can connect to a remote (on another machine) database?

It is only a client for connecting to databases. It is easier to install than the full client.
It does not include a database. Check the following link :-

• What is thin and fat client

Hi,
I would like to know
what is thin and fat client.
what is the difference between thin and fat client.
How to copy config only client. (No data copy)
Appreciate for your reply... I will reward the points.
Thanks
Atul-

Hi Atul,
Thin Clients
A thin client is designed to be especially small so that the bulk of the data processing occurs on the server. Although the term thin client often refers to software, it is increasingly used for the computers, such as network computers and Net PCs, that are designed to serve as the clients for client/server architectures. A thin client is a network computer without a hard disk drive. They act as a simple terminal to the server and require constant communication with the server as well.
Thick Clients
In contrast, a thick client (also called a fat client) is one that will perform the bulk of the processing in client/server applications. With thick clients, there is no need for continuous server communications as it is mainly communicating archival storage information to the server. As in the case of a thin client, the term is often used to refer to software, but again is also used to describe the networked computer itself. If your applications require multimedia components or that are bandwidth intensive, you'll also want to consider going with thick clients. One of the biggest advantages of thick clients rests in the nature of some operating systems and software being unable to run on thin clients. Thick clients can handle these as it has its own resources.
Thick vs. Thin - A Quick Comparison
Thin Clients
- Easy to deploy as they require no extra or specialized software installation
- Needs to validate with the server after data capture
- If the server goes down, data collection is halted as the client needs constant communication with the server
- Cannot be interfaced with other equipment (in plants or factory settings for example)
- Clients run only and exactly as specified by the server
- More downtime
-Portability in that all applications are on the server so any workstation can access
- Opportunity to use older, outdated PCs as clients
- Reduced security threat
Thick Clients
- More expensive to deploy and more work for IT to deploy
- Data verified by client not server (immediate validation)
- Robust technology provides better uptime
- Only needs intermittent communication with server
- More expensive to deploy and more work for IT to deploy
- Require more resources but less servers
- Can store local files and applications
- Reduced server demands
- Increased security issues
To copy only config client , there are few more profiles that you can choose in scc8
SAP_EXBC - SAP_UCSV with cross-client customizing
SAP_EXPA - SAP_ALL with cross-client customizing
SAP_EXPC - SAP_CUSV with cross-client customizing
if it helful reward points are appreciated

When we do a failover to a Replica, what happened to the connected clients? Assuming that the Replica is located in a remote DR site with a different IP configuration.
Hi,
I need some guidance here, please.
I have some questions about replication:
When we do a failover to a Replica, what happened to the connected clients? Assuming that the Replica is located in a remote DR site with a different IP configuration.
Is possible to automate the failover process? Just like happens in a cluster.
What changes do I need to do in order to guarantee that my clients reach my replica? For example, I need to do a failover to my Exchange Server Replica and I need to minimize the downtime. The same applies for a DC or a SharePoint Server
Thanks in advanced.

Hi efebo,
“The same applies for a DC ”
As for replicating virtualized DC (Personally, I do not suggest to replicate DC , even though it can be replicate ), please refer to following link:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn250021.aspx
"In short, Exchange does
not support the Hyper-V Replica feature. Exchange has a long history of supporting virtualisation from
Exchange 2003 onwards. It is fully supported to install Exchange
2007,
2010 or
2013 as a virtual machine on Hyper-V, but using the Hyper-V replica feature is not supported.
For details please refer to following link:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/rmilne/archive/2013/07/29/exchange-and-hyper-v-replica-support.aspx
I assuming that the "Remote DR site" and the primary site both have public IPs .
Based on my knowledge you can not access replica site VM directly after a disaster , maybe you need to rebuild primary site and replicate VM back .

• What is the best email client for ipad 2

what is the best email client for ipad 2

Im going to go ahead and assume your talking to me?
I ended up in this thread in search of a functional Exchange ready mail client capable of supporting multiple mail profiles. Since there are no free applications to accomplish this in the app stor, which I can find, I figured I'd leverage the 'community' for some direction before throwing good money after bad.
As I assume Im not the only one to do this, I figured I'd help straighten these folks out on the lingo (as they werne't applying it properly) and the sassy 'sound like apple users' comment references the way ANTI-apple folks assume you people are less than adequite users.
If I called an apple an orange, you would say I was wrong. If I did it repeatedly, after correction, you would assume Im incompetant.
Seriously, its a stupid machine and will only do what you tell it. (true for all computers, apple or otherwise)
So if I ask for a mail client, dont give me a provider. If I ask for a service, dont name a client.
Your right, this post is old. And stilll doesnt have an answer. . .
In response to MichelPM, I didnt call your baby ugly. The 'Bandwagoning' is cute though. My advice is sound, and helping you folks not to look so... well... stupid.
Since you interceded though, how about a little help? What mail client do you use? Is it exchange Compatible, with active sync? Does it offer multi-profile support? And the clients want images in their signatures, and multi signature support. (I can do this with my android phone )
Im looking forward to your responses.

1. What is the package structure need to be followed for creating abap client proxy.
2. I read some where in the form, it need to be 4 levels. Why is it?
Thank you

Hi
U hav to create a 4 level package structure for client ABAP proxy.
U can create ur on packages
1st level-structure package.
2nd level-main package.
3rd and 4th level-sub packages.
To the 4th level only u hav to create proxy.
The classes and code wil be automatically generated at the time of proxy creation.
I think the 4 level structure bcz while in r/3 everythin in integration builder like software component version and all wil be takin as different levels.
Also u can go through the weblogs in the above replies u got.

• FCP X, what do I give a client for their archives

I shoot events that can range from 5 minutes to 2 hours. After the edit is approved I'm looking to give the client a file that they can play and if necessary a file they can archive so if in the future another type of media becomes the norm they can transfer the file to that media. IE: today's is DVD tomorrow maybe Blu Ray. I'm assuming a .mov will be good to "play" on either a PC or Mac but what about the archive file. Someone told me they give the client the "ISO" files on a drive. Not sure what "ISO" is!
Thanls for the help

In Compressor, in Job Action. select Hard Drive for Output Device. It's something very similar in X.
Good luck.

to choose the best drivers for my applications. can
anybody suggest which one to choose and what are the
drawbacks in each driver ?I dont get what excatly you meaned by driver but basicaly a thin client means it only does the prescentation of data to its user and all the logics will be in a server. for every task it will connect to the server.
In a Thick client it can do more processing and it will connect to the server only for the tasks that it cant perform with the data it has in the client.
>
Thanks,
J.KathirHere is a general comparison between main features of thin/thick(fat) clients
Both thin and thick clients has their own advantages and disadvantages. most of time one wins when other fails.
1. Thin client extencvely uses the server to all its operations which will increace the network traffic and the load on the server. as a result the perfomance of the client will depend on the load and the resources available for the server
2. But all the logic is in the server so if you are developing multiple clients for the same application (Ex:- Standallone app, Web client, Mobile clients......) you will not need to duplicate logic in each client.
3. Fat clients reduce the load on server and less dependant on the server. but since they are fat they will take more processing power and memory on client computers.
4. If you are developing multiple clients as menctioned in 2 you will need to duplicate the logics written the clients

Maybe it's because I have office installed but I tought it was free to use?
I underwent the same exact scenario. Installed MS Office (Home and Student), and also installed the RDC client. Worked for several months, and then gave me the "license expired" problem. Since it went a few months longer than the previous installation, which was not part of Office, I erroneously thought that the licensing problem was gone. Not so. Six months after install, it is dead. I think the Office version just gives you six months or so of usage, instead of three.
It's awfully "nice" of Microsoft to pull this, without giving the user any means for resolution. It says you have to buy a license, but from who?, where? How much?

• What should be done when client.connect() failed?

Hi guys,
I am using JCO to connect backend System. If client.connect() is called and for certain reason failed, what should I do to roll back the action so that the system keeps normal. I think client.disconnect is not the solution, because connect is not successful. I encountered this problem, and my portal is totally down, what should I do to avoid this situaltion?

• What has changed in HTTP Client VIs from LV2010 to LV2010 SP1

Hi all,
It appears to be a major internal undocumented change for HTTP Client VIs between LV2010 and LV2010 SP1. In LV2010, the client VIs used a dll called "ni_httpClient.dll", but in LV2010 SP1 it is not used any more, probably used pure LabVIEW solution. There was a bug in HTTP PostMultipart, since it couldn't be executed twice, needed to disconnect and connect to get it work again. However, in LV2010 SP1, they have done some changes, since this VI now returns a header stating it using HTTP 1.0 and not HTTP 1.1 as "old" LV2010 did. I've also had problems in LV2010 SP1 that if the server doesn't reply anymore the HTTP Client VIs hangs and I need to kill LabVIEW.exe process. In LV2010, there was a timeout. I've tried to set different time out between 10 and 10000. No difference. I know that there has been a bug in LV2010, since time out was in s and not ms as the controls says. Don't know if they have fixed this in SP1, it seems to be an infinite timeout...
Anybody has an experience of HTTP Client problems between LV2010 and LV2010 SP1?
Thanks,
Mattias

Hi,
I found what has changed from LV2010 to LV2010SP1
* ni_httpClient.dll is now included in the runtime engine (that was why I though they didn't use the ni_httpClient.dll anymore, but that is not the fact. It's not included in the builds anymore though)
* ni_httpClient.dll is version 1.1.0f14 in Lv2010 and version 1.1.0f0 in LV2010SP1. They have stepped back??? Why?
In Lv2011, ni_httpClient.dll is version 1.2.0f0. Maybe I can try this and see what happens.
Thanks,
Mattias
