It's a good idea to backup your Mac Address Book application and iCal Calendars application from each application. This way you can go back and pull out items if you lose something. I do this everyday.

Hold down the power button and home button at the same time until the phone powers on, shuts back off, powers on again and continue to hold it until it shows the itunes logo to plug in to itunes. This should allow you to restore without unlocking it.

- You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

If you are sending an iMessage rather than an SMS (normal text message) it uses your Data Plan not your Text Message allowance.

The Blue iMessages use your Internet connection.
If you are away from a Wifi network it will use your Cellular Data Plan for the internet connection.
The Green Ones use your Text Messaging service.
Again If they have set up iMessages on their iPhones it will be sent through the internet.
All other Phones and iPhones that don't have iMessage set up, will use your Text Message Allowance known as SMS. -

All items are still on my iphone and thought they would automatically return when syncing, sadly did not happen but have two options........... It's harder to do because I have to key an artist's name rather than pick one from a list. The results aren't the same for several reasons. If you key an artist name that matches a song, you get that song, too. OK, that doesn't happen THAT much, but it does happen. And if I key a partial name, say "Morrison" for "Van Morrison", I get all the songs on "Morrison Hotel" by the Doors.
"All Songs" should be added to the iPad music player. While they're at it, they should add column titles and allow allow sorting on the column values. -

If your Phone allows tethering, and your carrier does as well, you can tether your iPad to your Phone and use the Phone's internet connection with your iPad. You don't need a cellular iPad for that.
If you want your iPad to be independent of your phone, and want it to connect to the internet anywhere you are, you would need a cellular version and a data plan contract for it.
Alternatively if your Phone uses a sim card type accepted by your iPad you can also use that in your iPad when you need to, though your phone would be turned off and no calls could come in or be made if you choose to go this route. -

Why is there no way to delete all emails from my iphone? IOS 7.1. Every other phone in the market allows you to 'select all' then delete.
This trick of selecting one, then holding move, then unchecking (and subsequently moving all the emails to trash) doesn't work. I've read these suggestions and while it appears to work the emails just show up again once you leave and return to the inbox. Perhaps it worked on an older version of IOS.
It blows my mind this is not a standard function. I get a few hundred emails at work every day, and most of the time I just want to delete all of them from the phone as I've read them already. Currently it seems i can only click edit and then have to check each email individually to be able to delete them at the same time; this is the definition of tedious. I would think there are millions of other iphone users who get their company email on their phones that must experience the same thing. It seems now i either spend 20 minutes a day deleting emails, or just let thousands of emails accumulate on the phone (taking up space and also making it hard to just review the most recent emails which is all I want to be able to do when checking email on my phone).
I am hoping I am just missing some simple solution here that everyone else uses. Please help!!
MarkOnly Apple could answer as to why there is no "select all/"delete all" function in the iOS mail app. Users have been bemoaning this lack of functionality for years now. Like everyone else, you can submit feedback to. Apple here.

While I understand the whole idea of being able to use the phone on the run, if you have an IMAP email account, and if you have access to a computer at work during the day, use your "select all" function on the server and delete all of the unwanted email there and it will be removed from the phone as well.
That doesn't solve the problem on the phone, but it gets rid of the email which is your ultimate goal anyway. -

My iphone5 crashed Wed May 29 and I am not sure why.. I had to do a restore and have been trying to slowly get everything back on the phone... Yesterday June 6 it blacked out once and I don't have everything on the phone as before.... Is it damaged and should I try to get a new one?

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(

Since iOS 7.1 my phone won't turn on and is asking me to connect to iTunes. I connect to itunes and it says it needs to be restored. Not sure why. I try to restore it and then it says something went wrong and it won't work. So I've been without my phone for a couple days now. It gives me error code (29). The phone almost reboots and then 3/4 of the way through it gives me the error message.

Photos from the Internet will not load correctly. I get white boxes with blue question marks inside. This has only been happening for the past 3 weeks so I'm not sure why it is happening.
Yes - email & text work fine but when I use something like Google Images or search a blog with imbedded photos I get the empty white boxes with question marks. If I click the question mark it opens the photo but I can't possibly do that for EVERY image on EVERY page I search!?!?! I've rebooted the iPad & my wireless card several times but neither action helped. Have any clue what I should do now?
