On iTunes 11, how can I access home sharing if the music is from a CD on a different computer using Home Sharing? Is there any way I can download these songs if (A) I no longer have the CD, or (B) I do not want to pay $25 a year for iTunes Match?
Yes, you can copy songs that you ripped from a CD to your Home Sharing computer.
Turn on Home Sharing first on both computers. To do that, go to File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing. Enter your Apple ID and password.
Now go to your computer that you want to copy the songs to and connect to your Home Share. You can do that by clicking on the popover button located at the left top corner right below the play control buttons. Click on it and scroll to the bottom until you see your Home Share and select it.
Go to Music in your Home Share. Select the songs that you want to copy in your Home Share and click Import at the bottom right corner. -

I have an iphone and my daughter has an ipod. She has all my contacts showing up on her ipod. I deleted them and now they are gone from both. is there any way of retreiving this deleted information.
When you share an iCloud account, any data you sync with the account is merged, and any actions you take on one device (such as deleteing contacts) is synced to all other devices sharing the account. To avoid this, each person's device(s) should have a separate iCloud account with a separate ID. (You can continue to share your iTunes account; it does not need to have the same ID as the one used for iCloud.)
To create separate icloud accounts, decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting the other person's contacts from your account, and vice versa).
As for recovering the deleted contacts, you can try restoring her phone from her most recent backup. This may recover the contacts, however it often doesn't. Restoring to an iCloud backup has to be done in the initial setup process. If she have any data on your phone now that is not in the backup that she wants to save she will need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens as you did when the phone was new. When given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish. -
I have an iPhone 4. I unplugged my phone during an update and have lost all pictures, text messages and videos from the last year. Is there any way to restore from a certain date to recover them?
If you have a current backup you can restore your phone to that backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766

I have apparently wiped out my iPhone 4 contacts list, my apps, and my photos when I synced with iTunes. Maybe I clicked the wrong button, but I just wanted to download the photos from my phone to my computer. Is there any way to restore my previous information?
Did you sync to itunes from a different computer than the one you normally sync to?
syncing to itunes doesn't just wipe out all your data.
If you have a backup of your phone you can restore to that backup. -
I have forgotten my restrictions passcode and i dont want to lose any media on my iphone, or any apps, i am scared to back up my media for restore in future as these photos and videos mean a great deal to me, is there any way i could get around it? Thankyou if you can help; oh and last time i restored my iphone it didnt restore ALL the media only some and very improtant photos went missing :(
All media and apps on the device should already be in iTunes on the computer.
If you have forgotten the restrictions passcode, the ONLY option is to restore as new.
Then sync back any media, apps, contacts, etc back to the device.
You can not restore from backup as the restrictions passcode is included in the backup. -
My computer was formatted but I need to access my old content on my itunes backups. Is there any way I can acquire these iTunes backup files ever again?
I tried recovery software but had no luck! You reformatted the drive in your computer. The backup files you want to access were overwritten when you re-formatted the drive. They are gone. There may be data recovery services that can get them back. Search google if you want. This has absolutely nothing to do with using an iPhone at this point. You deleted files on your computer...

Is there any way to create a time machine backup to an external hard drive with content already on it? I have a hard drive that i have used for pictures but when i try to run a backup it says i need to start from a blank drive. Can i get around it?
It would be much better if you had separate drives for the pictures and Time Machine backups.....but, if you want to use the same drive for both purposes, temporarily move the folder with the pictures to another location for safe storage.
Run the Time Machine backup on the hard drive and verify that everything is working correctly. Time Machine will format the disk for you in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as part of the backup process.
Then move the folder with the pictures back to the hard drive with the Time Machine backups.
When you have tested to make sure that everything is working again, then and only then should you delete the folder with pictures from the temporary storage area.
Again....it would be much better to keep Time Machine backups on a drive just for that purpose, and other data on another drive for that purpose. This is clearly one of those times when the fact that you can do something does not mean to imply that you should do it. -
I accidentally put a passcode lock on my iPhone and I forgot what I set for it, is there a way to take it off without accessing the phone? I have restored my phone but it doesn't work, is there anybody that could help me please?
You can't "accidentally" put a passcode on any iPhone...its a multi-step process. Further, restoring an iPhone will remove the passcode, as the passcode is not included in an iPhone backup.
Are you sure you're talking about the phone passcode & not something else...like the "Restrictions" passcode? -
I have been using the apple IPad camera connection kit and my photos can be viewed in the events... But the all imported folder is no longer there and the last import folder is empty. Is there any way to resolve this and get my all imported folder back? as well as get my last import functioning normally?
Please please help me, if you know how.

I have a iPhone 3GS and the power connection prongs are damaged and it won't charge or sync. Is there any way to repair? Or, at least is there a way to charge so I can write down phone numbers and othe rinformation. My power charge is totally out right now.
If it will not turn on - you have zero chance of getting anything off the phone.

Is there any way to restore an iPhone 4 from a previous backup?
I accidentally deleted all my contacts from my cloud settings, prior to backing it up on the computer. I hadn't realized it until I checked my phone again. Now the current backup has no contacts. Is there any way to restore my phone from a previous back up?
Thanks in advance guys!Every backup replaces the old one, unless you use one to back up from. So, if there are no more backups listed in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, or your last backup has been replaced in iCloud, your info is gone.
If you included the backup folder of your computer in your backup routine, you might be able to restore backups done on the computer, see this article:

My iPhone 5s is stolen and I want to restore iPhone photos from iCloud. I have use iCloud to backup the iPhone photos. Is there any way to restore my photos from iCloud to mac?
The backup of your iPod Touch would include your camera roll photos. Restoring the backup to another iPod Touch or iPhone would recover them. Photos will not be restored by restoring the backup to an iPad.
Note: Apple deletes iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to do this before then.
