The extensive itunes libary that was on an ipod classic likely as not came from an itunes library. The music that is on the itunes library will sync to an iphone once the iphone has been authorized through the itunes store. If it is as you say that all this music came from an 'itunes library' then there should not be an issue syncing this music to an alternate device.
If on the other hand this music came from multiple itunes libraries. It will then be a matter of logging in with each apple id login which was used when purchasing the songs to then re-downloading the songs to that specific apple id login. Once you have purchase music from the itunes store using an apple id login the music then follows the apple id virtually indefinately. -
HT203433 I am not able to sync my music from my lap top to my Iphone 5S?
I am sure that I have changed a setting somehow, somewhere. In addition whenever I connect my phone to my lap top the automatic prompt changed and looks like a file screen.

What kind of computer is your desktop? Which operating system are you using?

But this will not work, if you have iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled on your iPhone. Disable iCloud Photo Library (Beta) in the Settings for Photos&Camera, if you want to sync photos from your Desktop computer to your iPhone. -

When I connect my iPod to my computer, it is not recognised with my iTunes, so it is not able to sync or update, what do I do?
I Have the same problem but am using windows 8 on a PC, my iPod nano 6th gen. It seems that I updated to new version of iTunes and stopped recognizing my nano. My ipod screen does tshow that it's connected, if you can help me. Thanks!!

i formatted my computer and now i would like to sync my music from my iphone back to the computer, is there any way to do this? i don't want to loose my music. p.s. all my music that was on the computer was there privately, i did not get it from itunes.

I have PDF files in iBooks on my iPad and am not able to sync them to my Mac computer. Please help!
You should be able to copy them over to your Mac's iTunes by connecting the iPad to it and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (that should copy PDFs and epubs that are in iBooks, not just actual ibooks) - does that not work ?

I have an iPhone, Ipad and a Laptop. They all are configured to company's exch.I am not able to sync calendar events on iPad made from my computer or iPhone. It works fine when I make an event from iPad, it shows on computer and iPhone but not vice-versa.

I would be concerned too if I was not able to play my music in iTunes. It sounds like the music files may be in a location that iTunes is not expecting. I recommend reviewing the following articles to locate you music files on your computer:

I restored my iPhone6 from iCloud. How come I'm not able to sync it with my computer? When I plug in my phone to my computer (PC), the "Welcome to your new iPhone" screen comes on. And my only two options are to set up as new phone or restore from an older phone. But I don't want to restore at all because my phone is already all set up. Is there a way to bypass the "Welcome to your new iPhone" screen?m Any help would be appreciated!
I'm assuming your using iTunes to sync your iPhone correct? When you plug your iPhone into your PC/Mac..Open iTunes. Go to music tab. Pick the music you want on your iPhone. Press Sync. . I'm assuning you've done thiis before so I apologize if I sound like I'm telling you something you've already done. If you can please give more information it would be easier to solve your problem.
