I have just moved to mac and pointed my screen saver to my pictures folder and all the pictures are 1mb in size with a lowest resolution 4416 × 3312. Why do I still get blury images in my shifting titles screen saver?

VLC is a good choice. While I don't know if it will play your files, Perian is a helper app for Quicktime which allows you to play a lot of things in the Quicktime Player.
There is also Flip4Mac which allows you to play windows media files in Quicktime.
Finally, note that the extension on a video file doesn't really tell you what you need to play it. The .avi, .mpg, etc. is only the wrapper around the actual video. The video is encoded by some means and needs to be decoded. The video inside the .avi can be encoded in one of many different schemes.
VLC, Perian, Flip4Mac, and many others, are all able to decode various flavors of encoding. Having all of those in your toolbox will help to allow you to play most of the things you'll find.

How much free space do you have on your hard drive? - Note that you need an absolute minimum of 10GB at all times for normal operation of your computer
Deleteing photos probably is not the answer - you probably need to purchase an external hard drive and move your iPHoto library (and possibley iTunes library) to it - you can operate that way (be sure the EHD is always available when you launch iPHoto) or you can have a small library on your MB and use iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - to move photos between teh internal and external hard drive

Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

so after reconnecting ipod to itunes and i re-sync my music and video clips it seems to have sorted it self out.
it was working fine before any of this happened. have owned the ipod for 3 weeks

This same thing happened to me yesterday, on the 6th. Very annoying.
I reset it, and it did not help. So I plugged it in, and "restored" it to original settings, re synced it, and now it appears to be working again.
Not sure if that helps or not.

I'm taking the computer to assistance as suggested. Even tho I'm almost 100% sure that this isn't a hardware issue.
Here is why I'm not wasting my time on my affirmative. I'm computer science bacharelor, I know about computer architeture and S.O architeture and also I'm computer developer for more than 10 years now. All behaviors presented have no connection with hardware problems. What I'm trying to say is that I'm not just saying things for saying, I have a logic behind what I say.
For a short example, whenever mouse right click stops working on a specific window/software, if I click on the window top border and drag it around and go back to the window content, the click works again.
Also, my keyboard and mouse work via usb. Usb is working normally. If I plug a usb memory stick it shows that usb is working as it should be.
On windows, right button click is also not working inside any software window, but if I click on start button, icons on desktop, anything on windows epxlorer, it works as it should be. Isnt't there bootcamp underneath windows ?
on top of it, it's a brand new mac, i have it for 5 months.
All these people that have the same problem, do u think all of them have hardware issues? Do you think Apple would keep releasing new computers with hardware problems and they wont have any information/recall for them? and worst, the problems start in a random date ?
This is my first mac and all these problems, being hardware or not, makes me lose all confidence on Apple products.

What version of iPhoto?
Select one and rotate it. Then rotate it back. Does that make it appear?
A much better work flow is the keep the photos after importing. Check the success the import, wait for at least one successful backup cycle then use you camera's format command to reformat the card

Welcome to the Apple community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

IGNORE the last post: he thought you are using Lion or Mountain Lion.
Since you are using Snow Leopard, you need to install Rosetta. It can be found on your Snow Leopard Install DVD in the Options section.
Once installed all should be well again.
Also, if your computer is connected to the internet when the Dialog Box about PowerPC applications comes up, it MIGHT allow you to download Rosetta from the internet. There has been some discussion that Apple has discontined internet download of Rosetta into Snow Leopard.
Someone else will have to address your lost files problem.

Not letting me import any photos, RAw or JPG and all the pictures i had in lightroom are gone!

This has been very very frustration!!. Lightroom is not letting me import any pictures at all!! and all of the pictures i had on light room are now gone. i did not have this problem a week ago and nothing has changed! This needs to be fixed ASAP please because i am on a time crunch!!!

If the photos that were on your iPad mini were synced from another computer, you erased them by syncing with your Mac. They are gone now and cannot be retrieved unless you sync them back using the other computer. If you do that, then you will erase the iPad again and replace the contents on ot with the contents of the iTunes library on the second computer.
You can only sync with one computer at a time. There are other ways to share photos from other comouter's and devices. Ask whoever synced the photos onto your mini to provide you with a flash drive with the photos on them, copy them to your Mac and then sync them using iTunes on your Mac.

That depends on what you mean. If you mean two iTunes Store accounts, no. Only one Apple ID can be logged into the iTunes Store at a time and if automatic download, iTunes Match or re-downloading of content is used the ID can not be changed for 90 days.

If you previously had been using the same Apple ID for iTunes Store purchases for both of you there is no reason to change what you've been doing. If this is your wife's first iPhone, and you want to share the iTunes Store account just don't use the new Apple ID you created. As long as there are no purchases on it there's nothing to worry about.

I have downloaded several songs and all the songs are either broken up or stops half way through . What can i do to sort this ? I have tried ACC version and it tells me an error has occurred.

What format are these problem tracks in? If they are MP3's, trying running them through the MP3 Validator utility to have it fix any missing or corrupted track data.
