can we get apple to make a fix to download that would enable the bluetooth file sharing with any deivce? i would like to to stay with Apple iphone but if they dont improve the lack of features.. i will move on and I know im not the only person to think like this.

There is not "fix" to be provided, Apple made a decision to not include the file sharing profile.
You are welcome to provide feedback, but after six years, I would not hold your breath.

I tried to update my Pinterest App on my iPad mini and it froze. I held the home and sleep buttons down to shut it down and now I can't get it to turn back on. All that happens is the apple in the middle of the screen pops up for a minute and goes off.

I tried to plug it into itunes and an error message comes up and says it can't read the ipad.

I am trying to use Apple's FIPS certified crypto library's crypto APIs in my application to do the crypto operations. For that I was asked to refer the "Role Guide : User" in the nist document. But I couldn't find the same. Can I know where I can download the same.

The OS X and iOS programming documentation is the Cryptographic Services Guide, and related manuals.
AFAIK, what you're probably after is the Common Crypto stuff that's part of libSystem. See man CC_crypto for some introductory details of that, and there's a sample program available.
The devforums.apple.com developer forums and the developer.apple.com web site will be better resources for programming questions than are these ASC forums (and that includes my answer here!), and the Fed-Talk mailing list might be of interest for this question.
Given the usual arc these security questions follow, I'd suggest ignoring what I've posted here and directly contacting the Apple Developer Technical Services (DTS) folks, and ask for formal help with this. The folks I've worked with over the years that were looking for FIPS 140-2 crypto stuff and similar usually have a requirement for a paperwork trail involved, and that means direct contact with the vendor when you cannot local published formal statements. Not unofficial stuff from random folks like me posted here in ASC. (There's an Apple contact on that FIPS page, BTW.)

Exactly what the title says.
My unlock button got to the point where it does not work literally 80% of the time. I've dealt with it throughout the past couple of months and I've been too lazy to lazy to go to the apple store.
I was planning on visiting the apple store about this issue and I've been told that I would be able to receive a brand new iphone 5 as long as I'm still under the warranty. I purchased the iphone 5 last year sept 10 (pre-order) and got it on Sept 21 i think....so I'm not sure which date is when my warranty will be over.
Is it possible if I can get a new iphone 5 and trade that in + the difference of iphone 5 and 5s and receive the 5s?
Just wondering. If I cant, then I guess I will stick with the iphone 5 for another year.

How can I get Apple to give me an activation key for QT Pro that works?

Stopping at the Genius Bar last night, they suggested I upgrade my QT Viewer to Pro so I could move some of my digital video over to my iPone. I followed the purchase/download instructions and after putting in the activation code, I was NOT redirected to the page to activate the Pro version. I did the usual of retyping ny name, the key and even installed QT Viewer again, all to no avail.
I caled Apple support this morning and was told to call QT support and have them make my key recognizable. The only problem is the number she gave me for QT support says there is no QT phone support, only web information on frequently asked questions and this forum. I sort of feel like I am going in a circle.
So if anyone has the magical answer on how I can get Apple to give me an activation key that actually works without being able to speak or email a human support person, I would very much appreciate it.

error message. In fact nothing happens. My name and
key are typed in and from what I understand, once you
do that with a real key it directs you to the
registration page. When I get done entering the
information the window just sits there without any
button or option to continue.
QT Pro is already in the QT (non-pro) you installed and the key (which is a hash of your name in part) allows the Pro features to work.
No redirect, internet, nothing like that. As such many people have activated and think they haven't. Just look at the menu items and see if the "Pro" logo is shown next to a few (which are greyed out and not available without Pro). If not you are done.

AIf the iPod broke because of a defect then yes, Apple will replace the iPod if it is within the warranty period. A broken/cracked screen is not covered. However, sometimes if you make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store they will exchange your iPod at no cost if it has a broken/cracked screen.

Apple has a built-in method for setting up Gmail accounts that makes sure that they are set up properly.
Go to System Preferences under the Apple menu and select Mail, Contacts & Calendars. In the left-hand sidebar select the Add Account… item. In the main window select Gmail. Enter the information in the drop down sheet.

I can't get Apple TV 1st gen to show as a device in itunes. I've checked the netwrok connection on apple TV. The help menu says to go into preferences and make sure search for apple TV is turned on, but that is not an option in version 10.4.

Mov is a container format, you'd need to look at the codec used by the movie file inside the container to know whether it will work with the Apple TV or not.

Installed Windows 7 on my IMac, now I can't get Apple OS to work

Installed Windows 7 on my IMac, now I can't get Apple OS to work, I have tried booting with Snow Leopard disc in and nothing works. I had trouble from the start but now nothing works except Windows 7, sound wont work etc. etc.

I originally tried installing Widows 7 so I could run my Flight Simulator X on the IMac I got from my daughter and I used BootCamp and had partitioned it at about 4GB for windows and the first thing I got was I had to put a bootable disc in and neither the windows 7 or Snow Leopard would work. Then I got Windows 7 to work but I can't get Snow Leopard to run, when I put the disc in it says that it not supported. Of course windows wont show me anyother areas of the disc that I could try to get to, the other side of the partition I guess. I have tried holding the C key down on reboot and that doesn't work. I hope this gives you a little more insight as to what is going on. Thanks Bill
