If you don't use your phone and you don't use iTunes, what are you expecting to use? Your options to update your device are Over The Air through Settings>General>Software Update or by connecting the device to iTunes and updating.

I have tried doing it straight from the phone And itunes.. But when i try to get something it will say "This Apple ID has not been used with iTunes Store. Hi, I had this problem as well. Everyone kept telling me just to select the "None" option next to the credit card choices -- but I didn't HAVE a "None" option and was getting very frustrated!
It turns out that in this case, you do have to add a credit card to finish creating your Apple ID. Then as soon as it's created, you can go to "Account" at the bottom and immediately remove your credit card information. This worked for me -- my credit card was only in the system for about 15 seconds before I was able to remove it with no problem.
Hopefully this works for you as well!!

First thing to try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
This fixes many little annoyances like this. Hope it works for you.

Often that's caused by damage to one of the other software components.
I'd try the following document first:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
(If you're running XP, there's a link to the equivalent instructions for that OS in the document.)

I built WebI query for the custom query of SAP BI.I am not getting an selection or prompt for the WebI Query even though there is a selection in BI Query.If i develop WebI report for the standard query of the Bex i am getting selction options.
Please suggest how can i do this.

Where in the Query Designer are the selections defined?
Selections defined under Characteristic Restrictions should show up when you run the webi report.
Additional selections created under Default Values won't show running a webi report (that is just an additional filter on the data retrieved from the data warehouse).

Help! My husband got an iPhone 4S. I have had one for a while. We each have an apple ID. I need step by step instructions as to change his phone settings so that we use my apple ID for music and apps on his phone and his apple ID for everything else. My goal is that he can access music and apps I already purchased, but we each get our own texts, emails, etc.
I know this has been asked hundreds of times, but I can't find the answer searching past discussions. I did this already for my daughter's ipad mini, but I had to go to the apple store for help. I can't figure it out on my own. Any help is appreciated!

Make sure that in Settings
Messages> Send/Recieve -your signed in to your own account
When your trying to share applications you cant be signed in to both accounts Simutaniously but you can technically sign in to their account in Settings>iTunes / App store- download their apps/music
Then sign out and back in to your device with your own account

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

I have been in the tools section and went to options and under the privacy section I have selected to remember the passwords and it does not. I also went into the security section and checked the remember the password section and it does not remember them.My exception are empty in security section also. I have read all of the replys and have yet to solve the problem.
