now the 'none' option is not available????
As I understand it you can only follow the steps that allow you to create an account without a credit/debit card if you do them in exactly as described as you create a new AppleID. If you have already created the AppleID that you want to use, and iTunes is requesting a payment card, then you need to attach a credit/debit card to the account in order to prove that you are resident in the country whose store you are trying to use. Once that has been established you can then set the payment method to None.

To set up an ID for apple you have to provide means of payment even if you don't wish to buy anything, hence why there is no option for 'none'. I wonder why this option is not available any more?

In my payment type screen, "NONE" option is not available.... I have only three types, "1.VISA, 2.Master Card, 3. AMEX".... I dnt want to register with my credit card detail.... I want use only free applications..... Can any one help me in this.....?

You must first sign out from existing account.
Settings > Store > Apple ID :youroldID > Sign Out
Then go to App Store to buy a Free App.
From popup window. select Create New AppleID
Indicate Store location and provide necessary information

You've logged into your account and viewed your purchase history and there aren't any error messages shown (e.g. 'problem with a previous purchase'), and you haven't got any purchases due (e.g. pre-orders and/or subscriptions) : Why can’t I select None when I edit my Apple ID payment information ?

I am trying to create mobile pages using the steps file>new>new document>page from sample>mobile starters>jquery mobile (cdn). When "page from sample" is selected, the subsequent options are not available. This seems like a silly question, but how do I acquire these options?

followed these wonderful instructions but no matter what I do I do NOT get the "none" option!!!
I highly recommend not advising people to create new Apple IDs. This is pretty much NEVER a valid troubleshooting step and will cause much more harm than good.
For an EXISTING Apple ID, you should be able to edit your iTunes Payment Type to be "None" as long as you do not have an unpaid order on your account. Please note that if your Apple ID already has already been created for Apple Online Store, iCloud, etc. before you use it with iTunes, it is necessary to add some type of payment type or redemption code during the initial use of the account with iTunes. HOWEVER, if you don't want a credit card on file, you can immediately edit the payment information to change the Payment Type to "None" after the initial setup.

If you have an unpaid order, you must first provide a valid payment type to take care of that unpaid balance, and then you'll have the option for "None."

I wish to delete my visa vanilla gift card info because it no longer has any value but when I go to the edit billing info page the none option to break the connection is not given and it tells me I am useing a different device and need to conferm the security code on the gift card but when i do it says the code is not valid when i know it is because i'm looking at it on the card. . The play option is not available on some iTunes extra titles on Apple TV
With the latest update iTunes extra has been added to Apple TV, which is pretty cool. BUT some titles do not have the "play" option once you are in the iTunes extra menu. All the features are there, but the play option is not. This is particularly happening with the movie Planes. Other Disney titles, and non-disney titles, seem to irk fine. It works from my MacBook Pro. I have logged out and back into iTunes on my ATV with no change. Any ideas?
It sounds like lack of testing with these titles in all honesty.
I guess you could also alert itunes Store support to this. Hoepfully it's just the odd title here and there, and something that can be quickly fixed, but kids won't understand that!
I'm dissapointed that the old Extras I have downloaded in iTunes won't work as they would with AppleTV 1 when streamed from iTunes.
Uncertain if you can download Extras to iTunes anymore either if they are cloud dependent and in some new format perhaps. Yet to try but I don't think they'd work via Home Sharing. -
I found an article on importing favourites from Explorer. It said press Alt, (which I did but couldn't see anything happening) and then from the File menut, click on Import. However, the Import selection is not available.
if you are unable to see click "import" from menu tab to import bookmark from other browser, in bookmark tab ( Alt B), go to organise bookmark ( Shift+Ctrl+B), on top of the newly pop up tab, click "Import and backup" and click Import HTML, then in Import bookmark from, choose the browser you want to import the bookmark from...hope this help.
