I am trying to turn on my bluetooth but is impossible, not turning on at all... what should i do?! this is so strange! how do i reset the settings or check what is happening?!

I have a Acer V3-571-6643 Laptop.
The built in Keyboard is not working. (Spilt alcohol on it)I intend to fix it but not right now.Problem is I have a bluetooth keyboard that i want to use with it but in order to turn the bluetooth on, on the laptop, you have to use the built in Keyboard.Is there some other way to turn on bluetooth without the internal keyboard?

If you followed the steps I posted and Bluetooth is not listed there might be a hardware problem from liquid being spilled on it. The liquid could have gotten past the keyboard onto the parts below and is causing issues.

Cant turn on bluetooth.

I need to use Bluetooth to connect to my phone, but it wont let me turn Bluetooth on. The option to 'Turn Bluetooth On' is grayed out. Any ideas?

I had this problem after waking my MacBook Pro from deep sleep with the monitor hooked up. I was able to fix it by killing (force quit) the bluetooth daemon a couple times.

Start up the Activity Monitor (find it with Spotlight). Hit Command-1 to bring up the Activity Monitor window. In the blank at the top with the magnifying glass icon, type "blue". Sellect it, and hit "Quit Process" stop sign icon. Do it a couple times and the blue tooth icon will turn black again.

When i search in windows for bluetooth i find the application, then when i click it.. nothing happens.. it doesnt appear in my tray!
Also it is not listed in the devices.. which is worrying cause in my build specs it says Bluetooth 3.0
Anyway to get it working?
In task manager i can see the bluetooth tray application... but not in the actual taskbar?!

You can try this:
Restart your iOS device.
Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.

You already got the answer.
The iPhone bluetooth ONLY supports connections for headsets, and tethering an Internet connection (only if your phone is set up to do that). You cannot transfer files from a computer using bluetooth. Even if it did work, bluetooth is terribly slow. I doubt you would want to wait on it.

I have ios 7 and lately when im turning off cellular data for some apps when i leave settings and go back in they have turned on back again by themselves. It appears as if i cant turn off cellular data for the apps i want. Any tips?

I have ios 7 and lately when i go to settings-cellular and try to turn off cellular data for some apps it doesnt work. As i turn off cellular data for one app immideately after i exit settings and re-enter settings cellular data for that same app goes back on again by itself. That happens for most of my apps and is reqlly annoying. Whats more annoying is that when i am not using wifi even though the settings for cellular data for safari or facebook or some other app are turned on (since i cant turn them off as i mentioned) i get the message that cellular data is turned off for this app and i cant use the internet at all on cellular data. I have reset to factory settings and restored from backup and the problem persists. Is there some help or tips you can offer me?

I used assistive touch to turn off my iphone, because my lock screen button is not working, so now i cant turn it back on! What i did was, i went to assistive touch, then i held down the lock screen button to turn it off. Now i can't turn it back on.

To turn it back on when you use assistive touch, all you have to do is plug your iphone into a charger and it will power back on

My wifi wasn't working for more than 10 minutes at a time after updating to IOS8 and resetting network settings. I turned off google drive, turned off Bluetooth, reset network settings and rebooted my iPad4. So far so good.

I have an ipad4. Wifi keeps cutting out after the upgrade even after I forget the network and resign on or reset all network settings. I deleted iCloud drive from my iPad, turned off Bluetooth, reset network settings, and rebooted my iPad. Since I upgraded to IOS8 this is the longest wifi has consistently been working for me. Which is approximately an hour now. Anyone else find that this worked or have figured out if this or anything out there is a permanent fix?

AppleScript to turn off Bluetooth after an hour of no usage

I'm interested in making an AppleScript that will turn off Bluetooth after a bluetooth device is not used for (let's say) one hour. The script should run only on battery life, not when the computer is plugged in.
Any ideas on how to start? Thanks.

I don't think there's any way (at least easy way) to do this.
AppleScript is very good at initiating events, but not good at responding to them. As such it's not easy to write a script in this manner. About the only way to do this would be to have a stay-open script that periodically checks the list of connected devices and keeps track of when the last bluetooth device was used - however, there's a big difference between being 'used' and being 'connected'... you may have a bluetooth headset 'connected', but if you're not running any audio apps it might not be used, and that's hard to AppleScript to determine.

Bluetooth drivers seem to be installed (Apple Broadcom Built-In Bluetooth - v 5.0.1.0), but I cannot turn on bluetooth anywhere. The switch to turn on bluetooth under wireless devices (charms bar > settings > change pc settings > wireless) isn't there. What can I do?

on my imac I can't recall the group (the ones you click on it the left list) but in one of them it have the blue circle with the bluetooth icon on it of cause one have to install the drivers for bluetooth to work

There is no reason to put it in DFU mode, a reset should work. Although, without a working power button it is not possible to reset the device.
Sounds like it is time to replace the damaged device.
