I have tried to do everything I could find online to make wifi sync work with iTunes 10.6 and iPhone (iOS 5.1)...the second I disconnect my iPhone - the phone dissapears from iTunes (Wifi sync is checked).
I've tried to swtich off devices and shut down firewall already but none of that worked!

hey everyone whoever reads this , i just found out the perfect solution to this problem of mine too but it takes some time and alot of download , just connect it to itunes , and take bacup the press the restore button it , itunes will download around 1 GB of software and then restore your iphone to factory condition and then itune wifi sync will work but if still it dosent do it again now itunes will not download then the problem is definately gone and so that you get your settings and data back right click on your iphone in device list and then select restore from backup optin it takes 5 minutes and here you get your iphone as it is with the wifi sync working perfectly

Hi everyone!
Have had my apple iphone for just under a year.
Couple of weeks ago I noticed that it had stopped connecting to wifi. I have tried apple support, and reset my network settings. I have tried re setting my phone. My phone is backed up, and is on the latest version of IOS.
I still cannot connect it, the bumper is just dimmed grey. I have also tried to turn it on by swiping upwards when on the home screen - still no luck.
The phone itself is also running very slow - when clicking on any options, it takes up to 10 seconds to move onto the next screen!
Anyone have any suggestions please!?

Are you still under warranty? If so, call Apple Çare or make an Apple Store appointment to get it looked at! If you are not under warranty you can try to restore through itunes as this fixes the issue sometimes but it may need replaced!

I've also just run into an issue where I couldn't restore an iPod with a corrupt file system, and the "super fix" in that linked article wasn't working for me. I've run across a potentially useful workaround.
iPod Classic went on the fritz today just after syncing. Couldn't restore via iTunes, kept getting 1439 errors, Windows wouldn't format as FAT32, claimed the "Volume is too big for FAT32". Finally tracked down EaseUS Partition Master Home Edition (Free) and formatted as FAT32 with 128k clusters. The iPod is filling back up again. Might be worth a shot here...

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

Grayed out WiFi is almost always a hardware failure that requires replacment or repair of the phone. If you tried everything in the article that led you here without success, take to to Apple or an Apple authorized service provider.

I had upgraded to FF 4.0.1 a while ago. Last night I got a bubble telling me that FF 4.1.0 was available and I should download and install. This version does not seem to exist. What is this about?

I had installed FF 4.0.1 and have been using it for a while. I am running Win XP Pro, SP2. Last night a messge came up informing me that FF 4.1 was now available and that it would be advisable to download and install it. I did this and everything seemed to work fine but when I look at the 'About Firefox' info under 'Help' it still tells me that I am running 4.0.1. Everything still seems to be functioning well but this disturbs me as it does not seem to have been a FF message. Can you please tell me if such a message was sent out, and if so, why, seeing as the version does not seem to have changed?
