If you connect and select iP5 in computer iTunes, in Apps tab, make sure the apps you want are checked before you sync.
Or on iPhone > App Store > Updates > Purchases > tap the app icon to re-download them.

When you went back to the place where you purchased this phone, & asked them, what did they say?
No one here can help you with this, nor can/will Apple. You need to take this up with whoever you purchased this phone from.

Do you mean that you removed the phone from the 'manage devices' section of your iTunes account ? If you do then that won't stop you being able to purchase items on your phone - you only need to be logged into an account to be able to purchase with it.
If you do mean the 'manage devices' section then you can associate, or re-associate, a device (or computer) by using iTunes Match, or automatic downloads, or redownloading past purchases on it : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

  • How can I sign out from old icloud email on my device? I changed email recently and by mistake restored my new iphone 6 from old back up with email that doesn't exist. Pls help!

I have changed i cloud email recently, and wanted to set up my new iphone 6 from 2 months old back up. Later I found out that icloud has old email, but it doesn't recognize password to sign out because it is not in i cloud system anymore. Now I cant turn off stupid icloud to reset my new iphone 6
How can I change icloud email or reset and erase new phone 6 if it is stuck on an old apple id which doesnt exist?

The fact that the email address doesn't exist anymore doesn't matter. As far as the Apple ID is concerned, the email address is just a user name. As long as you know the password you used, it should be fine.

  • Can I restore a new hard drive from a previous time machine back-up?

    Hi there,
My MacBook Pro 13 inch is 4 years old.
The computer began to freeze/stop working, so I took it to an Apple care centre and they informed that my hard drive has crashed and has to be replaced.
Luckily, I backed up my old hard drive a few days before with an external hard drive using Time Machine. My question is: can I restore this new hard drive with my old time machine backup that is on my external hard drive? If so, how do I do this?
    Thanks

Of course! If you couldn't, Time Machine would be rather worthless, now wouldn't it?

  • I restored my new iphone 6 from my iPhone 5 iCloud backup but the pictures from my camera never restored. How do I fix this?

Just purchased an iPhone 6 and during setup I restored from my iPhone 5 iCloud backup.  Everything  seems to be there but my photos that I had taken using the iPhone 5. Is there a way to get them back?  Most of my pics are synced with iTunes but the last few months had not been.

  • Can you restore a new iPad 3 from an iPad running iOS 5.0.1?

I'm going to help someone move his data from an original iPad to a new 3rd generation iPad. The old one is running iOS 5.0.1, and he is without fast Internet access so no software update is possible to get that iPad onto 5.1.
Does anyone know if the new 3rd gen iPad will restore from a 5.0.1 backup, and be apple to work with no problems?
We won't be able to get to a wifi connection to update the OS for some time.

Yes - it is not a problem. Tell your friend to back up the old iPad and sync with iTunes one last time before restoring the new iPad from the backup.
When he connects the new iPad to iTunes - he should be given the opportunity by iTunes to restore from that backup. Say yes to that and then sync with iTunes as well.
You don't need to use iCloud. I didn't when I set my new iPad up.

  • SMS messages not restoring to new iphone 4 from iphone 3g

    Hi all
My wife has just got an iphone 4 and I have been able to restore all of her data from her iphone 3g except for her text messages.
I have tried a couple of times to restore and think that I get an error message that flashes up but don't get a chance to read it before the restore has completed.  Everything else is OK including contacts, apps, photos etc.
    iPhone 3G is 4.2.1
    iPhone 4 is 4.3.3
Thanks in advace for any help.

Could very well be the backup of the 3G is corrupt. Is all of the data still on the 3G? If so, you could try starting over. First delete any and all iPhone backups listed under iTunes>Preferences(under the edit menu if using Windows)>Devices. Then connect the 3G and manually create another backup: right-click the phone in the left device pane & select "Backup". When complete, eject the phone. On the iPhone 4: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. When complete, connect the phone & try restoring from the fresh backup of the 3G.

  • Can't Restore Exchange 2010 Mailbox DB from HP Data Protector backup

I'm trying to implement Exchange 2010, but I won't feel comfortable moving many users to it until I've successfully restored a mail database from tape backup.  So far, this hasn't worked out so well.  I'm using HP Data Protector for my backup solution.
    Here's what I've done:
    1.  In DP's "Restore" GUI, navigated down to the MS Volume Shadow Copy Writers entry, then selected both "Files" and "Logs" from the DB's entry under Microsoft Information Store.  I'm not restoring any of the other Writers.  So that I don't have to take down Exchange, I'm restoring them to a temporary restore location.
    2. After the restore completes, I go to the temporary restore location on the server and run eseutil /mh on the database, which returns a "Dirty Shutdown" db status.
    3.  Since I have the log files, I attempt to repair using eseutil /r E01 in the log files' path.  This generates "Operation terminated with error -1216 (JET_errAttachedDatabaseMismatch, An outstanding database attachment has been detected at the start or end of recovery, but database is missing or does not match attachment info) after 10.608 seconds."
Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong with this recovery?  If my steps are incorrect I'd love to know, as HP's documentation for restoring Exchange 2010 is very young and not terribly useful.  My ultimate goal is to be able to restore a database from DP's tapes and bring it back online on the Exchange 2010 server.
    Thanks!
    Thanks!

    Hi Ben,
We backup our primary database (Ex Writer) and always with full backup (DB+LOGS). When we restore we restore to alternate location, then manualy copy db file and everything from restored log directory to one folder (for example: d:\restore_DB1). At this
stage DB is in dirty shutdown state. Then we run (in folder where we copied db file and log files)
    Eseutil.exe /R E00 /D
it takes a couple of seconds (160GB file) and the db is in clean shutdown state. Then we do:
New-MailboxDatabase -Name “Restored DB” -Server MBOX1 -EDBFilePath “D:\Restore_DB1\DB1.edb”
    -Logfolderpath “D:\Restore_DB1” -Recovery
    and
    Mount-Database “Restored DB”
now we can restore single mailbox or even single item from mailbox with:
1: whole mailbox with overite the destination
Restore-Mailbox –Identity “USERNAME” –RecoveryDatabase “Restored DB”
    2. whole mailbox to alternate location (new folder in another mailbox)
Restore-Mailbox –Identity “EXISTING MAILBOX TO RESOTRE TO” –RecoveryDatabase “Restored DB” –RecoveryMailbox “MAILBOX DO BE RESTORED
FROM BACKUP” –TargetFolder “NEW FOLDER IN EXISTING MAILBOX”
    3. the same as 2 but single item with MEETING in email subject
Restore-Mailbox –Identity “EXISTING MAILBOX TO RESOTRE TO” –RecoveryDatabase “Restored DB” –RecoveryMailbox “MAILBOX DO BE RESTORED
FROM BACKUP” -SubjectKeywords "MEETING" –TargetFolder “NEW FOLDER IN EXISTING MAILBOX”
    Best Regards,
    Alex

OOPS! Too quick on the trigger to ask that question without trying anything. Sorry. Solved it by touching the bookmark icon.
