i need help here my dad just got me this brand new ipod touch and i took it to school and some idiot stole it my dad just brought it and he cant afford another one so i dont know what to do plz help and how can i find it? bc i was on youtube and saw this thing u download and it can track down your ipod or iphone but i didnt download it. By the way every one in my class denied everything and i just need help.... and thanks
If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled or the iPod been completely restored).
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).

You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

i have an apple ipod touch #2 and i bought it used and couldnt download any thing without there password so i reset every thing and trying to start new. its on and showing me the itunes icon and a usb cord, so i pluged it up to my desktop and downloaded it to the computer and created my apple id, and it is still showing the icon and usb cord. i dont know what to do.

My daughter has interrupted business as usual because she decided to change the passcode on my ipod. This is a first or second generation nano maybe, and it was loaded on a pc in Texas. I dont want to lose the songs that my mom loaded for me because they're irretreivable. Could someone tell me the process to unlock my ipod from my laptop, but reserve my exsisting music?
Try connecting the iPod to the computer your normally sync it with. Then properly eject it. Upon doing so, you may discover that your iPod is unlocked. If it is, make sure to disable the Screen Lock or change the code to something you can remember.
Otherwise, if that doesn't work, your only option at that point is to restore the iPod via iTunes. And yes this will involve wiping all content and settings from the iPod. Afraid there is no other way.
